Jeff was an incredible jazz singer
and a versatile guitarst too
Hearing him smile on the "beat your head on the pavement" verse brings me warmth and melancholy to my heart... Worst loss to music in the 20th Century...
I agree :'(
Jeff and Tim, both were absolutely terrible losses, Jeff's death was an accident, Tim's was easily foreseeable
Damn i just heard and pictured it
Thanks
my first time hearing that i thought it was so cute :((
Such a versatile guitarist it isn’t spoken about enough
Bought the CD yesterday. I've only been listening to his music for about 2 months now but i'm so captivated by his voice. The passion in his voice is so prominent. RIP Jeff.
i binged him for 3 months and made me realise i wanted to pursue music
I can imagine how jeff singing like an angel.
The audience is enchanted...
Soulfully music speaks. Breaks boundaries,,,,And Jeff knew that. It's what he left us in his Legacy.

Don't let the sun catch you cryin'
Cryin' at my front door
You done Daddy dirty
He sure don't want you no more
Don't let the sun catch you lyin'
Lyin' at my front door
Daddy's done turned salty
And baby, you made him so sore
You can cry, cry, cry
Yes baby, you can wail
Beat your head on the pavement
Till the man comes and throws you in jail
But don't let the sun catch you cryin'
Cryin' at my front door
You done your Daddy dirty
He just don't want you no more
You can cry, cry, cry
Yes baby, you can wail
Beat your head on the pavement
Till the man comes and throws you in jail
But don't let the sun catch you cryin'
Cryin' at my front door
You done your Daddy dirty
He just don't want you no more
When the moon goes down in the dawn
And the sun comes up in the morning
Don't let the sun catch you cryin'
'Cause daddy don't want you no more
Love It Deep Soul Music :) Cool

Anyone got the guitar chords?
did you ever find it?
@@eddiechandler4018 No :(
It’s a jazzed up blues
so other people know this song, I though it was my own song.
Who did write that song?
This sounds like Junior Parker's version of the song, but I think Gerry and the Pacemakers wrote it.
+Neckbeard Prophet this is not the Gerry and the Pacemakers song. totally different.
+Irene Garner Well, Gerry and the Pacemakers do have a song called Don't Let the Sun Catch You Cryin'
Written by Joe Greene, performed by Ray Charles.
Jeff Buckley, at the end of this song, says it was performed by Ray Charles
Original is the best ! Gerry and the pacemakers 1964. London.
