What conspiracy is this? Liverpool beat MU. MU beat Barcelona. Barcelona beat Real Madrid. Real Madrid beat Liverpool. Liverpool beat MU. All in the span of 1 month. Do they meant to complement each other?
You just needed one more team involved to have the football equivalent of 'rock-paper-scissors-lizard-Spock' 😂

it's so mesmerizing when we got to see a glimpse of once prime Liverpool 2018-2020. A cunning and flexible team, razor sharp at transitions with rock solid defense.
bro 21/22 too
I think the key is those two center backs. When they have Konate and Van Dijk, Robertson and Trent look so natural in attacking. When the fullbacks play that way, Liverpool is Liverpool.
@@ikhwannfauzi666 It actually can be argued that 21/22 was the real peak of the current iteration of this team. They were legit about 4 goals away from a historic quadruple, something they didn't even come close to doing during their supposed peak. Now, they are in transition, and it will take them about 2 years before they can contend again, but if FSG aren't stingy and spend money on some midfielders, who knows how quick they will be in getting back to that level they had last season.
@@nathanhosea489 at least 3 seasons, not 2. Unlike other big teams, Liverpool is very cautious with everything related to money.

I have always thought that having Firmino drop deep, Mane did it too on occasions, especially in big games, while talked about, maybe wasn't given enough credit for Liverpool's success, having that player that is tactically able to play forward and midfield positions, and do running required to be at the spots required by each position was the secret sauce that made liverpool hum. When I watched Gakpo at the world cup, I was like, we NEED to go get him.
Yeah. Sadio Mane is an elite presser of the ball and has great intelligence to make it work. It's not a coincidence that Liverpool just fell apart after he went away
Ten Hag is a second rate manager he will be exposed as such and will not last….

Salah played as a false 9 on the right flank to drag the defence out towards him while playing gakpo and nunez in. This can be seen from how central nunez and gakpo are in their average positions while salah is much deeper on the right flank compared to his usual positioning in past matches.
This is a game where United needed to park the bus 🚌 early in the game. Immediately after the 1st goal and not press Liverpool high. It is in this sort of games where Pragmatic coach like JM shines.
Totally agree with this. Sometimes you need to go beyond your principles to get results.
JM just have to man marked Mo salah. done.
same happened when man u went to etihad, they opened up despite city scoring first leading to more battering
Nothing wrong with parking the bus.
Man City did the same against arsenal

Lmao I get that ETH has been good for the rest of the season, but marking both CB and letting either RB/LB not man marked is just incredible
I don’t know if it’s false confidence in his team or stupidity, but letting 2 of the best attacking fullbacks run wild is just bizarre, Robertson and TAA literally are Liverpool’s main creative outlet
exactly, united are the literally the first team to not take on trend defence weakness, trent and Robertson were free as f totally Lol, they are Liverpool best thing
@@randomuser78 Trent is not nearly as exposed with Konate at right CB though - that is the difference. Keep Konate fit and we have a good chance of top 4, which given our horrendous January and February would amount to a decent season.
That was the weirdest thing to me, did he not watch the United-LFC games last season. Es the 5-0 at Old Trafford, Luke Shaw was left on his own against Salah-Trent-Keita, United were completely torn apart down that right hand side.
Why would he make that mistake and allow Robbo have so much time and space??
Now that Cancelo is at Bayern, that's the league's most dangerous left back you're letting roam free
I just feel it was overconfidence and the bad form liverpool has been on, He will learn from it same way he learnt from the Manchester city trashing earlier on.
Yeah..he should mark them both and force liverpool to play mid. Probably make a difference
It's kinda poetic that the last 2 huge losses Ten hag received were against Pep and Klopp. Imo, did had to happen in order for Ten Hag to study these matches relentlessly and become the world class manager that he's destined to be.

@@liimohaa2044 Maybe in terms of accolades, but have you seen Utd's transformation tactically? Shaw at CB? Revitalizing Wan Bissaka? Weghorst as a No.10? Getting the best out of Rashford? Gotta give him his props mate.

Last season Liverpool beat man united 0:5 , 4:0; 9:0 on aggregate. They were trying to do the same in one game. It almost came through
This season 8-2
Waiting for this
It's a lesson learnt for ten hag and the new united players. For once Rashford didn't help the team and Bruno regressed to a child at break time.
This analysis somehow exposes the tactic of total football. Great work.

deserve.. In my opinion .. Manchester United should play slow and deeper position in that match. Gakpo and Nunez is super fast and very well in pressing. Manchester United seems lower stamina in that match.
I'll admit I grew up in North America and knew little of any tactics. I could not even judge if he is correct or not. It is interesting how complex these sports can be.
United is really unlucky, but this game also shows Erik Ten Hag has many things to learn from Klopp and other EPL managers. Winning titles for Ajax in Holland is not easy, but coaching in EPL is another level of challenging.
how's united unlucky, they're literally lucky because they've been by winning by a 1 goal margin or almost draw, ain't no way 7-0 is considered as unlucky, Ten Hag was just outclassed by Klopp cuz they underestimated Liverpool.

He's not nearly as enthusiastic in this video as he was when Real pumped Liverpool, I wonder why 🤔😂
I genuinely don't understand what ETH was thinking before the game. LFC's worst nightmare this season has been other teams exploiting TAA's poor defensive positioning, by either attacking the space behind him, beating him in the box or suchlike. Why then use MUFC's best weapon for that as a ST? Rashy got pinned down by VVD playing in the center and none of the attacking players were able to threaten LFC at all basically, whilst letting LFC play to their strengths in both offense and defense? Salah, Nuñez and Gakpo really haven't had their best seasons so far of course, but you can't let LFC exploit the right halfspace like that, with speedy players like Elliott and Salah. Utd basically played reactive defense, putting Shaw in a 2v1, where he got outplayed every time, leaving Licha in a 2v1 or even 3v1 at times because Shaw rarely tracked back after his defensive mistakes.
I'm only at UEFA C level coaching but anyone could understand that gameplan was at fault. Also the lack of changes once he realized the problem is concerning. Swapping Rashy-Bruno-Wout into their regular positions, maybe even bring on Malacia to deal with the problems defensively would've helped. I feel like ETH tried so hard, overthinking every single match-up on the field, that he instead failed in all areas because of it.
This has worked well/smart so I really hope that we use this in our up coming games😭♥️
There has been a lot of talk about United exhaustion, but Liverpool has been playing as many matches. For me Ten Hag suffers with adjustments. He has lost by big margins when his press is properly countered. In the game against Barcelona we saw two managers with fixed ideas of their game, and Barcelona has had trouble against the high press. 7-0 can’t be chalked up to players alone.
How have Liverpool played the same number of matches as united
That is numerically wrong
United have played 5 more matches in the same period
United were still in as many competitions as they could be, Liverpool were out of everything. That's mathematically impossible.
I don't get the exhausted, fatigue excuse. Liverpool played every single match last season and never switched off to this level.
I’m a United fan and it’s not an excuse whatsoever. Gegenpressing involves lots of fitness so the players are constantly training intensely to build stamina. United under OGS got complacent in training and were slacking in terms of fitness, considering OGS never really encouraged pressing, but told his team to sit back and counter attack, as well as make individual plays if necessary. Under Ralf there were so many injuries because he actually employed an intense regimen to build fitness for his pressing tactics, which failed miserably as the players were getting injured left and right due to almost three seasons of “good vibes” hands off training under OGS. Now with ETH the players look like they’re getting there in terms of stamina and fitness, but it’s still a work in progress.
8.5 dude that is a stupid rating kloop earned a perfect 11

Hi - would you consider doing an analysis of Benetiz's 08/09 Liverpool team?
Please upload some of the videos that you have made in PATREON. There there are some AWESOME videos about the Magic of the back 3 and the roles of inverted fullbacks. All I care about is the tactical evolution of football and what is its future
Seems to me the TAA X Salah combination is being replicated on the other side with Robertson X Nunez but TAA is a genuine right back with a very high precision for a long cross.
Earlier in several streams, most Man Utd fans were dissing TAA as weak but that's because many club managers already knew how dangerous it is to leave TAA alone so they always have him in a 2:1 situation. This was what Klopp has to exploit or balance out to thin the opponent midfield, so that Nunez in the early days can pressure mid with Thiago and Fabinho. But now we have Gakpo in the middle, and Nunez at left, they can both pressure and get in deep whether mid or front.
If only Gini was still around, he would be great with Thiago and Fabinho in mid and our midfield weakness would be more forgiving.
Finally an answer, instead of excuses, like fatigue
I think klopp outplayed ten hag.
It was a tactical win but as he said everything Liverpool hit, went in.
Good analysis.
Liverpool made me happy yesterday 😊total thrashing

Kudos to Klopp for this tactical genius against TH. klopp get it right againts united this time. BUT it doesnt mean United in bad form, they will bounce back!!
IF you compared first half, United was more attacking.
The Problem was "Believe" the coach arrangement, I thought there might be some argument between players and coach .
W27 always came back to defense was good, becoming 433.
There are not enough defensive middle 4231.
The main point was that B8 couldn't come back to defense.
How to play 4231 and change to 433.
Wow
Gakpo knows his job to the tip
Firmino,, an amazing player, did so much for us, cant wait to see what Gapko can do. Gapko has more speed and and an atrocious goal scoring abilities. I hoped that Firmino stay, both of them would give the squad much needed depth.

actually Mourinho's words were stupid after all. Even strikers also have many variants, Rashford's type is similar to Eden Hazard, Cristiano Ronaldo, an Inside forward-striker but starts from the flank. That nuthead compared him to Ibrahimovic, one of the best complete forwards of all time. Only idiots use that form of humiliation to degrade a young players' talents. Ten Hag was definitely naive. He should've stuck to similar tactics back at Old Trafford where the team simply played compact counter attacking football.
@@nickraoyj I think that happen because he underestimate liverpool. You can watch it from his press conference before the match. He forget that man utd have defeated history from time to time in anfield, also it's klopp team. You can't underestimate a manager like Klopp
This Liverpool team has deadly attack. I think they should get a CDM like Casemiro that can let Robertson and Trent slack a bit more defensively as they're attacking fullbacks and necessary for Liverpool's attack. They could rip teams apart like this
Exactly, Casemiro made Shaw and Wan Bissaka look world class in the last few months (although both of them indeed upped their game). Imagine how deadly TAA and Robertson can be if they are relieved of their defensive duties upto some degree. I always thought Arnold isn't cut to be a defender, he should be playing similar to where Beckham did.
a CDM like Casemiro? They already have Fabinho remember? This season so far he got a little dull because the whole team have problems, he's just a victim. It's easy to find someone like Casemiro, but finding another single pivot like Fabinho is...like finding gold in mud.

What I see with erik press conference and and many players high in press leaving too much space for rb and lb as you said was the biggest mistake also all this happened because ten hag underestimated liverpool and didn't show respect he deserves it
Bar the few chances United created and they didn't take, I sensed united shambolic play right from kickoff.. You could see how the lads were loosing balls cheaply. It was painful to watch even during first half. It's unlikely of what they've been doing heretofore. I dunno what could be responsible for that.
I was so happy Alex Ferguson witnessed this absolute trashing of Eric Seven Haag 😂😂😂
I wonder what would constitute a 10 score for the manager for you
It wasn't a tactical problem to be honest united were exhausted and mentally out of the game Liverpool were hungry and they want to prove they're back . Liverpool can be as bad as they can but they will never allow themselves to lose to united at Anfield 👏
That's true but ManU in that case should not have tried to press but keep a compact defence... so it was tactically poor from Ten Hag in that case given his players state and Liverpool's form trend.
This. They've basically been playing a game every 3 1/2 days for the two months. They weren't able to match Liverpool's intensity, and after the 2nd goal, it all fell apart due to mental/physical fatigue and just a massive bad day at the office. When the goals scored are more than twice the XG, you know the game is FAR more about tactics.
Excuses excuses liverpool played a 19 year old, henderson who has been rubbish this season anyways and aint even a special player, and fabinho who also played allot of games this season and has been avarage. It was a game of counter attack vs counter attack
Its unbelievable how quickly Gakpo has picked up on the false9. Not yet Firmino level but def a defacto archilles to United in this game. The runs beyween the lines and the connecting play allowed Salah to maraud into the united CB and those late runs by Gakpo were unplayable

Apart from the score the table didn't change. All those goals didn't actually mean anything
Why did Ten Hag even push Rashford into CF, Weghorst into a no.10 role and take Bruno out into the flank? Weghorst and Bruno centrally could've pressed relentlessly, making a release channel for Rashford. It's a tactical disaster from Ten hag, imo. Coz whatever he had planned, backfired last night.
