- Bleach Thousand Year Blood War's second cour is airing during the Summer 2023 anime season and it continued to stay strong following Cour 1. Even though Ichigo wasn't really present that often throughout this season, it still managed to be entertaining as we got to see a lot of abilities from characters that we've been anticipating for a long time. I always though that I'd never see Rukia's bankai get animated after waiting for so long and hearing nothing about the anime up until a few years ago and with this season, my prayers have finally been answered. The adaptation of her bankai was INCREDIBLE. Almost 1:1 with the manga, they really cooked with it. It was also really cool seeing Komamura doing the Jinka ritual and his powered up form looked amazing. It was so satisfying seeing Bambietta go down like that. The anime only additions have also been pretty tasteful and Squad 0 are shaping up to not be complete bums, which is a win for us all.

Your problem isnt with the anime. Its with the manga. The anime follows the manga's fight pacing to a T. The original anime, which has a slow drawn out shonen pacing we are all so familiar with, makes the new anime APPEAR to be rushed. Infact, these fast fights are perfect as in reality, battles would be over quickly. Battles lasting three episodes would cause us to have another 200 episode benchmark and tons of composition shots, slow panning angles and shots of characters standing motionless, sighing, huffing, grunting. Massive pauses between dialoge. All for the sake of drawing out a fight at the expense of realism for the scenario.
Again, your problem isnt that the story pacing is too fast, your problem is that the original shonon anime made you too accustomed to money grabbing episode stretching standards where a 3 minute fight somehow takes ten times as long to watch on screen.
I still personally would've liked things to be expanded on a bit, but yes, you're right about the manga being extremely fast during this arc. Thankfully we've been getting a lotta anime only content with Kubo so I'm happy either way

Absolutely true. Bleach tybw is pretty long but there are tons of chapters where it's just fight panels and just a few lines.
Considering we’re only half way through, I’m expecting that the Schutzstaffel and Yhwach will all have much longer fights than the other quincies. I’ve personally liked the fast paced fights so far, but I would love to see more of Squad Zero and the Schutzstaffel than we got from the manga.
Same,the fast paced fights were really necessary,actually almost 1:1 adaptations,which is great cause we're remaining with 2 more cours to go with less than 80 chapters to go,we are definitely getting more content,which is honestly lovely to hear

The fights I feel are paced right but I think in between fights it’s just passed over too quickly, when ichigo was getting his zampukto back that felt like it went over everything so quickly and left so much out. Though I haven’t read the manga so while this might follow it, I feel like it should’ve gotten much more in the anime. Some fights though I agree did deserve a little more time
People in bleach are really strong and they can only take being stabbed sliced blown and cut away so many times before it’s just stupid that the other person is still alive
