  • The rubber had perished on the track rod ends of my 2001 VW Golf MK4 so when I was changing the lower arms I decided it was worth changing the track rod ends as I would need to be getting tracking done anyway.
    You'll need a 13mm, 19mm and 22mm spanner for this job as well as a 5mm/6mm allen key. I also needed an angle grinder to remove the nut on the old track rod end that had seized.

    Hi how do you get off a rusted on bolt? It's the one where you used the 22mm

    Nice. I was wondering do you need to raise both side of the car? If I need to change only the left front tie rod. Thanks
