Rooster, haven't you figured this out yet? Lucy and Martha have some of the best harmonies ever and Lucy is at the top, past or present, of any solo performer, ever! No one can do what she does, period!

Listening to the younger girl Martha in perfect Italian on her own is almost spiritual and extremely moving. Of course both are awesome - it's just Martha has something very special about her here almost musically Merged with Lucy. One of YTs greatest duets by anyone. Once you have heard this sublime version there is no looking elsewhere. Every time I come back and listen I am equally Overwhelmed and wish to write more praise. You want everyone to realize just how beautiful this is.

Yes the second language is Italian.....And FYI Young Martha was only 12 years old when this song was recorded !!! 12 years old !!! Incredible.......and would it surprise you that their Mother Louise also sings ???? Lucy has mentioned that in interviews and a picture of Lucy and Louise being driven somewhere in the back seat and BOTH singing !!!! And yes their singing appears to be heriditary and a lot of work !!!! Thanks for the review. Lucys last song a cover, THE WAY WE WERE is stunning as is her dress rehearsal original award winning song BROKEN DREAMS, written by Chris broom for the coming Musical ROSIE. Also the last song Martha and Lucy did THE CLIMB is also a great song as Martha has grown some !!! Check em out !!! And WHEN YOU BELIEVE is a great song for martha she was 11 and did the lead in the song and we hear a lot of just martha singing and she really gets into the song her personality comes out and she is a lot more animated and does some belting !!!

'The Prayer' was written by Andrea Bocelli and he sang the original duet with Celine Dion.Personally, I prefer to listen to Lucy and Martha. In any case, the future belongs to them.Btw,Andrea Bocelli is actually Italian and of course the 2nd language is Italian.

Hi - was actually written by David Foster, Carole Bayer Sager, Alberto Testa and Tony Renis for Bocelli and Dion - I think for a film. Prefer Lucy and Martha by a mile. Not to take anything away from Martha (she is fantastic), I would be interested to hear Lucy sing this with Bocelli, the thought is mind blowing!

@@topgunaudio7983 NO !!!! Lucy does NOT need to sing this with Bocelli as what happens she would get BURIED by the bellowing bull Bocelli. She has already had that happen when she agreed to sing unrehearsed with Herculeus for a charity event and all was fine until he started BELLOWING at the top of his lungs, I guess to "Prove" how manly he was, and it PISSED Lucy off royally and she really gave it hell but no way a 15 year old girl can compete with a huge Bellowing Bull. The Girl becomes just stage decorations. That has happened to Jackie Evancho a couple of time when she was convienced it was "Good for her" to sing with a bellowing bull !!! Lucy is fantastic on her own she does not need to be embarassed on stage !! !

@@wilburfinnigan2142 yes I heard that version but Bocelli as a more seasoned and far better tenor is able to control his voice and distance from mic much better as he does with Dion. That last note of his is very contained. Lucy has the pipes as she did demonstrate with the bull. Had he listened to his co star that could have been good! His was a case of listen to me.

Hey Rooster...You seem to have a low hum whenever you pause to speak as if your mic is sitting on something and causing a low hum noise. Otherwise, Lucy and Martha are pure and simply phenomenal vocalists. They are so wonderful together that words fail to describe the beauty of their voices together. And yes, this is Italian and they sing it as if it is their native language. Shows you how smart these two angels truly are.

@@ROOSTERREACTSI know this is an old recording but since someone commented on the microphone, the thing that I have noticed in the handful of these Lucy Thomas reactions that I have watched from you so far, and it's no big deal but as a musician and sound guy, it kind of drives me nuts. There's a heavy not very well adjusted noise gate on the microphone, so that whenever it detects that you have stopped vocalizing, it immediately cuts everything including any background noise and there is literally zero sound - it's basically muted.
And then of course it fires up again when you start talking and I find it disconcerting.
But that's just me; a lot of people probably wouldn't even notice it.
