Solo Long Cross Country Cessna 172 G1000

Here are the three approaches and landings from today's Solo Long Cross Country flight KPAO-KMOD-KSAC-KPAO. This just about completes all of my PPL requirements. Total flight time was 2:17 with about 2 hours in the air covering a total distance of 209.2 nm. I included some extra footage once I got back into the Palo Alto area. It was very busy and I had to do a left 360 for spacing over the bay and an extended downwind. Apologies for some audio quality issues. I switched cameras mid-flight. Something is always going wrong with the GoPros.

What ipad holder do you have ? Do you recommend it ? I have Ipad pro 10"

matrixab435 It's an iPad mini but I don't use it mounted like that anymore. I now have an aluminum knee board that flips over and the iPad is underneath. I fly a G1000 equipped aircraft so ForeFlight in the cockpit is really secondary.

turn off ipad. your supposed to use pilotedge and dead reckoning on student x country

Jeff Daugherty A bit of a moot point in a G1000 cockpit. Having said that I didn't bring the iPad for my PPL check ride (although the moving map was still there). Thanks for watching and picking that up!

Norcal Flyer what airport did you start out at? also looked like KSAC wasnt busy!

Jeff Daugherty KPAO. KSAC has never been busy when I have flown out there.
