How’s THIS for an almighty three-way drag race?! Mat’s rolled up in the Bentley Continental GT Speed, and he’s got an Aston Martin DBS & a Ferrari Roma alongside him!
Let’s take a look at how these cars compare. Starting with the Bentley, it’s powered by a HUGE 6-litre W12 engine that’ll deliver 659hp & 900Nm of torque. As you can imagine, it’s pretty heavy though, weighing in at 2,273kg!
The Aston Martin DBS alongside him is a whole lot lighter, at 1845kg. However, it’s got one big disadvantage, despite it being powered by a 5.20litre twin-turbo V12 that can put down 715hp & 900Nm - it’s rear-wheel drive! And then finally we have the Ferrari Roma. It’s ‘only’ powered by a 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8, but it’s also the lightest car here, at 1570kg! It can still put the power down, though, delivering 620hp & 760Nm.

@@WujekJeffI just saw a Bentley continental GT yesterday evening.....it was a cloudy day and was little dark, then came the Bentley Continental GT crusing and turning across the curve in a highway....My God, the Bentley looked absolutely beautiful with those lit up diamond front lights, silver front grills and all that with that dark clouds in the background.....definitely, one of the gorgeous looking car out there.....

I love the DBS but 715bhp and no launch control is insane. I want one. The Roma is fantastic and the Bentley is pretty impressive too.
The DBS is probably the best drift car here but for everything else it's a disgrace. I could forgive it if it's shortcomings were due to budgeting but it's the most expensive car here - twice the price of the Roma!! How badly would an equally priced Ferrari smash it??
The Roma is a good car. The gearbox is taken from SF-90 it really helps with traction. As the Aston has nearly 100 more bhp.

I can't deny that the Roma is absolutely elegantly beautiful, its style may look a bit like an Aston Martin, but, I love it's own look, especially the tail lights.

That Ferrari is insanely fast!! I thought for sure the Aston would have it in the rolling race due to the horsepower difference, but the Roma made it look like a Corolla.

Ferrari was already flooring it when he started the count down so a 2 second head start definitely makes a difference. Otherwise it would have been aston on top like the first roll race

I went to the Ferrari garage in Exeter. Never seen most of the cars in real life before. The Roma's front end was so underwhelming compared to the others I thought. The 812 looked ridiculously cool.

Watching the Bentley's speedo effortlessly climb from 50-180 mph while getting absolutely trounced just blows my mind.
Cars have gotten so fast nowadays all three are really nice luxury coupes definitely would probably take the Ferrari or the Bentley
Maybe I missed it but the Bently didn't get "trounced" in ANY of the 3 races... except for the rolling start... and you would expect that because the bgt had the awd advantage taken away with a rolling start...

The Roma it's easily the quickest of the three.
The Continental was able to beat it once, just because the surface is not favorable for launches which means, it's even better suitable for 4x4.
I mean it is a Ferrari bro🤣🤣Bentley is for a 50/50 blend of incredible high end luxury with speed as the second focus.
Ferrari is pure speed! Aston Martin’s is about 80% looks and 20% speed. If anything I was surprised the Aston Martin didn’t get crushed every time like they have in the past.
Ferrari it’s expected to win. Same goes it if was a Lamborghini and Mclaren tbh. ESPECIALLY a 911 Turbo S will clap all of them as it technically also has rear seat too lolll
@@Yinyang1277 not really. The DBS competes with the 812 Superfast and not the Roma. It has more than 700 hp and still lost in all three disciplines - even the Rolling race where it should've at least won. The Roma is the Entry Level Ferrari and should compete with the much cheaper Vantage or DB11, but it still smokes the Top End product from AM, the DBS with Ease.
Now I get it why Aston Martin is going downhill financially. Their cars are just so bad in comparison and you can't convince me otherwise. The sales really speak for itself...

@@LuciTulcea Agreed. The exterior is beautiful but that interior is terrible. The Roma also looks really nice, but the interior is full of touch capacitive buttons which are also not great. So the Bentley automatically wins in my book

It kind of looks like just what I would imagine a Chevy Camero would be overseas. Blocky, tiny windows, and a weird and outdated interior. I prefer the exterior of the Roma and the Interior of the Bentley. The wheels on the Roma are my favorite thing to look at too.

The Bentley is the ultimate in sporty luxury with the emphasis on luxury, its name is a bit of a giveaway as to it’s role, Continental Grand Tourer, the AM is the same but a little bit more Sporty. The Ferrari, being a Ferrari whilst being a GT is very much focused on the Sport side of things, focused performance with room for golf clubs, it will do the trip to Monaco but your spine will wish you took the Bentley. See nothing senseless about my comment at all.🤷♂️🤷♂️

Matt did you know in any soft limited Audi/VW if you drive away very slowly slip it to neutral and the soft limiter is bypassed if you need to hear the exhaust without soft limiter 👍

The spec on the DBS is just crass and chavvy imo. The Roma would look so much better with silver alloys..As a daily driver I'd probably go with the Bentley but for Driving enjoyment it would without doubt be the Roma..👍👍

Actually the spec of the DBS is really interesting. The 10 examples were commissioned by Aston Martin Bristol which is sited less than a mile from Filton Airport which is where not only where many of Concorde's test flights took off from, but where one actually resides now in a specially built museum. Aston Martin have a history of producing aviation specials and the Concorde Edition is more than just a name. A number of the components on it that differentiate it from the standard model are actually made from bits of melded down Concorde. It's a little more than just some badges, it's a very interesting commemoration to the aircraft and the 10 examples all have different registration numbers on their wings from the 10 UK built planes.
....if anything is 'chavvy', it's the 4D number plates on the Roma! 🤣

The Ferrari in the second rolling-race appears to be mid-acceleration when the race starts which definitely helps it with its 'launch'
still would've won regardless. Much better transmission than the Aston Martin and somehow faster accelerating at high speed. Its literally the 992 Turbo S of the GT class but with much better sound and a better design.

Both cars have AWD and weigh less than the only *AWD* car here and the Bentley was closer to the 11s mark compared to the other cars here.

For future and proper brake tests: why not additionally giving the cars these gps trackers to exactly figure out the stopping distance. Only for addition to really see the m distance between. Sometimes the driver is more responsible rather the car ( reaction and stuff)
