I Finally Gave Attack on Titan a Chance

- Attack on Titan was a lot of peoples' introduction to anime and as someone who wasn't riding the hype train for it back in 2013, I was always intrigued by the success of an anime like Attack on Titan. It starkly contrasts the other popular anime that we got back in the day, which were usually battle shonen with a lot of exaggerated and lighthearted characters sprinkled in. Attack on Titan off rip is extremely harsh and brutal and that's what makes it so exciting. Everything feels so doomed but there's a faint dash of hope when it comes to any situation. The ambiance is wonderfully created and makes for an extremely interesting world that I can't really compare to any other manga or anime. The high production value of Attack on Titan's first season also spurred on its population obviously and honestly, I haven't seen these kinda maneuevers in other anime either. It seems like a lotta things are brewing for later seasons and I can't WAIT to find out more.

If you’ve only watched season 1 and have no knowledge of what happens next… just wait. Based on this analysis you understand where the strength of the show is, in its narrative, pacing, characters, themes, not to mention it acknowledges the emotional weight of its plot. I think you’re going to thoroughly enjoy where the story goes from there… it’s so beautiful

I watched it with only a few spoilers and none very big and it was so good
I think the term "Attack on Titan getting milked" is being misused by people who don't know what actual milking looks like.
The only time AoT anime has actually been milked is with those recap movies that came out soon after season 1 had ended.
If AoT had multiple recaps episodes, filler arcs/episodes like in Naruto and One piece I could see the argument.
The final season being delayed multiple times due to production issues/mismanagment has definitely made less money for the higher ups involved in the short term.
Yeah, the messy S4 release was mostly due to the production committee setting unrealistic goals

the problem is that they made the final season wording which was made by wit and mappa couldnt do anything and its not like they are releasing seasons after 2 years like jjk
its literally year after year comprising of normal 12 episodes which wit used to do with s2 ,s3 part1,s3 part2
heck s4 part1 had 16 episodes lol
One the things that makes AoT quite rare is it improves with each season, which is rare for shows. Most peak around season 2 with a noticeable downturn by season 3.

It's crazy tbh. You watch S1 and it's a 10/10 but every subsequent season gets better than the last
People who attack the ending must not have been paying attention to the story along the way because it ended how it should have. No spoilers but you guys should have known it wasn’t going to be what you wanted. This is no puffy cloud happy time. It’s serious stuff.
I thought this was a review for the whole show but it's only 1 season... If you already enjoy season 1 so much you're really in for a good ride. I wish I could see this for the first time again. Eren, Mikasa and Armin annoyed the shit out of me up until season 3 I think so I had to rewatch season 1 and 2 like.. four times oops 😅

The anime fans called otakus got used to anime not getting season 2 or in short incomplete story, and when Anime ended it always happy ending, everlasting peace, Eternal happines, all problem solved. But AoT stays true to it being realistic that portrays our real world problem, and people hated it because it didn't ended the way they wanted it to be. Even if eternal peace is possible because hello this is fiction story, however it's not realistic and you're all freaking know that AoT had a lot of realistic problems, from corrupt governments, nobles always nobles who sucks, etc..
AoT isn't satisying ending unlike Code Geass or FMAB but that's the freaking point of the story AoT.

Don't know how far you are in S2 now but, if you really have no knowledge of what's to come, boy you are in for a ride. S2 and 3 ave some of the most world shattering sequences of episodes in all fiction, and I am by no means overstating it is that good if you follow the plot. I will love to hear your thoughts when you are done with s2. The into of AOT is over, now comes the prologue xD
Watch the show again after you finished. Its even better on 2nd or 3 watch
