The Coming War on China: • The Coming War on Chin...
Today the Asia-Pacific zone, which produces more than half of the world’s GDP - is at the center of fierce competition between China and the United States as the world’s leading power. And this has been slowly developing into an arm wrestling match.
From Washington and Canberra to Beijing, this documentary will decrypt the geopolitical proceedings and actions implemented in this new powder keg. This is a complex moment between war and peace and a tipping point in World History. The archaic reflexes of the past are still going on for both sides, so what can lead both sides to question themselves?

In the South China Sea and the Pacific, the Chinese Communist Party has been pursuing a strategy to undermine American influence for the past decade.
Relying on the active participation of maritime militias - fishermen trained by the military - China is creating a grey area between war and peace that destabilizes both its neighbors and the world's leading military power.
As soon as he came to power in 2012, Xi Jining
clearly stated his ambition for a national renaissance. He will combine this with the construction of a powerful army and a certain vision of Chinese territory, which includes the reunification of Taiwan. In this quest, control of the oceans has become a crucial issue, and America an obstacle.

China also illegally fishes in almost all parts of the world this is what happens when you have 1.4 billion people. Even there have the mind set grab it while it's there they don't think in terms of preserving. They can't even drink the water that comes out of the water tap. Very soon there will be wars over water we are very very lucky in Canada & the USA. If the world had 3 billion less we would be way better off its when there are to many people for the resources that bad things begin to happen.

The South China Sea claim isn't something dreamt up by CCP though. At its founding ROC (now confined to Taiwan) it already claims the SCS with 11 dash line. That was back in 1911. As its political successor on mainland China it inherits the SCS claim.

But that doesn’t fit the western narrative lol no one in western media knows or acknowledges this fact, that technically democratic US ally Taiwan also claims entirety of South China Sea. Or that Taiwan also technically claims Senkaku islands vs Japan. Or that democratic allies Korea and Japan have dispute over Dokdo islands. Or that US ally Vietnam is not a democracy but also technically a communist country just like China, and claims most of South China Sea as well over claims by few other countries. But these inconvenient facts are brushed aside by media so people get an overly simplified black and white good vs evil narrative of what is actually a very very complex situation in east Asia.

Yes. And none of the claimants against China were sovereign countries then. They were all colonies and the 'owners' of those colonies didn't object to China's claims then, at the end of the world wars when spoils of war were being divvied up and territories claimed back from the losers of the war.

Then USA bought the Philippines from Spain which includes some islands in spratly Then the world war 2 came and the whole southeast asia was under japan. Japan built a submarine base in spratly island. After the war, Japan was forced to sign that he will return all places he controlled but not stated to whom. Then the ROC took advantage after the war and suddenly deploy a submarine to occupy the Japanese base built in spratly which is under by US and Dutch before the war. Then the Dutch leave Vietnam and Indonesia and give its territories including the some island in spratly to Vietnam. China suddenly claim 90% of south china sea after the war. China claim is just totally a word of mouth. A very opportunistic move. They thought who ever say "its mine" after the war will be his. Just a thought, China is a successful powerful force with much deserved credit and recognition. I haven't seen this documentary, yet, but will do so tomorrow. There seems to be a lack of patriotism in America. It might have died out when troops were fighting endless meaningless wars in the Middle East decades after the the futile Vietnam war. America is not taking care of it's citizens. There really isn't anything to fight for or be proud of, and many in this country are disgusted by the way the government constantly feeds tax dollars into the military industrial complex. That's why I think it's very likely that there is a large amount of Americans who favor China.....their infrastructure....their ability to punish billionaires....their mass transit and many things that America is lacking, contribute to the lack of patriotism in this plutocratic oligarchy control of America.

Trust China at your own expense.
It’s kinda ironic that China is getting what it fears the most with Southeast Asian countries welcoming the US military to open bases in their territories. The Philippines started with 9 bases. I blame Bill Clinton, if Monica Lewinsky didn't get on her knees, China wouldn't have known that Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with spoon engines. And on top of that he just came into Harry's and he ordered 3 T66 turbos, with NOS, and a Motec system exhaust.

To be a fair play seen by the world, China should double up its fisherman fleet to go deep into the international sea near Guam and Hawaii, of course, with the guardian of the PLAN.

As far as i know about the standoff US did intervine, they told china and RP to stand down and back off, to de-escalate they guaranteed RP that the chinese would back off too. But once RP backed off and trusted US, they let the chinese build a base there. That's a very trust worthy ally bravo uncle sam! 😂😂

That's why Philippines took EDCA and welcomed the US troops on the 9 bases within the PH. Hopefully there will be more bases that will open up for Japan Navy and other friendly countries

You friend, has China ever invaded any countries in past XXXX history? US was your colony boss and may still be. Japan is 2nd world war criminal in Asia. Have you not learned your history in school? You are welcoming wolves and tigers to your house and if you do, make sure keep it to your own country and but cause other ASEAN country into trouble!!

US interests are very different than the one of the PH. US is just interested in defending Taiwan and closing up their arc around China to prepare for a greater war to feed their military industrial complex led by oligarchs. Nothing good for the PH is coming with that, it´s just a target on your head. Not a smart move letting in the old colonial power who bought you up from the spaniards and massacred your people. You fought a long fight to get rid of the bases just to reopen them again.
