    Good timing. I need to do this to my compressor real soon. Luckily enough for me, it's just the clutch. Good job!

      I was hoping some bad. Unfortunately not my case. I'll be attempting to replace the compressor and recharge my AC this coming week. Wish me luck!

    I’ve been a sub for awhile and then saw this today lol. My 01 crv ac screams from time to time. I think the bearing is shot. I just turn it in and off until I get it to find it’s happy spot. Will be changing my bearing soon as well. Nice vid

      have similar problem, when I turn on ac it screeches for 10 seconds and then goes silent, thats probably bearing right ?

    • @GarageBuiltHondas
      @GarageBuiltHondas  Před 10 měsíci

      It may just be the bearing in the tensioner also. You can replace just that bearing for cheap. amzn.to/45WFbLt

    I have 3 wires spliced from the ac contention what wires hook up the ac compressor ? And is the black wire from the clutch a ground connection to the compressor?

    Great video. I think I've done those newer CRV compressors and had to half way drop the sub frame.

      It wasn't you asking about another video. Everything done on my social media is 100% on my time. You just happened to ask the same week I had a video scheduled to be released. It's not a very fun video but will help my 1st gen CRV playlist grow. 👍

    Do you know if 205/50/15 tires will rub on a EK civic coupe ? The rims are GSR blades, and I’m dropped an inch.

      @@GarageBuiltHondas Dude, now that I have started my YT journey, I have a whooooooole different appreciation for what you do, and what you have accomplished.
      When I first saw your channel years ago, I thought, "Wow, this guy is awesome! He can teach me how to fix my EF!" and I'll be honest, I only really looked at stuff related to that.
      Now? I look at your channel, and think, "Holy shit, what this guy accomplished is incredible!" Of course, I will most certainly keep watching when I need to find out something about fixing my EF, but on top of that, I will watch the other stuff out of sheer respect. After all, it costs me nothing to support you, and NOW I know that it matters.
      Cheers! =)

    ac uses a magnetic coupling. constant torque and compressor speed independent of engine rpm. if the outer pully spins its not the magnetic clutch
