Matsui was such a great player and a fan favorite during his tenure with the Yanks. The fact that he was able to grab this game by the balls and cement his legacy is just absolutely legendary.

#55 is definitely one honor worthy. Arod may be a better career player on paper. But id be curious how Stats in the clutch compare... I feel like half of arods homeruns were in games ahead by 4 runs. Or solo hr when down by 6. Matsui was mega clutch.... but nothing in my 30 years has ever compared to the farm squad of Posada. Bernie. Jeter. Paul O'Neil. And last but not least our lord and savior Marino rivera *enter sandman cues*

They are paying me $95 per hour, and the most desirable thing regarding it is the fact that I am not really that tech-savvy, they just asked for basic awareness of internet and simple typing skill...Superb thing about this work is that I have more time for my loved ones. I am able to spend quality time with my relatives and buddies and look after my children and also going on family holiday with them very frequently. November 4th, 2009 I turned 19 and this was the best bday present. A lot of us were so lucky to grow up watching the Core Four, and for each of them this was their last WS win, which definitely makes this one special. The Core Four have 19 WS rings all together, which is incredible. And to top it off not only was this the first year playing in the new Yankee Stadium, but it was also the last time The Boss got to witness his Bronx Bombers once again becoming World Champions before passing away the next year. Go Yanks!

What blows my mind is that Brett Gardner made 65 million despite being league average his career
Damon made about 100 mil despite the same. It’s crazy how much guys made before modern analytics. The 2010’s definitely changed though, Jeter and Damon both got the reality check hard in their contract years.

Ah Ken Rosenthal, the lord of the Shills. Still the good little lapdog for the Commissioner 13 years later. Damon. Career 785 OPS was a “safer bet” than Matsui who was a career 828 OPS. Rosenthal really is a piece of work.

Guess who is the current Phillies manager in 2020?
I think NBC always did better at broadcasting than FOX does- give me Vinny and Joey over Joe and Timmy because listening to FOX is like sitting in a lecture with a boring professor while Vinny and Joey on NBC let the game speak for itself.

    yankees bought the championship.
A MLB record spend in the 2008 off season, and a record payroll in 2009 season.
yankees can’t win the title without having the highest payroll.
