    You do better than anyone that ever taught me a school. I don’t even own a Kawi but your tutorials are great and always worth a watch. Knowledge is KING!

      I keep thinking I should get a new Yamaha 1.9 SVHO when they come out so I can do tutorials on those as well

      @@JDsWaterWorld if you can afford the new 1.9 SVHO I’m sure it would be worth while to do.
      I’m keen to see that Kawi hit 500plus hours and what it takes to get it there.
      I do a heap of hours on my skis that’s why I just go for the 1.8 HO engines for the last 8 years so simple and easy to maintain.

    Good job troubleshooting bro, it's important to have the service manual.

      @@JDsWaterWorld I hope the warranty covers this. 1K for a new TB!? This sucks man, not that many hours to be having this issue! You have some serious mechanical skills JD! Thanks for posting!

      I have extended warranty exactly for reasons like this..I am going to dissect my old one and see if there’s a way to adjust/ repair it. There are hall sensor magnets inside that can break..this same TB is used on many Japanese cars

    I looked and so far can not locate any new throttle bodies available for sale.

    Is the TPS adjustable? Sort of like the old Ford ones as they had a range you could turn it by loosening the screws.

    • @JDsWaterWorld
      @JDsWaterWorld  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Unfortunately, no. There is one bottom-end adjustment screw on this TB but it is not even used on the jet ski application- there is a plastic collar on the throttle plate shaft with a built in stop..this unit is not adjustable sadly

    When i am in the FPM, when I full squeeze the throttle, their 1-2 second delay, normal?

      I am using the Kspeed ECU.

    • @JDsWaterWorld
      @JDsWaterWorld  Před 2 měsíci +1

      That is not normal…it should respond instantaneously when you hit the throttle. Only because I just had an issue with mine- check your throttle body and TPS…if you are 2022+ you should check KSRD trigger as well

    That's crazy. I have the exact same issue. I changed everything including my fuel pump and I'm about to go lake test it
    I do have a 2015 310 do you know if the test procedures are the same? I don't think I have the manual.

    • @JDsWaterWorld
      @JDsWaterWorld  Před 2 měsíci +1

      It’s a different test procedure because it’s a different ECU and yours also has a cable throttle with intermediate throttle position switch…but the throttle body is the same.

    • @dennisivakhov
      @dennisivakhov Před 2 měsíci

      @@JDsWaterWorld yeah it's like a cable throttle that goes into a wire with the spring
      Is that what you're talking about?
      I turned on my ignition, and I pressed on the accelerating lever it was opening and closing the throttle normal it seemed like

      You need to check the input and output voltage of the TPS just because it *looks* like it’s opening means nothing- you must do the test. Email me and I’ll send you copy of the service manual for your ski

    Kawasaki electronics probably aren't as good as Yamaha. I say this as a Kawasaki fan. A TPS should not be failing on a 2 year old ski. My first ride of the year should be this weekend

      This is actually made by Mikuni, if anything they are to blame…it seems that post covid Mikuni switched production from Japan to China…
