1960 Kiekhaefer Merc 400 Second Run Since Rebuild

Made this for my brother Dan who rebuilt the block. Runs great! I think I have an air leak somewhere in my fuel hose or gas tank though. Watch the RPM... it's searching.

Dan did good job . stick with good oil . like Quicksilver . you were running 25 to 1 for break in I hope . hard to pinpoint trouble not being there . low speed miss could be cap n rotor . my trick is to gently bend terminals in cap with small box wrench just slightly set cap on n check clearance . point gap is .008 to .010 use couple drops loctite on rotor . max spark adv is .235 . Quicksilver primer bulb n hose I recommend . had a few rebuilds dew to faulty after market primer bulbs . happy boating !
