Colorectal cancer screenings can be a life saver

  • Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States. It is more common in adults over 50-years old, however it has nearly doubled in younger adults in past two decades. Colorectal cancer screening is recommended starting at age 45; those who have family history should visit with their primary care provider about being screened earlier than 45.
    Tammy Walker Cancer Center Program Outreach Coordinator, Daniel Craig talks about importance of colorectal cancer screenings and how free (FIT) Fecal immunochemical test are available at pharmacies in Salina, Concordia, Abilene and Lindsborg during the month of March.
    Talk to your primary physician about getting a colonoscopy or ask what type of colon cancer screening would be best for you.
