Part 1 of our explore of the abandoned holiday park of Pontins in Hemsby near Great Yarmouth. This park was closed without warning in 2008, the workers were sent home and the gates where locked.. unfortunately over the years it has become a haven for vandles and arsonists leaving it in a very sorry state of repair and slowly being reclaimed by nature..

My first ever Saturday job was here, Pontins Hemsby. £10 a day, at aged 12 … felt like a fortune back then! :)

This is actually so sad to look at, remembering all the happy times i spent there when i was younger with my family. I was in pure shock a few years back when i drove past to see it in such a state. 😔

Very sad video guys. A holiday for families, to get away from trouble and strife. Felt quite emotional watching it. So pleased I didn't book there next month.

My mum used to work there as a lifeguard and now it’s this?! I’m actually crying.

That's a weird emotion 🤔 it just happens init. More people went abroad on holiday because of low cost airlines. Aslong as it didn't close down whilst she was working there.. I don't know why you would care.

They leave these places to get smashed up by idiots. What a shame imagine all them people that came here to have fun gone forever.

Yeah I don't live far away and have heard it being knocked down too.. I'm sure the locals will be glad with 17 fires in 5 years!
