    Thank you, sir, for creating this video. I watched it several months ago when I know I needed to repair my horn, but thought it too complicated for me being that I consider myself non-mechanical. I did it, though. Thanks again. January 7, 2019.

    Instead of just putting it behind the grill where you can reach under the bumper to get to it they make it where you gotta take 1/2 of the front clip of to get to it. Engineering degree needed.

      They basically hung the horn by a string from the ceiling and then built the truck around it... lololol

    Removing the rusted bolts alone is an adventure! Cut the wires from the stupid rusted horns and add new horns in an auto-friendly approachable location. This is what happen when the GM engineers try to reinvent the wheel.

      How do you know is was 5 inches of rain? Did you get out and measure it? Lol. Just a joke. I'm sure you eyeballed it much like I did accept I then went through about 10" of flooded road and at 40 mph. Water shot up taller than the truck and my Truck has a 3 inch lift. Didn't notice till days later because who thinks to test the horn if you don't need it. I Did notice a difference when locking the doors with the remote, the horn sound muffled and faint.

      Now I get it. I went through some flood waters at around 40 mph couple of days later my horn is high pitch and weird sounding. I ordered a new horn on Amazon but I'm stalling because of all the labor to change the stupid horn. Since you just let me know there's 2 horns, now it makes since. My low tone horn must have gone out and the High tone is still working. I was almost gonna replace the weird high tone sounding horn thinking it was a single horn and bad but I know now to replace the other horn since it's the one making no sound at all. đŸ‘đŸŸđŸ‘đŸŸ

      just put some male connectors on the two wires and connect them. horns don’t usually have polarity so it shouldn’t matter whether the wire is hot or ground.

  • @compound00
    @compound00 Pƙed rokem

    So in other words. Take the 3/4 of the front end off just to reach a stupid Horn. How Genius of them. A 10 yo old could've designed this better. I would've bet it all that this thing was behind the front Grille and reachable without removing the Grille. I see now I would've lost it all messing with GM. Not that I can't do it, I feel like why should I even have too spend my Sunday tearing apart the front end to replace a horn? So for now, the top cover and clips go back on and I'll save this job for a day when it's not cold and I've had time to forgive GM for this idiotic decision on the horns location. Good day truck owners.
