Hi, I am from Vladivostok, my Chinese friend sent me this video that the Russian embassy has posted. The Chinese have always talked about my city as of something they lost to Russia long ago. When the Russians first arrived here, they found no villages nor anything built and only later some Manchurian relics were found here dating back to 14th and 16th century.
Haishenwai was just a simple fishing place that's not even worth to be called a village. It's not until Russia took Haishenwai it would become today's Vladivostok.
