House of the rising sun was originally written and performed by Leadbelly and his wife, though the Animals are most associated with it, same case with Elvis and Hound Dog by originally performed by Big Mama Thornton and Rum and Coca Cola by performed by the Andrews Sisters was originally written and performed by Lord Invader, Going down the country was a cover done by Canned Heat who also took their name’s inspiration from the song Canned Heat, a blues song…
