*OLDEST ABELLIO IN TFL* PT 4: Full Journey on Route 278 | Nviro 400 | SN59AWU/AB 9523 | 4th May 2024

Here is part 4 already of the interesting series, it’s nearly coming to its end! I think you can tell it’s an interesting one, as this bus is one of the 7 oldest Abellio/Transport UK buses still running in London/TfL. Thankfully, this bus also runs on a pretty nice route, which was making me wanting to ride this bus even more in the first place, it made it more appealing for me, so it was a win win situation! Moving onto the route/journey experience though, it had its good and not so good parts but overall, it was pretty good if I have to summarise it into one. As the route starts at Ruislip, which is pretty quiet and doesn’t have too many people, and ends at Heathrow Airport Central Bus Station, which can get very busy and congested a lot, it’s usually up and down in terms of busy-ness and crowding, as it didn’t take many people at Ruislip, the start of the journey, but as time passed on, and the route got closer to Heathrow, more people started to crowd the bus, until it got to a point of completely no seats available, and 2 people sitting really close on the opposite side of me, but other people as well surrounding me, it was almost claustrophobic 😂 Anyways, despite all the ups and downs I can see myself giving the experience a positive result for quite a few reasons, but I still wouldn’t say it goes in top 10 favourites/one of my favourites. Moving onto the actual route and what surroundings you can see around you throughout the route, it’s not too bad, and goes on fast roads sometimes, which is a nice touch to make the route more interesting and let the bus reach its full potential on speed and engine work! Talking about the driver, he was fast enough in my opinion and there was nothing to really criticise him about overall. I do recommend trying this route - preferably with this bus, but it’s still a nice route if it doesn’t get too many people.
