- I'm trying somethiing new. I'm taking you on my journey on the bench voicing a new Nolatone design, the Junebug "The Graduate". It's a 5 watt single ended tube amp with some unique tonal options.
Note that I'm tracking this straight in to the iphone camera app, no editing, no processing, just raw audio and video. - Hudba
If you are still making the cabinet and want a calculation done , I'm happy to help .
Do you build and cover cabinets? I have a supplier that is working well, but it's always good to have other options.
@@nolatone No sorry I just have become interested in the calculations from practical point of view of how to do it .
I am digging the tone with the clip engaged and the switch in the up position, which is the 500pf/.001uf parallel? Seems like the best balance of the options. 500pf on its own seems a bit too mid forward for a base tone. I'd rather have the option of cutting out lows on the front end than not having enough there to begin with. That or the .022 on its own. The 500 pico is a cool tone but I'd want that on a switch like you have here on the proto.
That's always been a challenge in my designs. I feel the same way, and I have had a tendency to add lot's of switchable options and most people don't WANT too many choices. I could add all those things as options for someone. That's easy for me to do now that I produce my own chassis and control plates in house now.
less bass all day
You prefer the 500pf only or 500pf/.001uf in parallel?
@@nolatone I think without it, whatever was brighter
