2023 Honda BR-V Philippines Review: Better Than Veloz, Xpander Cross?

    As tested (BR-V VX): P1,390,000
    Full review: wp.me/p2KYwt-eZv
    When Honda first released the BR-V, we found it to be a greatly-engineered vehicle but one with questionable design. Sure, the BR-V had the inherent Honda levels of overengineering, especially for its time, but its looks were based on the Mobilio, which in our opinion looked weird if you didn't get the sporty RS. That's all been rectified here in this second-generation model. Improved in every way possible, the new BR-V has eventually become Honda's best-selling model in the Philippines. To see why, we got ourselves a range-topping 2023 Honda BR-V VX to understand how good this crossover has become.

    Sir good day. Does the S cvt variant have walk away locking mechanism? Honda manual seems too vague. Thank you.

    What are the driver assist available for this? Does ithave the Honda Sensing (Active park assist, tire pressure monitoring, adaptive cruise control etc.) That is really the deal breaker when buying a car nowadays.

    My only complaint on the current BRV is the lack color choices. They are all monochromatic white, grey, black . They should add Blue,red, choices like CRV, City, HRV etc...

    • @Stavridis-pd5ci
      @Stavridis-pd5ci Před 3 měsíci

      Monochrome colors are classic and classy. Go to Europe and most cars are silver, black, white, grey. Even after 10 years your color will look good. Blues and reds are too bright and toyish, not very stylish

    Congrats because you say what you really think and compared to its rivals like Stargazer, Veloz etc. It's true noise is bit audible but the stock tires are Ensave, so if you upgrade that it can be quieter. Also, the engine humming is actually nice because it feels sporty
    Looking at the whole package and vs its competitors, BRV has it all. It has the most powerful engine in its class (vs Avanza, Xpander, Ertiga, even Rush) has high torque so good for uphill climbs, better interior like plastics, superior build quality, decent ground clearance (higher than Ertiga, Avanza), and still has good fuel efficiency (23km/L highway). So that justifies its higher price tag

      Yes Hondas are priced above Toyotas but it's because of higher quality (more powerful engines, superior build such as plastics in interior), sportier styling (vs "space" Xpander/Stargazer that will look dated in 5 years) etc.
      But if you want the complete package: superior engine (they supply engines to F1 teams), sportier styling, higher quality interiors, fuel efficiency, high resale value (50% or more after 10 years), then get a Honda!

      Overpriced for an American car. Good luck on reliability, maintenance and fuel costs and resale value. Previous gen Territory has 5km/L fuel efficiency :'D
      And they are trying to look mean and bad ass in their designs which only promotes arrogant and reckless driving for people who need that look to make up for their insecurity and big egos. LOL

    I like honda esp iyong engine nya sure quality, but pag dating sa BRV doubt pa ako. Unang una same suspension din sya ng sedan type w/c was the honda city and alam nmn ng karamihan na pag tumatagal na ang city no. 1 na prob ay ang suspension. And ang isa ay iyong body nya compare sa sedan medyo mabigat, kaya nagtataka lang ako why ang honda 1.5 pa din ang inilagay sa BRV. Well, maybe pag bago pa di pa ito ramdam but alam nmn natin na magkaka edad din ang sasakyan at mahihirapan din sa mga uphill. So compare sa sedan na medyo magaan ang body parang mas hirap ang engine ng BRV with same 1.5. Kaya hanggang ngayon still waiting pa kami sa mga feedback to help us decide if will buy or not.

      I agree. Practicality and riding comfort. Looks are subjective but for a Korean Vibe, a lot of the younger generation would like the design. Stargazer X addresses a lot of previous issues and the same price as the top Specs of BRv. Again, for Filipino families space, practicality, performance and comfort pasok ang stargazer. Also Hyundai reliability has been tested already.🇵🇭
