Health Miracle, we all need Leechs and spiced wine. I mean, who wouldn't want to be like Roose Bolton loving husband, father, and health nut
I remember he fought beside Robert at the trident, and advised he executed barristan selmy when they found him wounded ( with 12 enemies he had killed about him ) .he would have been 18 or 19 at the time. ( in the vanguard)
Loving all the Roose Bolton videos coming out of different channels lately. He’s one of the best villains in the books, as well of one my top favorites, and was kind of underutilized in the later seasons of the show in favor of Ramsay. Glad to see he is getting more content.
Me too one of my favorite villain in the books
What other channels are you speaking about?
@@bennett420316 Fantasy Haven recently released a video about House Bolton.
@@bennett420316 Video Books has been putting out Roose Bolton shorts lately, and Fantasy Haven has a full on video explaining House Bolton and Roose. And now there is this video by whycreate.
@@bennett420316maybe fantasy haven. smaller channel but makes amazing vids
His son Domeric deserved better😢😢😢😢😢
Not rly. All the Boltons have been pretty messed up. Roose used to rape random girls and kill their husbands after if they said anything. That's how Ramsey was born. Doubtful the child would have been much better. Also, if the theory is correct, in the books, Roose is hundreds of years old, and is just grooming new bodies to take over.
Probably would have grown up to be a freak like his dad and brother
@@bloodandempire possible but he seemed to a nice boy from what his aunt described. He visited Ramsey at least twice before he was poisoned from what I remember.
With a father like Roose Bolton perhaps it was mercy.
@@bloodandempireidk about that. Had he not been murdered by Ramsay, he probably would've been apart of King Robb's Kingsguard, cementing Roose to the cause due to his son's just nature. Now if he ended up being one of the heirs who Jamie cut down during the Battle in the Whispering Woods, I could see Roose using that as an excuse to turn his cloak.
I Don't remember the Khezu in the books, but it does check out that Ramsey is a spineless bow main.
I saw it yesterday and thought this was a Monster Hunter video xD then I realized.
Roose is my favorite character in the books, he really stands out every moment he appears
2:24 It is possible that since George takes inspiration from real historical figures, Roose might have been inspired by Vlad Dracula Tepes, Prince of Wallachia, no need to explain what other character that guy inspired, which can be why there's a theory of vampires in asoiaf. While I doubt Roose is an actual vampire, he may still be this world's version of Dracula.
O! And an overly paranoid king.
In my family we say a naked man has few secrets a flayed man has none.
Roose is def my favorite villain, he's creepy and cold and logical, and the image of Roose Bolton with his Red Flayed Man Armor slicing people up in the Trident is such a cool visual
You know who else has "bad" blood? Craster.
Roose is the scariest guy in the series to my way of thinking. It's like we KNOW he had something to do directly with Domeric's and Robb's deaths. But he also seems to have let them decide that fate-he made them both aware of exactly what was going to happen. they were going to die. I'm left with the impression that he's SUPER DANGEROUS but also not, in some horrible way. Like how Mirri Maz Dur is dangerous in that if Drogo had just listened to her care instructions, he would have lived and those eggs would still be stones. But she set it up so that she could almost make sure he didn't listen to her. Just because, mneh...it's their choice now blahblahblah. I feel like Roose is somehow messing with events by trying to guarantee the outcomes while also leaving the impression of "choices." Or perhaps he wants to leave the impression that anything else could have ever happened once he became involved, personally.
He characterises leeches. He is a disgusting bottom feeding thing masquerading as a nessecity. Manipulating people and gorging on the outcomes
Reading ADWD, I'm weirdly rooting for the boltons. They make such great villains, and I love their presence
Nah I want Stannis to sacrifice the Boltons to the Old Gods.
Yes i hope the house doesn't go extinct
Ayo ur rooting for a house who forces girls to have sex with their dogs
Bolton will lose the Battle of Ice but I hope there's at least a chance Roose'll hold Winterfell against Stannis. And Bolt-On should be true. Roose is too original and distinct of a character to be a completely normal human being.
Cause nothing says pinnacle of healthy living quite like leech induced anemia
Miss your voice and narration. Hope you are healthy, happy, prosperous. Thanks for all you do. I always try to listen to your Watchmen series.
8:32 even he understands the monster Ramsay is. Cant wait both of the to meet their fates in the books
The random Khezu in the thumbnail brought me here wassup!
It would definitely be interesting if it turned out that he's actually a vampire
I never understand why Rod Trusts Ross, the Karstark, Mandelys or bear isle seems less dangours to command the second army . Keep your friends close but rivals even close. Have the Boltons be a torture say
I wonder way Roose didn’t just up and kill Ramsey after they made it to Barrowtown or after the wedding to the fake Arya. He’d served his purpose by then, and a great lord killing their kids isn’t heard of. Sons kill fathers for elevation multiple times throughout the books.
He seems to really believe in the whole “kinslayers are cursed” thing
@@Jdjdjdujakzgsha true, he proabaly wanted him gone so that he can attempt a new family with Walda but he wasn't lucky enough to have a moment like Tywin had to have his son executed legally.
He was offered weight in silver. Not gold.
THE LEECH LORD❤❤❤
I wish roose had a lamprey pond, maybe heated by steam vents. It would fit his personal so well and give his creepy flesh vibe even more intense. Like he keeps the skin, and gives the flesh to the lake monster….the drowned god isn’t a kraken, it is a gestalt of lamprey. That’d be pretty creepy. It would make roose a sort of priest, making offerings.
Great video as usual
House Bolton: I'm sick and tired of your skin-changing magic Stark. Starts to flay the magic skin-changing Stark.
Bolton is an absolute menace.
Love this channel! I wonder what part of the world he’s from where the dialect doesn’t pronounce “t” when it’s at the end of words.
There's that millionaire dad who's getting blood transfusions from his son too live longer, he's Roose, but in reverse
David Lightbringer recently made a lot of videos about parallels between some characters and the Others among them Roose: these ice blue eyes, palish skin and this particular relation with the Stark the Others have with...main ennemy of Stannis (a representation of Azor Ahai). Even Ramsey's story do a perfect link, born from a rape like Craster, a "Snow" like the sacrifices made through the century by the Kings of the North to the Others...Right now, everything in Winterfel is ready to explode: the Bolton defiance, the treason of Manderly, the evasion of Theon and Jeyne, the trap ingeneered by Stannis... Winds of Winter will be very interesting
Thanks!
Very Kind. Thank ya Thank ya
That billionaire guy that wants to live forever reminds me of Roose Bolton.
Props for using Khezu in the cover picture
Roose was going to throw baby Ramsey down a well if the babe didn’t have his eyes. The funny thing is Rooses eye condition only passes through the mother line. So the millers wife probably just found a baby with a similar condition and passed him for Rooses child.
I couldn’t have said it better myself when you said “He’s a mix of Tywin and Ramsay”. I think I want him to win the battle between him and Stannis. He’s not an idiot he’s a manipulator and possibly a worse monster than Ramsay if George gives him more attention in the next book. I REALLY hope he’s not just beaten and killed in the next battle because what a damn waste that would be. He’s my favorite antagonist in the series because of his mystery and I only hope he gets worse. (or better in reference to how he’s written haha)
*This is a game to him, mildly diverting. Some men hunt, some hawk, some tumble dice. Roose plays with men. You and me, these Freys, Lord Manderly, his plump new wife, even his bastard, we are but his playthings.*
With how its set up so far though, it seems like roose won't be able to hold on to his power because almost all the northern lords under his command hate him for the red wedding and are making plans to betray him
He has all the common traits of a vampire villain but perfected to the T by Georges.
What was roose first wife name and what was domeric personality
I like how you used khezu from monster hunter in the thumbnail.
Looking forward to the battle of ice in twow
CivEx!!!!!
Do tell the Bolton theory! The best non canon story.
....... that is a Khezu
*the weight of Fat Walda was payed in silver not gold
Just so that’s what I thot too and jus commented lol
flayed man it's definitely some sort of anti-skinned Walker, magic thing, from the age of Heroes
khezu jumpscare
7:43 I thought it was silver 🤔
Ramsey is cruel from feeling inferior Roose is cruel out of tradition and his sense of superiority.
👍🏾👌🏾
Tywin is evil?
Depends on what you define as evil, I feel like the way hes treated Tyrion is pretty evil.
What he did to Tysha and Tyrion was pretty bad
Plus all the babies he's ordered be killed etc etc.
Reigns of Castsamere was undoubtedly evil and heavy handed. As was the sacking of King's Landing.
Huge difference between Bolton and Tywin being that although Tywin was present to watch both terrible things unfold under his command, I don't think he particularly enjoyed it like a Bolton would. Tywin seems even more detached, logical and cold about his goals.
Depends on what kind of monster terrifies you more I suppose.
He order the wife of Tyrion to be gangraped by his soldiers and then forced Tyrion to have sex with her afterwards.
Tywin has a huge kill count, to be sure, but there is a total difference. Just look at the difference between the "fatherly" advice each man offers to their sons. Roose is telling Ramsey how to hunt humans, where to hunt them, how to wear them and do it all to his heart's content. Tywin is telling Jaime how to openly strike fear into people and confuse them into thinkng it is the same as respect. Who knows? I might be reading it wrong, but it feels like Tywin is cool with being somewhat open {as long as he also controls the narrative} and feels justified, etc. Whatever Roose is, it's not that.
Roose Bolton = Elizabeth Bathory
Where is the WEDDING JUSTICE ⚖️♎ENDING With #Arya🍷and The #Fraey Banquet
bro is desperate for content
True these CZcamsrs are running out of content they have already gone through the books character's and geographical locations if Martin doesn't pull something out of his ass now these guy's will go bankrupt
I know i shouldnt say it but Roose Bolton is one of my favorite book characters the man gas zero fucks to give and makes lord Tywin look like a schoolgirl if it wasn't for Ramsey He would of been a excellent lord
