    Hi, Jisa.
    In this case it is acrylics, the non-expensive kind that I bought for my kids to use, so I'm not 100% sure of achival quality, but I have made up some bubble paints using more expensive paints since then and am much more reassured. The paper is illustration board, probably bainbridge 80 with a little texture, but not much.

    I've seen quite a few of these done with tempura paints, but I much prefer the strength of color you get with the acrylic, here. Makes it an outside activity with clothes we don't care about, and much more fun anyway! :)
