My late father used to always go to Brick Lane and get his curry fix - to takeaway and drive home to Kent. He never went anywhere else. Simply the best place
from kent!! wow your father knew about the authentic food, bless him and rest his soul x
My son in law Humayun introduced us to Bangladeshi spicy mashed potatoes- absolute heaven !!! All the food looks amazing
Nothing beats a traditional Bangladeshi beef bhuna. Absolutely amazing. I don't think other asian countries beef curries as nice.
Latif - you make me proud to be British again - this is such an amazing advert for the amazingness of immigrant community innovation and enterprise. Love it!
Ahh bless. Thank you so much Naomi
It's good to hear you say that especially nowadays with the world full of hate towards each other.
This is why I miss London so much
I was at Leeds university in the late 1970's. Best Indian food was in Bradford. Balti was the thing back then
You don’t need to be in London to get this quality of food. Best Asian food including Bangladeshi food I ever had was around Yorkshire. Leicester/Birmingham also very good
I've found my new food guru. I'm going to eat my way down Brick Lane in a week. Ya gotta love Britain's multicultural society. And ALL of these amazing dishes brought to us by great Bangladeshi chefs.
This channel just gets better. But not when you’re on a diet
😀😀😀😀😆😆
Hi Latif,
I have been working with a lovely Pakistani guy lately. He shares his food with me that his wife makes. (Minced Lamb Snacks). We will be sharing cookbooks and i will be absorbing his knowledge. Getting back into my cooking, now i have the time. Always love Indian/Bangladeshi food cooked proper.
Stevie in Scotland.
Every dish looks exactly like how my mother used to cook. That’s one of the best compliments any good Sylheti boy can say to a chef...
Really enjoyed this thank you I have to say we Bengali's know how to eat well and the amount of preparation and patience that goes into making some of these fish and bengali vegetable dishes you would be amazed, it's been a long time since I visited Brick Lane this brings back such good memories
Noticed there's a lot more fish dishes compared to Indian or Pakistani restaurants.
This is one of the reasons that a multicultural Britain is so wonderful, thanks for sharing . . . . my mouth is drooling. X
Nice one Latif, looks delicious.
Was lovely food
Love how every restaurant you visit you show the good side and compliment everything! Great energy👌🏾
I try but however if something isn’t right I will say in the most respectful way. It’s extremely difficult for business owners this current situation!
@@LatifsInspired Well said, Chef.
I'm fasting today and will break it with Indonesian food. I soo want to call my Bangladeshi brothers and ask for some of this amazing food. Not sure how my lovely wife would take it, though. 😉
As a student in London, I used to frequent a cheap and cheerful restaurant called "Anwar's" just off Tottenham Court Road. It's long gone, but it served really delicious, authentic food at a great price. It's good to see that there are still places in London that offer the same great experience, and I'll have to check out Graam Bangla the next time I visit the area.
Tottenham court Road 😎🌶🥘
I love Bengali food! People need to go out there and try the unique fish curries. Yes they have bones you need to unpick but worth the taste!
Ohhh the food looks gorgoues! Well done yet again.
Great video showing the traditional cooking and the artwork. I will visit next time I’m in a London. Thanks Latif you are keeping us informed and entertained.
thanks Lattif for sharing got to admit the whole experience looked amazing, keep up the good work loved it
Love these tours showing the best places, tried a curry house in bricklane but was not a good one will have to go back and give this place a go!
"is this mutton or lamb?"
"its chicken"
😂 Classic!
The khala Bhuna was beef
😂 Even funnier 😂
awesome presenting skills
that looks lovely.
Thank you for a great vid again Latif - will defo be trying this restaurant, the fish looked out of this world
The secret ingredient, as he whips out the Coleman's Mustard! Yeah! Love the shows, informative and entertaining, thanks for sharing them.
I have a lovely Bengali fish curry recipe that uses Colmans mustard powder and mustard seeds extensively, I'm going to make it this week now having seen this vid
Those traditional Bangladeshi dishes looked mouth watering
1976-1981: I used to make a pilgrimage of sorts from Acton to Brick Lane twice a month to one restaurant no bigger than a hole in the wall. Best Indian/Bengali food I ever tasted.
Amazing looking food! I felt so hungry watching you. Great video, thank you.
Excellent stuff, that bhuna looks amazing
Goldmine! Amazing food after amazing food! All of the food looked beautiful, proper Bengali food! Also loved the photography, so much beautiful culture in one video! Love Bangladesh! 💗🇧🇩
Looks good really enjoying these food reviews
Ah that Shudki is something special! Defo an acquired taste lol. Much love bro. Masha Allah
Authentic Bangladeshi traditional food place we need more of these type in other places so general public can go try the Famous Bhortas at least. There's more Bhorta types. Here it's just potato bhorta
WOW ! So many amazing dishes there’s certainly a lot of preparation to do on all those different dishes . Now I’m hungry great video well documented keep them coming latifs
Wow that rohu and potato bhorta really reminds me of my late Bihari grandmother. She would always ask the kids to mash her bhorta by hand the exact same way as in the video. Her bhorta used to have a tiny bit of tempering of mustard oil, dried red chilis and some onion too. Always eaten with plain bhaat rice. The starchy rice water would be drained off and she would starch her saris with it. We would always get fried rohu at her house whenever she made that. Gorgeous fish.
Amazing home style food I will sometime visit this restaurant in london inshahallah😋
Beautiful video👍
Really nice video. Defo traditional style dishes. Mouth watering. Great stuff.
I worked at Shoreditch Stn in the late 80s... It was the only place to eat curry in London. I chose brick lane as my retirement farewell when I retired in 2009.
Colmans mustard, absolutely the best mustard in the world 👍👍👍
I put that in my ham rolls that mustard
Will definitely try I live not far from brick lane thank you for sharing. Especially when many down brick lane claim best in the world on many of the resturaunt s.
Fantastic food,👍
They all look mouth watering
Looks delicious
Best one so far.
All looks so amazing
Masha Allah, loved them
🙏😎Love the restaurant tours
Thank you really enjoying myself too! This is a dream
Omg I love the fishes.
I'm a bengali typical eater.. This place is a joy for me... Mouth-watering.....love it!!!
Diamond of a dish. Love that line
I’m going there it looks soooo 😋 tasty
As a 🇵🇰 i love bangla curry ayer mass boal mass are my fav but yeah InshaAllah i will be going there to eat and bang out that curry.
Would love to see you cook the Khala Bhuna. (This video inspired me to have a go today)
It's Kala Bhuna, not khala Bhuna. In Bengali, Khala means Aunt (from mother's side).
Oh my gosh, my mouth is watering. Everything looks so delicious!
another great video.
Looks great.
Great video thanks made me hungry 😂😁.
Go on blad. Onek duroi zaibai tumi. Keep the consistency. Knew it you had it in you. Good CZcams vlogger/reviewer about consistency, details, nice presentation.
Yessss! Love this
Work just round the corner near Liverpool st station, be trying this place for sure, thanks.
Hi Latif, love the Channel, you are a great inspiration for my cooking. I watched all your videos on Bricklane, this weekend I came over to London from Ireland to watch a football game, so I had to visit Bricklane. Was one of the best cultural experiences I have had in a long time. A great evening was had. Can't wait to return 😊
For years I wanted to go to Brick Lane for some food. Being from Bradford I was weaned on curries, mostly Pakistani, but I really wanted a good Bengali feed. I can’t remember which restaurant it was I went into there, they all claim to gave won at some point the “Best Restaurant on Brick Lane”, but the food was grim. Luminous multicoloured rice , tasteless overcooked fish, and a price that would make you wince. Typical tourist trap.
That's just sad. Also I am a little surprised you talking about multicolored rice cause actually in Bangladesh we don't use multicolor rice with our dishes, rather they are called shada vaat (white rice aka plain rice). Only multicolored rice I can think of is when biriyani is cooked but again that is not only rice, that's an entire dish which is very complicated to create perfectly and only professional chefs with lots of years of experience can do it. So I have to say you definitely were scammed
got me hungry at 5 in the morning! awesome video
I was a regular in this place. Sotal satni was my fav. Need to go soon to try the Friday special
Beautiful food! 😊
I remember eating there , the food is so tasty.
Nice meeting you bro
Likewise
Looks so delicious
Asian food is the best food on the planet by a mile. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge, your food is amazing. If you do have spare time bro i dont suppose you know any spicy chicken recipes for a pizza topping. I have tried to do my own but just cant seem to get it to my liking. I would be grateful. Keep up the good work
Great vid!
So many varieties😍😍😍
Thank you ,food looks wonderful 🤗
Lovely
Channels growing bro keep them coming
wow i miss living in manchester soo much , i live in south wales now and i miss the back street food more than my freinds (sorry boys) traditional banga food is the best food in the world imo mmmm
My neck of the woods Latif. I was born in Bow not far from there. So I'm an original cockney Eastender....☺ not many left Now ☹ Now live down south. Never found a good authentic curry house really, all hit and miss,, that's why I started cooking my own. Then found you doing your you tube thang !! Now, never looked back. One day I will visit this foodie authentic place again. The food looks just amazing!
What an amazing video! I really enjoy watching your video It makes me happy and Your video is good quality and content is very nice.. The way you explained step by step God bless everyone🙏🏻❤️
love the food. many of bir restaurants just cook the standard stuff. will try this place as will be in london soon have you tried shababs in ladypool rd brum give it a go
Yum!
Latif your next video should be comparing dishes from Pakistan Bangladesh and North India. See how they differ and which cooking style is better
@Harrey potter I've seen curries tried in Pakistan by some of the CZcamsrs...those curries look alot more appealing then the curries including home style curries you get in Pakistani restaurants in the uk
@Harrey potter really! You clearly haven't tried bangali food, I've tried both as I've got a lot of Pakistani friends, although the food is nice the main difference is the variety, the Bangladeshi cuisine has a huge variety, as well as your meat and veg dishes you've got a huge range of seafood dishes, Pakistani dishes are very limited
Best video
Yo!!!
Thank you
Very nice 👍
Thank you Madam
Great thing about London is having people from all round the world with all their different food.
Excellent video.I like the way not only you just showed BD food but also the culture behind it through those wall pictures.Great job brother.I hope you visit New York and I will take you to a BD restaurant here.I am inviting you to NYC.Yes I know I was a little sad about the heading of your Biman video but then again when you are in love with Biman you tend to ignore some realities. But I hear airlines like Emirates order from Biman catering.Salam.
Brick Lane here I come! Haven't been there for ages.
Excellent
I love it bro
the food looks great. the chef is full of enthusiasm lol he should host 'master chef' lol
I love aloo bhorta😋
Love the content food is great
Am watching this at 8.45 am and now I’m wanting a curry
Great. When you coming to do some reviews on Southall or around west London?
Latif bhai you are smashing it 😅
Incredible 😊🐥🥔🌶🥘Many 🙏
Bless
So satisfying watching this as a Bengali sylheti
What’s a Bengali Sylethi? That’s like saying a Indian Punjabi
It’s a shame what Sylethis have portrayed true Bangladeshi cuisine.
@@adamuce in Bangladesh there are different dialects. For example a Dhaka(capital city) or sylheti dialect. The language is the same but some words will be pronounced differently. I said bengali sylheti because that’s what latif spoke in. It was satisfying because I understood parts that others may have not
@@adamuce why is it a shame?
@@kalimm8191 Sylethi is not a dialect but a different language to Bangla
Love this..... from bishwanath as well...
I love Atik! ❤️
This is my local place where they sell traditional dishes and not avaliable in normal restaurants.
Its about time you got back to work and made some more curry vids
Nice seeing u today @ green st bro
Nice
