I have a 00 Berlin Black with red seats, carpet and door panel accents. 54k miles with a Kraftwerk supercharger. Tuned for street at 408hp. It's a blast to drive and almost half scary. Very light cars and very powerful engines

If you could do it all over again would you still go with a supercharger or a turbo and why? If you'd go with a SC, would you still go with Kraftwerks? Any issues with the Kraftwerks?

@@statusquoreject I had a 01 NA Silverstone for the my first s2000, that I ended up having a good night with my friends and crashed on my way back home.. I planned on doing basically everything that's done to the one I have now. I've seen multiple s2000 with different setups and kraftwerk seems to give the most power and reliability for the engine. Turbos will always be the fastest but turbos require alot more maintenance and much more expensive to build. Kraftwerk is almost plug and play. Upgrade your fuel system and run 91 and you got a QUICK reliable car. I've ran a 700+hp scatpack with street slicks and nos at a 60-140 and he had to push the button to win and only by half a car.. power to weight is insane

@@justconcentrate9843 thanks for replying bro... man talk about a small world. I also had a Silverstone AP1 and a girl ran into me on the road which caused my S2K to go in a puddle and hydroplane and wrap around a tree. I replaced it with 06 berlina black s2k which blew a head gasket one day. I actually used to be a master tech at Honda and I rebuilt my motor myself with the inttention of going FI but then I ended up buying an AMG C63S so I never actually bought an FI setup and my s2k has just been sitting there with a built motor waiting for me to choose SC or turbo. Been back and forth about which one I want, read all through s2ki, but it's so hard to choose. Turbo numbers sound enticing and I'm not worried about stuff breaking since I do all my own work but then again who wouldn't wan't reliability and less headache and I don't want to totally mangle my s2k since they are raising in value so much. Not to mention that a supercharger has a much more predictable power band and driving characteristics. Thanks for sharing your experience, it helps and I've been leaning to the Kraftwerks direction thanks to all those LHT videos lol.

The first version with the 2.0 liter had a redline of "9000" rpm, with the newer version with the 2.2 liter motor that dropped to 8,000 rpm. Also, let's not forget what happened in 2008 in the USA - which is a huge reason why the S2000 and cars like it saw their end.

Bought a s2000 3 days ago and already drove my first 500km, first car I have ever bought, powerful and funny car, I have the ap1 version without tcs and sc so I'm still a bit scared everytime I think about jumping in (I only have 1 year of driving experience with a car around 70bhp).
I live in Italy so it's hard to make the car approved with performance and visual upgrades, but I will tryhard for it.
Next car in about a couple of years will be a rx7 fd tho :)

S2k with bolt on can be a hit or miss. I say it has a lot to do with the tuners himself. My car made 226whp with just a header, testpipe, and k&n cold air intake. I was also told that for some reason they with make more whp when they are more broken in at 80,000 miles.
