Had some audio issues, but on the bright side new camera đ
It was pretty clear Klopp's intention on blocking and making it difficult for City progressing through the middle of the pitch. Firmino, Salah and Jota advanced and positioned centrally did not allow City progress with Rodri.
As an Arsenal fan, I love this result. For all City's dominance in the league, they're not close to an invincible season. Playing away at Anfield is probably the most difficult game for any team in the league. You've got the crowd, who'll be well up for this game against City. And two very tactical teams.
It just early season not 30 games after . Anythings can happen .. but goodluck for epl challenge from liv fan
Calm down it's too early when you realize that last season city were 12 pnts on top and they dropped them just to win at one point..4 pnts are absolutely nothing
@@loop808 That wasn't really my point Loop808. City will probably win the league, which is a given. What I prefer, as Arsenal fan, is that there are no new invincibles this year, making Arsenal's feat all the more impressive.
welcome christmas/ new year champion. and after that see if arsenal can break curse or not.
Don't be happy last season liverpool was 11 points behind the city and at the end its only 1 point. Arsenal have a hige games ahead like 2 matches against city Liverpool in anfield and etc.
At the end Gunners are Gunners they how to choke the title đ
No one deny salah even Bernardo Silva want his shirt đ
Man you are a gem for football lovers.
I keep hearing ppl blaming Pep for overthinking and losing this game. Few are recognizing that Klopp accepted that he has to change and adapt and that by going back to a more traditional mid/low block and getting rid of the high risk, high line. And that change helped immensely to keep the clean sheet. Klopp won this match as much as Pep lost it.
Liverpool played their hearts out, congrats to the team
Haaland has lesser chances compare to the community shield few months ago, Gomez did exceptionally in the game, and VVD put his body instead of eyesight to defend. Milner is discipline, and getting necessary helps from midfield, Jota did well but injured again. Nunez needs to be more calm and improve his decision, he was way better when played against Liverpool last season, the pricetag and attention pressured him to attempt too much, his physical attributes are amazingđł just calm down boy
Liverpool might have had 2 more if they were sharper on the counters, that chance Nunez squandered by not passing, and Jota's lack of control when receiving that pass.
Salah refusing to pass.
The problem liverpool is the attack players arent playing along, mane left the club, salah is breaking the team apart. Thats why this season they are being so bad in premier league
We also need an el clasico analysis
What a game plan by Klopp!
One major key was Klopp letting the backline stay conservative rather than pushing up high. City barely got to play behind the defensive line because the back 4 was deeper and the dbl midfield pivot removed clean passing lanes. Fantastic job by Klopp who can be tactically stubborn
Klopp and Pep both are/can be stubborn.... I hope Klopp learned his lesson at last. Our defense was so good this time!
Wooooow, that's a wonderful upgrade the new sceeen and the visuals, i hadn't open the channel in a whilw but damn that's so freakin' good
Thanks!!
Pep made a lot of tactical mistakes.
Playing Foden at LW/LWB
Playing Bernardo out of position.
Playing De Bruyne at RWđł
Even Cancelo was not effective.
Dropping Grealish despite his form.
The back three system didn't work at all. It was horrible!
I hope Pep learns from this.
Playing cancelo on the right instead of the left and playing without a real winger like mahrez or grealish was a really really bad bad choice
Mistakes mistakes and mistakes football is about mistakes. With that goal disallowed you called him a genius if eventually City wouldve won it. People just wait for a bad result to say bullshit, Foden best position is that one, Bernardo played everywhere as usual. Just don't be obsessed in the lost and rewatch the game people nowadays just criticise for the result like they are watching highlights of 3min instead of the whole game for sure they do that
You forgot to mention: Gundogan playing more advanced than Bernardo.
@@jorgefernandez8728 No dude, Pep needs to trust his team and usual tactics on big games, whenever he get's into an important match, he changes alot of things, i thought he had learnt from his mistakes but no, I see another ucl upset if this continues
@@barakaaaron9572 you are bang on correct. That's a fact.
I hope the El Clasico analysis is on its way as well. Both teams lining up in 4-3-3 on paper, yet Ancelotti's tactics shone through. Basically, it was a Virgin Xavi vs Chad Carlo.

Whenever I see this kind of video, i wanna become coach
I hope in the next video you actually cover how Liverpool negated pep and stopped them progressing the ball because the game was not only about the pressing, this was not what won Liverpool the game
As there should be an analysis revealing how City to dominated the game too but couldn't convert their chances

As a newcomer to the sport. I appreciate these videos for teaching the more nuanced and tactical aspects of the game. Thank you for these đđœ
Kloop is a mastermind and his tactic dominate Pep at Anfield
I love the tactical analysis upgrade. Keep up the good work
If liverpool keeps playing like this, lets their midfield recover and salah more central, they will start to win more games
When Arsenal beat Liverpool last week I knew as an Arsenal fan Liverpool would beat City at Anfield. They made us play our best game of our life despite us dominating them in the second half. As much as people say Klopp isn't a genius tactician he is because he made everyone in that Liverpool press City except Salah who eventually got the winning goal.
giving Pep a tactical score of 5 is pretty generous , in my honest opinion a 3 would a fair assessment of his tactics , this game was for city`s taking mainly derived from the fact that liverpool are far off the pace. Playing Foden as wing back and Bernardo as wide men was clearly not working , city missed cancelo on the Lb position and Bernardo`s energy in midfield , if Jack had played he would have caused James massive problems out wide . City heavily rely on creating overloads out wide and KDB attacking the half spaces but in this game ,we didnt see those patterns of play.
Simple don't press high.. if any team press high against City they will easily penetrate the lines by their passing ability.. mark the passing line of City whenever get possession just counter attack.. Akanji is not effect against jota if there was Luis Diaz Akanji will be troubled lot..
Liverpoolâs use of asymmetry during build up forced City to abandon their symmetrical press.
What an insightđđ
Imo, with current conditions, Klopp knows his limit. That's why he changed the formations and putting weight into defence. That way, Pep had hard time to predicting the opponent's movements..
In otherhand Klopp knows how to pull out the capability of each of his player.
Sniper mode = Wait and strike!
Good analysis. I think a 7 for Klopp is slightly lower than it should be though.
I've noticed the highest viewed videos on this channel happens to be klopp amd pep
Thank you so much for this video. So, how many times do you watch the game before you do a good analysis like this?
Also, what do you do when you are watching the game? Is there any special things you do?
At times thought liverpool played like classic counter attack team very effective no high line great result.
Its like the clasico real Madrid barça , in big games it's suicide to play attack and risky, you always have to favor the defense first (it's not the show but the results that count)
Nice explanation. Subscribed~
what about Liverpool's blocking of Haaland within the penalty box - granted Alisson's saves were crucial. It seemed like Van Dyk and the fullbacks were "triangulating" well with each other to shut down Haaland and Foden.
Unexpected victory for Liverpool đ€Ż
Not really. Despite Liverpool's recent form its not like their quality has just gone out of the window. Their 7-1 win against Rangers was exactly what they needed before their fixture against City
unexpected??.....Liverpool is still qaulity.....
No donât forget this squad was competing for every cup they could 4 months ago⊠Yeah they are out of form and struggling rn but their core is world class. Even Pep said Liverpool is still our biggest rival.
Pep should have used Julian Alvarez in the beginning of second half or earlier
True
Bro can you explain to me why Liverpool don't want to play 3-4-3 ?
I was waiting for this đ
It becomes clear if you want to cause city problems make sure to block all access to the center and play on the transition you will have a rough time of course you can't neutralize city totally Liverpool with Allison and a bit of luck manage to did it it was a good game
Arguably the most tight game of the season as usually is for the last 5 years. The turning point was that disallowed goal of GĂłmez og, after that the game became crazy and anything could happen Liverpool with his fans behind had eventually a couple to win and they did it. Who knows if the ref allowed that goal of the game ended 2-2 as the last two in Prem, I'm pretty sure it would
But u do know that there was a clear foul on fabinho and the gk . Besides that liv were supposed to have a corner which if it was given , city wudnt have that chance . The refreeing was horrendous
If you look at the xG timemap the game was equal but slightly in Liverpool's favour and then after Salah's goal Liverpool dominated the xG
@@nik8468 Personally I disagree with the disallowed goal but besides that the refereeing was horrendous throughout the entire game. Not surprised since the referee was Anthony Taylor
Wt u can expect from Ref at Anfield o Trafford
And First of all Pep was so stubborn to subs where game demanded Alvarez, Grealish in
@@x_zschannel you're right
What camera/software do you use to make this video, is ti interactive table?
So is Milner a better right back than TAA?
It was more of a tactical preparation that worked. Liverpool missed TAA's attacking prowess. Milner was defensively astute and bombed forward at every opportunity, but he dedicated himself to dealing with Foden.
@@JackSordakaPVS but TBF when we have 4 attackers like that I donât think we need Trent attacking as much we need him defending
@@LFC_edits227 still, in some matches, we can use his brilliant technical skills. Half of the team is suffering bad form, that's why we're complaining about his defensive inadequacy. When things will go well, he'll be back as RB.
@@JackSordakaPVS it's not his fault he has less protection from midfield as klopp is playing him that way.Maybe next city game sub trent off at 60 to 70th minute.
Good analysis.
I asked Pep how Liverpool beat him today. He told me to go fms. So here I am
Are you sure by fms he didn't mean something else? đ
Could you Analyse the Union Berlin v BVB game?
You forgot to mention that City was playing with a 12th man in blue. Thanks to VAR that justice prevailed. I haven't seen Manchester City players this frustrated, and I blame Guardiola for it.
nope they pulled it against city too! Not the fabinho one, but the referee don't blow any foul of it to make the game keep progressing.
Amazing video
Can you do a video on Madrid and Barcelona too
can you make review on leeds vs arsenal? leeds press frustate arsenal at 2nd half wondering how jesse marsch good at it
Fuck Partick Bamford
And leeds were the better side
After all things, only Klopp is able to stop the relentless team of Pep. Can't wait for Arteta to do the same thing đź

Great
EP referees have an agenda against us LFC but we will continue the fight in every single game till the 38th game
Ikr , horrendous refreeing . How that chance for that city goal was even developed is beyond me . The var shud have pulled it back for a corner .
Pep wanted to keep the left side busy and create the overloads and suddenly a shift of ball to the right wing to De Bruyne and one cross to Haaland and goal was the plan.
Only Cancelo played on the right with KDB. Meanwhile Gundo Bernardo Foden were on the left side.
Rodri rarely passed it to KDB.
Klopp worked it pretty well and Pep Overthought a big game again and lost.
Liverpool deserved this win, another masterclass from Klopp đ
There was not masterclass. It was a game of two unbelievable teams going toe to toe honestly a draw was the fair result but Liverpool in second half after City went wild for that harsh disallowed goal was more for Liverpool. Masterclass from both teams
@@jorgefernandez8728 I don't think it was harsh. There was literally two reasons to disallow that goal. The foul on Fabinho and the fact that Alisson had both hands on the ball with the ball pinned to the ground. I don't like that rule, but it is the rule. On top of that, Ederson made a save, so it should have been a corner kick right before that, and not a goal kick.
@@jorgefernandez8728 Notice how you ignore the corner kick that Liverpool could have got for that Ederson save right in front of Anthony before the disallowed goal.

I know you may not reply but what does a pivot mean in football yes I can research but I rather hear it from you. You ther one guy who is audio isn't a problem and never will be thanks for the content
Pivot is like a cdm who stays back , protects the cbs behind him and distributes passes without going forwars often . They might go forward but most of the time they stay back
Pep is clueless when coming to counterattacks. Still remember how Real Madrid beat them in UCL last season despite City had a strong lead till last minute. That is the main reason pep couldnât win CL also.
Pep has this habit of trying to surprise the opponents by tweaking his successful tactics in big games and getting backfired.
Always overthinking in big games
"Peps Shaky defensive play" Yeah its True.
But if Pep put Rodri in CB were they r in defends and then Ruben brcame RB its will be brilliants. City would press like 424. Bernardo join Haaland in Central, Both CMF became DMF. Foden in LWF Cancelo in RW to creat front 4 early in defensive position. I never seen manager using this shape. Maybe its good to completeing
Make a video on how to defend man city and haaland
pep doing pep again
two great ball playing teams settle a game with a route one style long ball goal. Welcome to England
Pep's overthinking tactics backfired đ€Ł
Nah bro pep had very clear plan but he didn't expect from klopp that he'll go with 4-2-3-1 Liverpool exactly do the same thing like man united when they played against Liverpool
@@uzairahmed9664 they started with 442....until the false Salah substitution.....apparently Klopp said in a post match interview...Salah was never supposed to be sub out.....it was the official mistake. So when Klopp spoke to Salah over the confusion...he told Salah to change position and play centrally behind Nunez.
Anyone agree that Manchester City Cancelo was out of position and Mahrez was needed?
Please bro can you replicate mancity tactics on fifa 23
Jst one of that match which causes city to go fckn unbeaten for a long time
Now I don't see them losing a match till world Cup
Jota is an amazing technical player
This formation only works against an attacking team like Man City. If they keep using this formation they will either only get 0-0 draw, or 1-0 win/lose.
Liverpool vs man utd and city vs Liverpool are exactly same klopp put his football aside and just go for 2nd ball and quick transitions

No one is talking about the stingyness and foolishness of Darwin nunez long may he continue to be a substitute..... What a selfish player
I agree i was slapped my head a couple of times . His decision making needs a lot of improvement . But i dont think he is a selfish player cause i have not seen him do that in the last couple of games . Mayb haland vs nunez thing got in his head and to prove everybody he really wanted to score . Anyways lets hope he improves
pep always over -thinking his tactics
Pep seems to over complicate things tbh...
For me Liverpool changed in match they defended deep and didn't press like they usually do.So totally relied on counter attack.
It was like that in the second half . But to be honest city didnt look that dangerous apart from the first 10 to 15 min of the second half .
I think the ref helped !
Pep still fail to win even when Klopp not around
Do arsenal vs leeds it was a good game
Pep overtought it. He should've kept it simple.
Where are the barca vs real madrid analytics
On the barca vs real madris analytics video. Did you expect to find them here?
Maybe it's on its way. I hope so
A masterclass from Jurgen
imo we played better. Could have been a draw
Liverpool had their balls in their mouth for most of the match. Liverpool should thank 2 players. One is Salah for he was exceptional and sharp. Second player is Eric haaland for wasting a goal scoring oppurtunity in the first half by heading straight to Alisson.
Nope he didnât waste his chance âŠ
Incase you donât know .. alisson is the best when it comes to positioning
Thereâs a reason heâs kinky conceded 1 direct free kick from outside the box (Messi) and has the highest 1on 1 safe ratio
He knows how to position himself
Haaland is pronounced as 'Whoreland' in Eton these days?
Liverpool good win
but lost to the chicken cap team, ahhh I can say kolop was just lucky to win pep, the tactic that coincidentally won over pep đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Pep keeps losing to Klopp. Such a sore loser.
Back 3
Very unprofessional from Liverpool.. I play good football, yes Liverpool won but could have won the game with a good margin Sallah is teaching the upfront SELFISH football and Nunes did same. Bro, Darwin is so underwhelming.
Before this match week, we had:
Darwin: 430 minutes played, 4 goals
Gabriel Jesus: 828 minutes played, 5 goals
Jesus has been considered the signing of the season (other than Haaland). Darwin is in a new country (where he doesn't speak the language), new league, and new team. He's 23 years old. I guarantee he will be a top striker in the premier league. Just give him some time.
