This is a linear walk of approx 10 miles/16 Km through the charming Chilterns. It is an easy walk, very flat and no stiles. Well waymarked and signposted throughout. No amenities on the route but toilets, cafes and shops at the beginning and end of the route. A direct train runs from end to start. Both train stations have pay and display car parking.

Great weather for a 10 mile hike but what a difference walking next to the river and crossing the M25. I always enjoy a good rabbit on the trail and 99.9% you meet are always brilliant too. A good indicator of a walk is always would you do it again and a yes and a 7 out of 10 sounds good to me, cheers Alan

The Chilterns is an area I’ve not explored but looks lovely. Latimer looks a nice village, shame there’s no pub or cafe but looks like a good place for a break.

Hi Rachel, I spotted the date on your train ticket. I bet 1st August seems a long time ago now. The Chilterns is in my neck of the woods, so very familiar. If you get much closer I'll wave at you. Think I may have mentioned, you don't have to go far off the main trail to be pretty much alone. Thank heavens most people can't map read.
