Well it wasn't really 4000 pieces, because I didn't mix the bags. But the next one, the 5k is one bag only, and trust me, I'm scared of it! 😅🙈
My province (Alberta, Canada) is so beautiful... Spirit Island is about 50 km from Jasper which is 388 km from my town of Calmar. So a bit of a commute... but so proud to see Alberta, Canada make its way to Slovenia. Congrats on finishing your 4000 pc puzzle.
I have never been to Canada, but my dad had an uncle living there, so I've seen pictures, from when they went to visit! It is gorgeous! 🤩 Very big country though! If I drive for 100km in almost any direction from the capital, I'll end up in a different country 😅 I'm very happy to hear, that it made you feel proud, to see your country being represented! 🥰 Thank you! 🤗

Ta da!!! The finished puzzle looks amazing! I like the strategy of working from the top down on a puzzle to eliminate reaching - it wouldn’t have occurred to me to try that. Good luck with the 5000 - you’ve got this!
Oh yes! This is the best technique ever, but only works if the top is easier I guess 😅🤷🏻♀️ But I was really proud of myself, when I thought to divide the puzzle and then just pull the top section down - that is useful when the top is more difficult than the bottom 😁👌🏻 Thank you! 🤗

you know, you probably are choosing the most difficult puzzles for the higher counts 🙂im doing ravensburger 5000 space and it is good as it has lots of different objects and textures. Im too covardly for such hard puzzle. Hats off to you 🙂
You are probably right 😅 To be fair, I didn't choose my 5k puzzle - my dad had that idea that it would be a fun puzzle 🤣 But I think I had reached my limit and will only do the easier puzzles from now on 🙈

Good luck! I never thought I would be a biggish puzzle person but have fallen in love with some 2k piece count images and then I have 2 3k ones that were on a good sale...and a couple more I have found thrifting for insanely low prices (I think one was 2.24usd and it is still sealed and another was 2.50usd opened but put away in plastic bags so I am optimistic). Anyway, that's not the scariest part...the scariest part is that someone on my fb marketplace listed the disney 40320 piece puzzle (10 bags x 4032 pieces) for $100usd (currently $700usd on amazon). It is a puzzle I never thought I could get because I couldn't justify the cost, but for that price, I had to have it. Opened box but all of the puzzles were still sealed inside. Have I mentioned that I have only done one 1500 piece puzzle that was a window collage and therefore easy? I better get a move on with trying out these larger puzzles in my stash or I will never open the 40k one. Don't judge! 😅
Can't wait to see the 5k come together...it looks...uh...ridiculously challenging, haha.

I wanted that 40k Disney one as well and I almost got it last year at the competition, but I couldn't bring it home!! 😬 I'm driving to Spain this year, so I'm making space for it in my car! 😂 I don't blame you for buying it! It's a bargain, and even if you never open it, I'm sure you can resale it, without losing any money! 😉 And also something to keep in mind - those Disney puzzles are designed to be easy, so don't be scared of the number. The principle of puzzling is the exact same as with the 1500 piece puzzle, just the searching process is longer! I'm sure you'll do just fine! 😁👌🏻

I'm glad you like the Castorland quality, I like the smaller working with the smaller pieces. And I bought the Beko sorting trays after I saw them on your videos, love them too!!
I really liked the quality yes! 🤩 I prefer the smaller size too, because it's basically unnoticeable, but makes such a difference with the end size of the puzzle! 😁👌🏻 That's great!! I love these sorting trays!! I'm glad you like them too! 🤗

Wow, great job Janette. Have you thought about trying a larger count puzzle that is different from a landscape scene? You could probably do whole comparison video about it. You will finish the 5K beast puzzle, you will get there🥰🧩

CONGRATS, I recently hit 1,000 subs. I had a 4,000 from that brand but sold it because my table only fit 2,000 pieces. I thought since it was only 4,000, it would be 1 bag.

I've got two 3000-piece puzzles that were both gifts I received back in the 1980s. I haven't assembled them since then, mostly because of space, but now I think I should try them again.
Maybe it would be time to open them up again! 😊 With good sorting, you should be able to assemble it even if you don't have a table big enough. Just work through it in sections 😁

Thank you! 🤗 I loved working on this Castorland puzzle! The pieces had a good fit, it definitely wasn't crumbly, but it also wasn't too tight. I managed to do a pickup challenge with it, so it holds together quite nicely. And the gloss was very minor - I think like with the majority of the puzzles. It wasn't completely matte, but it wasn't shiny either. I hope this helps 😅

Happy 4k Janette! This puzzle is a wonderful image and a challenge from the looks of it due to the things you have mentioned already. I wish I had room for puzzles that were 4,000 and up; as I'd definitely grab this one if that was the case. The 5,000 puzzle you've picked out looks tricky and I'm looking forward to seeing the journey of how you tackle it.
Thank you! 🤗 It is a wonderful image, but I don't think it's too much of a challenge, if you do it in separate bags. If you don't have the space for larger puzzles, I would advise you to try Castorland - the content of one bag was smaller than an average 1000 piece puzzle, so you would be able to puzzle normally, and then you just need some place to put the finished puzzle together, which could be on the floor or even outside. They even do 2000 piece puzzles in 2 bags 😉

Congrats on 4k subscribers! It is interesting that the puzzle came with three bags of pieces. I'm working on a 4k Educa that just had one big bag. I'm sure it is easier with it split into sections. Good luck with the 5k when you get to it!

They even do 2k puzzle in two separate bags, and their pieces are smaller 🤩👌🏻 It definitely is easier, because you don't need that much sorting and searching for the right pieces 😊 And thank you! I have just finished this puzzle also and it's interesting because for me the most difficult part of the puzzle was the sky. But I should also point out that in the beginning I mixed all the bags and basically it felt like the sky was the largest area after sorting. This puzzle was the bigest challenge for me so far😀but it looks great and I am planning to hang it on the wall. Thanks for your videos
First of all, I have to applaud you, for mixing the bags! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 This takes a lot of courage, and I didn't have it in me, to do the same. 😅 So yes, I can definitely understand, that you had experienced this puzzle differently, than I have! 😁 But just to say, on the middle section, I spent over 2 hours on the sky, which was less than 1/3 of the puzzle and I finished the section in 6 hours (without sorting). And I have to admit, that I did struggle with the sky a bit, so I can't even imagine, doing all three sky sections together 😬 It really does look good! And it will look great on the wall! Well done again! 🤩👏🏻
Even though it's not about courage😄,still thank you. I decided to mix it because I was ready to do it for a long time. For me puzzling its like a meditation, I like to spend an hour near the table and then go back to my other business, sometimes with new ideas. I think l've spent two month to finish it😂

That castorland brand of puzzles, Is that a common brand in your country? I’ve been looking at so many castorland puzzles that I can’t seem to find easily.
Thank you! 🤗 Castorland is not common in my country - I haven't seen it on any of the shops, but I think they're easily available to buy online, as we are all in the EU 😁 I think I've seen them on German Amazon as well. If you're in the US or the UK, then I understand, that you might have problems getting their puzzles 😬
@@janetteandherpuzzles yeah, I’m a collector of a brand that did a collab with castorland and I have a German and French vinted account to look for them but they never pop up, would I have to check German Amazon then for them? The brand is no longer making products so I don’t know if the puzzles are widely available anymore

Congratulations on getting to 4K subscribers. 👍 Good to see that you enjoyed doing it despite all that greenery. For me the image is not one that I would even think about doing, too much green stuff! The size is also a no-no as I don't have the space to do puzzles that size. All of us do puzzles where the images appeal and the piece count suits us. Just recently completed the Lupins puzzle just to see how long it would take me. Not an image that I would normally pick but I had a go. Took me just over 5 hours to do, the top half in 2 hours and the bottom in 3 hours. I wouldn't be surprised if, when you do the 5K puzzle, a great deal of shape sorting will take place as well as colour sorting. 🧩Look forward to your next video.

I think shape sorting will be done from the beginning, with that 5k puzzle - I don't really have much colour to sort 🤣
