- As part of every new year, there comes a video, with an updated puzzle collection, that I currently own! 😁 My plan is to keep my collection small enough, to not breach the wardrobe, and so far, I have not been successful with that! 😂🙈
There are a few more puzzles in my collection, but I didn't mention them, as I didn't have them on hand, so in total, as of today, I have 106 puzzles! 😅 A bit too much, because I'm trying to make my collection fit, into my designated wardrobe!

I just went and counted mine there and I have 68 in total - some of those also include 2 or 3 puzzles in one box so I’d say it’s closer to 90!
I really need to have a clear out of the ones that I’ll never do again - see if I can swap them or just give them to charity.
Then with the empty space I can go and buy more puzzles! 😂
Thank you! 🤗 You have a great collection! 🤩 And yes, with a number as high as yours, it is worth swapping the puzzles, or even giving them away to make a space for new ones. I saw with myself, once I went past 50 puzzles, I stopped redoing puzzles at all - so since then, everything that is finished, is swapped, gifted or sold 😊
Puzzles should bring you joy; so no need to explain a puzzle away !!!

The Wasgij and Jan van Haasteren are super popular here in the Netherlands (probably because Jumbo is Dutch). The Mystery ones are by far the easiest of the Wasgij ones! And the Van Haasteren ones are actually quite easy, because you can look everything up on the box. Fun fact: our only Dutch speed puzzling competition is JUST van Haasteren puzzles, and only teams. Which makes them harder because everyone wants to hog the box 😅
I didn't know Jumbo is Dutch! They have great sense for puzzles!! 🤩 I have only done the Destiny one, and it wasn't easy - it was so much fun though!! 😁👌🏻 Oh I image everyone trying to have a look at the box haha must be crazy! 😂😅 They should give you printouts to go with the puzzle! 🤪
I've done a few larger Lego star wars kits in the past. They aren't difficult really as long as you follow the instructions step by step, carefully and slowly. It can be very easy to miss the assembly of a small but important piece if you go to quickly, then you have to back track when something doesn't fit further down the line!
I'm sure you are probably already aware but lego doesn't have any written instructions just pictures but it works really well. 😊

I will be very careful, not to miss any instructions! 😅 Oh no, I wasn't aware! 😂🙈 But by the way you described it, it seems that the instructions should be fairly easy to follow, as long as you take your time to check all details - especially the smallest ones! 🤩👌🏻

I recently did the Wasgij #17 as my first puzzle from that type and it was really fun! The colors are so bright and well defined that it was much easier than what I expected :)

Oooooooh, so many great puzzles! Love all the Ravensburgers, especially those large count ones. I hope we get to see you do those! I am sure you will love the BlueKazoo puzzles. I've done several and they are fabulous!

What a great collection! I have a few Blue Kazoo puzzles and the boxes look so good on display. So far, I've only done the 250 piece Sun, just to try them out and I loved the quality. I'm working up the nerve to do the 1,000 piece Moon one day.
Oh, and I think the answer to "Should I do a video on...(x)?" is almost always "Yes!" 😊

I have all the planets (so far) from Blue Kazoo + 3 older from space collection. Premium price, which they can justify. Sadly the Freight & Custom Fee are as expensive as the jigsaw puzzles themselves. The piece cut I really enjoy. Looking forward to your feedback & vids. I really like that you sorted it by countries, and the fact you're so strict with what can stay.

I can't wait to get my "to-do" pile to that count, I have almost 420 puzzles. And no room, I love some of yours. I know the US can get lots of puzzles, but you get some that we cannot get or get easily.
Ok, I feel better. Just counted my collection the other day and it was 91. I kind of want to get it to a nice round 100, but I should probably try to get it down to a nice round 50. Decisions! Decisions! 🙂
OMG that's a lot of puzzles!! 🤯 I would have to clear out all my clothes, to be able to fit that many puzzles in my flat 😅 And yes, I have noticed, that as much as I can't get many brands that are very popular in the US, you also have a similar issue, with some of the European brand - I think Schmidt in particular, if I'm not mistaken. Makes it that much better, when you find a rare gem though! 🤩
I see what you mean with a round 100 - it's a great number, but you have to consider how much space it is taking up, and also if it is putting pressure on you, to puzzle more. I'm on about a hundred now, and I'm trying to bring it down, to about 70-80 I think - then I could always fit all of my puzzles into my 'puzzle designated' closed, and would also have less pressure of the amount of my to-do puzzles 😅
I’m in the middle of doing the 9000 Disney trefl puzzle and it is so much fun! Pieces are small but I got used to it pretty quickly

I Just did the Moana puzzle and it was so much fun I have a lot more of this collection on my to do pile 😃 and I Just came from Müller and bought my First wasgij Puzzle nr 25 I'm really excited but I Hope its Not that hard I normally don't Like Puzzles with that much going on 😅
Oh I bet it was! I love that puzzle! 😍 I normally get puzzles from Müller as well! They have nice variety! 😁👌🏻 I haven't seen number 25 anywhere in the shops in Slovenia, but it looks SO MUCH FUN!!! 🤩 I'm sure you're gonna love it! I know it's a busy puzzle, but nothing compared to Jan Van Haasteren. I solved mine without referring to the picture, which I think would be almost impossible with JVH - or it would drive me insane 😅 And Mystery ones are the easiest out of the lot! Enjoy! 😉
I just finished Vintage London from Clementoni. It took me 8 days, it was really tricky.
Ok, I can totally understand that! It's all mostly one colour, so yeah... Doesn't look the easiest! 😅😬
If you are missing a puzzle piece maybe you could contact the company. Some puzzle brands send replacement pieces. It's a beautiful puzzle so it would be a shame if it was incomplete ❤
I would do that, if I knew it wasn't my fault. I would just feel bad, to make them go through all the troubles and costs, because I wasn't careful enough 😅 If it was the companies fault, then yes, I would definitely contact them! 😂
Janet, I hate to burst your bubble regarding BK's Meridian. I, too, was SUPER excited...until I put it together:
-Newly designed box image does not match the size of the finished puzzle.
-Box image and poster are much brighter than the actual puzzle that is too dark.
-Very crumbly
-Paper backing peeled away in several pieces.
-Many false fits, which also didn't help but peel the paper backing, so good luck with the Mandala one!
I was sooo disappointed that I gave it away.
WASGIJ? Safari Surprise, number 31 is the BEST one regarding image change. Not only that... there's a surprise in the puzzle image that I didn't notice once put together until the next day!
Oh no! That's so sad to hear! 😕 I haven't done them yet, so I can't say how it's gonna be, but I'm really hoping that they're not all that bad! I have heard with some brands - such as Trefl and Laurence King - that the quality depends on where they're being produced 🤷🏻♀️

I am not sure if they are available to get where you live but Cobble Hill are a great brand from Canada that you could add to your puzzles from around the world!
I can't get Cobble Hill here, but when I did a puzzle exchange countdown puzzle, the girl who was with me, had sent me a puzzle from Cobble Hill! 🤩 So I got to try the quality and I loved it! 😁👌🏻

@@janetteandherpuzzles the piece quality and cube aren't brilliant, but certainly not the worst (6/10). I had a few false fits, but I liked the design, and enjoyed doing it.
So many awesome puzzles, so little time to watch them all but I made it. I watched the whole video, just because I love your content. I did the White Mountain puzzle "Movies", you are going to like it, it is fun, fun!, I did the puzzle with my husband and younger son Ethan. I am glad that it is not hard for you to let go of the puzzles from the competition and you can find new "homes" for them. I donate mine to local libraries and back to charity shops. I gift some unopened ones for birthday presents. The Red Dawn puzzle is beautiful and if you want to frame it, you are probably going to have to customed frame it at an arts and crafts local shop. I think you should, if you really really love it. When you brought out the famous 5K puzzle I was like, Janette is going to say, and the title of this puzzle is, Why dad why? 🤣The Blue Kazoo ones are beautiful and I hope you have fun putting them together, very unique images indeed. I gave quite a few puzzles away already, but it then got me thinking, that I'm spending so much money on them, that I might as well try to get something little back, and try to pay for Spain from it, or at least some of the trip 😁
I would frame it, but I have nowhere to put it. And I don't want it to go to waste, so I'd rather give it to someone, then keep it assembled under the bed 😂
