1999 Silverado Horn Replacement

This is not a good instruction video on how to replace the horn on a 1999 Silverado. It is an “after thought” I had after I went through a big ordeal on replacing the horn in my 1999 Silverado. I decided to post here to make it a simple job for someone else. The part to make it simple is to leave the old horn in place. Do not attempt to remove and put the replacement horn back in that same location. Locate the replacement horn in an easy place to get to. You can pick the location. I choose the center location under the grill. If I ever need to replace the horn again I can do it in a matter of minutes ----not a full day!

Great info Larry. I removed my drivers side headlight assembly by removing those two vertical rods. I clipped the wires to the horn connector after removing the connector. I extended the wires 6 inches. I ended up setting the new horn on the old one. I didn't see a good place to mount it. I left the old one in as you noted.

I just saw another video. The headlight comes out easily. It has 2 rods that release on the driver's side.
