  • This video features a collection of Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) and Queensland Police Service (QPS) vehicles responding since June 2020. Only a portion of the best responses have been included in this video, which consist of 12 QAS responses and 10 QPS responses.
    Most of these videos have already been uploaded to this channel at some point, but I figured I'd upload them all in one heap so it's easier to find the non-dominant video uploads, being QAS and QPS vehicles.

    Hi friend, whats that little green light on the bumper for? ive always wondered! thanks for the cool complation!

    • @seqemergencyvehicles
      @seqemergencyvehicles  Před rokem

      Hello, the green light in the bumper indicates the emergency lights are activated and automatically prevents ambulances from getting fined from speeding and red light cameras. So pretty much a camera operator would see the green light and know that ambulance is responding to an emergency.

    • @seqemergencyvehicles
      @seqemergencyvehicles  Před 3 lety +2

      Steven Lanfranco, just a light that turns on to show speed & red light cameras that the vehicle is responding to an emergency to avoid the fines.

    And very nice looking emergency vehicles, good stuff.

    • @seqemergencyvehicles
      @seqemergencyvehicles  Před 3 lety +12

      SausageFruit, the green light is activated when the emergency lights are so if they go through speed or red light cameras, they don't get fined. Thanks for watching

    • @sausagefruit7690
      @sausagefruit7690 Před 3 lety +5

      @@seqemergencyvehicles Oh lol okay, I thought the green light means that it's an emegerncy doctor on board. That was in some other countries, I think.

    • @seqemergencyvehicles
      @seqemergencyvehicles  Před 3 lety +5

      SausageFruit,nah completely different here at least, in Queensland, there are a total of 12 doctor paramedics which get around in what we call the HARU (High Acutiy Response Unit) vehicles like the cars at 2:05.

    • @sausagefruit7690
      @sausagefruit7690 Před 3 lety +2

      @@seqemergencyvehicles oh nice, but it's almost the same, like an doctor is at least on board. :D thx for the answer. :D

    • @coover65
      @coover65 Před 3 lety

      @@sausagefruit7690 The green steady light has nothing to do with doctors on board. Having a doctor in a stretcher ambulance is quite rare and QAS Doctors only respond to the most serious of cases. Queensland paramedics are amongst the best trained in the world, and perform a lot of procedures that only doctors in some other countries can perform.

    What I'm wondering, is it possible to tell the difference between ambulance, police, and fire by sound alone? That is, if we hear a siren, can we know what it is without looking?

    • @seqemergencyvehicles
      @seqemergencyvehicles  Před 2 lety

      Dan Phillips, well for me I can tell them all apart very distinctly but that's because I hear so many - I don't really know how to describe them apart except from QFRS sounding more whiny than the others lol, they all do sound different though
