I just completed replacing my rod tip guide after watching your video. Thank you for making a simple and straight forward tutorial. Much appreciated! Thank you!
Epoxy can be removed easily if it can be heated to 120-150°C. When applying epoxy will go runny and wet better if the job can be heated to 40-50°C, it will also knock the mixing bubbles out. It will also cure faster if kept warm but this is not always advantageous, although it can be set in 30 minutes doing this, the bond seems to be weaker. A 24h epoxy will always be stronger than the quick-set varieties. All flavours really need 48h to set before use. Epoxy is a cement, it doesn't adhere as well as some adhesives (glues), but it does fill gaps, is strong and permanent unless you want it off. Worked with the stuff.
How do you stop the thread from the spool wrapping elsewhere on the rod......tried to fit my new guides after watching this and ended up losing it! Thread knotted and snapped several times

But the epoxy is similar to the resin used to make the rod, if heated in the future to replace the tip again wouldnt it damage the rod?
Informative, thanks
But with epoxy should the ceramic break again it will be harder to remove no?
Awesome vid so ooooooooo helpful
Thanks!

If you use the epoxy, will the tip ring come off the same way by heating it? if it needs changing in the future.
Yes
💞💞
Can you just replace the ceramic ring insert or is that not possible? Is replacing the whole eye the only way??
He tells at beginning of vid that is not possible….pay attention.
qestion will bazic glue stick work well when repairing a fishing rod yes or no
Part of video shows him using a glue stick dumbo !!!

From Mr Kigan would be best 😂😊
Or you can just buy the same rod go home return the broken one and you are good. Lol
Lmao
Not if the rod is past the waranty period, or if it is an old rod not being sold anymore
