Do you ever use a spiked roller? They seem to disperse the leveler quite effectively.

Hey, Yeah it really just depends on what I'm doing and what self Leveling I'm using (as some fiber self Leveling you can't use a roller) But like on a big floor you can see here, The roller is great czcams.com/users/shortsRxdCaQwsLNo?si=L5AyZazWCTcCCVv_

Very informative video, good method for levelling the floor, the key to any job is the preparation, worth spending time on this for a great finish. Maybe try a kneeling pad, you must feel it on your knees after a days work, i know i do!

Thanks mate! Tell me about it, ha.. I'm ok in the winter as have the pads in my trousers, But I keep meaning to get a kneeling sponge/pad. Funny enough it's always the grooves in the matting that hurts my knees the most!

Hi I was just wondering what surfaces do you use the uncoupling membrane and do you recommend it on concrete also

Hey, Yeah these days it's either Backerboard or uncoupling on most surfaces, just job dependent. For concrete.. Do any surface levelling or preparation first, Prime it, Then I'd put a membrane down for sure.

Hi do you rate cement hardback board for shower
    Thank you

Hey, It's something that years ago I used to tile on a lot, it has good properties like being sturdy, can take a lot of weight, water resistant e.t c. But these days the ease of foam backerboard has phased the cement board out a bit. So long story short, It's not a bad product, bit of a bitch to work with, and not fully waterproof like foam backerboard. But a lot better than tiling on plaster or plasterboard. Hope that helps a bit.

thanks very much for you reply I think I'll use the light weight stuff now thank you
      one more question if poss
I'm about to start my bathroom and make it a wet room . its a concrete floor and I will have to sink the tray in the concrete.
once the tray is in I'll screed up to the tray. after that will it be ok to tile straight on the screen and tray . or will I need to matt it ?
      thanks again
      sean

@@doctorlove2022 The way I'd advice is.. If you are putting a wet tray in.. Make sure it's a Backerboard type, and you want to make sure you work it out, so it finishes flush with Backerboard on your concrete floor. So I'd put 10/12mm stuck on the concrete floor and work the tray out so it finishes flush with that. If that's not possible.. Yes put a matting on the concrete and try and get the tray to finish at the same hight. Then just finish with some waterproof Tanking across all seams. Hope that helps mate

Haha I know.. I try and just do a squat as much as possible as I hate kneepads. When it's really cold I do treat them with my trouser kneepads though 😂
