    I strung it up as a hybrid and I've it. Used Yonex dynawire (nylon) in the crosses. Don't care much about how long it will last.
    Plays wonderfully....

    I´m currently trying to find my new standard string and I have it here but I will try it at last. At tenniswarehouse there is a database from tension loss / stiffness and stuff, where you can compare strings, it´s very interesting for finding new strings or comparing.
    It says that the tension loss is very high on this one, I had in mind to play it as fullbed first and if I don´t like it then I wanted to make a hybrid with the head velocity mlt that is in my opinion currently the best performing cheap multifilament string.
    PS: Did you measure it with the ERT ?!?! Would´ve been interestin which DT-Value it would have.
    Greetings from Austria ;)

    Hi Harry. I know you're a big Confidential fan - curious if you've tried Solinco Revolution at all?
    I didn't see it in the selection when you reviewed the Solinco line. I'm really loving it at the moment, feels quite stiff to me - I'd interested to know how you think it stacks up to Confidential

    Good with Natural Gut on the cross because it holds the softer gut with the square edges and the gut can hold higher tension for control.

    It feels (& looked) like I’m string my racquet with instant ramen. Yes, a slight increase with spin. Good from baseline & great volley control. However after third time out, my old wrist & elbow issues came back with vengeance. Hence, I want to like it but my joints refused. Maybe it was too much feedback/response from the strings & I liked more muted poly?

  • @kelseykelsey1248
    @kelseykelsey1248 Před 11 měsíci

    I find the hyper G loses tension far more quickly than the Weiss Cannot ultra.
    with all poly' s there are idiosyncrasies. You don't like that it played too soft?
    up the tension 5lbs.
    But to poo poo a string because you don't like it cause it's not as stiff as you like is absurd.
    Example. First time I strung up Big Hitter Blue rough. Which was aimed to hold tension well. It just sucked and lost so much tension in two days that it was unplayable. First day? I loved it. So I strung up another frame with it but this time strung it 8lbs tighter. And it has been playing great for 8 days.
    Don't give up. Granted. Strings are individual and personal. We aren't wired the same. All strings are not created equal, all frames are not created equal, all strikes are not created equal. One man's feel is another man's dead.
    It's personal. But be fair.
    Testing a string is not one string job. Testing requires a desire to exact maximum playability for you from any one string. Once you find that "tension" where the string can be played by you then you can actually speak to the characteristics of that string. Bit to just out of hand dismiss it after one string job because it played to soft? Dude. Amp up the tension and give it another shot. Otherwise. You just missed the point. This isn't about magic.

    • @dthorne4602
      @dthorne4602 Před 2 lety

      it's much thicker than standard 17g because they measure corner to corner, so its more like a 15g in actual thickness. You definitely do not want to string it at higher tensions, that would be a mistake.

    • @jameshaldeman9181
      @jameshaldeman9181 Před 2 lety +1

      @@dthorne4602 idk man, it looks the same diameter as my other 17g. But even still, weis canon is quite slingy from my experience and I found it to be more controllable when I cranked the tension up a bit from my usual (51lbs to 54lbs)

    Just string at higher tension like 52lbs - 55lbs. There’re some good co-poly from Germany that is only $50-60 per a 660ft reel on Amazon. Very useable. OEHMS is one of them. Much much cheaper than the overpriced brand named strings.
