What is up with my mans hair?
Why all the swordsmen white . i really cant remember ever seeing a not white person....
I Recommend movie about butterfly sword: "BART JAM DO"

Oh god
It sounds so.. different.

I always thought it was "KEEL" and not "KEAL"
@@Viermi1304 KEAL as in Keep Everyone Alive

Keal = keep enemy alive?
Gotta love the genuine respect and appreciation from Andy despite losing. Love the sportsmanship in this competition
Same for me sportsmanship is what determines if I respect the person or not
In a show that has probably the most sportsmanlike behavior most people will ever see on TV, he was maybe the most shining example of it. They didn't cover it, but it feels like he was thinking 'we both made excellent blades, but that man did the homework I didn't, and won off that - he absolutely deserves the win for going the extra mile'. After all, neither blade really under or over-performed versus the other, so it had to have been details like pairing, guard you could slip your hand under, and the unsharpened portions.
so rare

i was looking for this comment😂
i see
Lol
Lmao! 😂
this blade.... will cut
man with thumb held on by tape: rEaLlY??
😂
Best comment all day. 🏆
I was thinking same
He actually put a towel inside and tight with tape no worrys brother
A man's injury repair: a little bit of rag, some tape, good as new. 😃👍
When Dave questioned why the lower 3rd wasn't sharpened and Shane answered correctly, I knew he was gonna win it!
A perfect response to the question! I was taught it was a way to threaten someone without drawing blood. You could place it against an oppoants throat and if they fought then the draw would kill them, meaning you could use them as a hostage more easily without dexapitading them.
@@williamlockhartnelson8873 It's information like that, that make this blade even cooler! This is truly a masterpiece of a weapon!
E
That’s not true. It’s a myth that these swords are intentionally made dull.
@jordan5221 It might not exactly have been the correct answer, but the assessment that the blades were typically duller there was what mattered more than the why.
Why are these people the most sportsmanlike people from any competition on tv
Maybe because they all know the hardworking that goes into each piece they have to make
I think because either the runner up get paid or they all get paid for being on the TV show and letting the cameras in to watch you work and the winner just gets additional money. Just a theory.
Because they are all men
@@tundrazzr3659 women don't has good sportsmanship?
@@williamblackfyre4866 Well duh. Women don't have any sportsmanship. All they have is sportswomenship.
"I want to test the strength of these blades"
**chops watermelon
First his speech about nuts, showing around his hacked up thumb in all its glorious details and then this absolut beast of a brutal chopping test. This guy is a gem!
I love the design of Shane, when Dave questioned him about the design he answered it correctly. I also love the respect and appreciation from Andy, He shows true sportsmanship.
That Andy guy was great. Funny, sportsmanlike, humble. He should really be proud of himself.
"Where are my nuts" Well after a cut like that and no panic at all just a classic tape bandage it just means your blind cause they gotta be big. i've seen less dangerous things happend to guys and they start crying or faint...
"Guys"
fun fact cuts like that are pretty painless. I've had a few cuts worse than his and you just feel the pressure but no pain
Got a 2 inch cut to the bone on my thumb about a month ago. No pain from the cut or at all durig healing. The only pain I had was from the lidocane while getting stiches. If you keep a knife sharp it cuts deep but really doesnt hurt.
@@Freakmaster480 Yea it really depends on the place and as you said if the blade is razor sharp with smaller cuts its sometimes weird cause you cant feel anything but you spot blood spilling out when you reach for something the worse thing is when people panic then you can create pain just out of the thought of beeing cut
@@AcidHeat I was in highscool bio and we were doing some lab years ago where we needed to take super thin slices of plants using a razor blade. Some girl cut herself a tiny bit but fliched really bad when she realized what happened. The cut wasn't super deep but it was a solid 5-6 inches long and bled a lot.
‘Gee this is really safe next to a propane tank.’ You don’t say
Yeah, an oversight, but once you've started, there's no going back without ruining the whole thing. I bet he learns from that near disaster.
I absolutely love this show. The contestants and judges are all very nice people.
Hopefully one day we'll see the "goedendag".
Let us see its features!
i really wish they end up doing it one day... its a rediculously amazing weapon that flies under the radar
Whoever is naming these, you're awesome.
Also when Shane said close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades, I knew he was gonna win. that attention to detail and worksmanship pays off.
They both made beautiful blades. The handles/guards were sleek. Andy's fullering and finial nuts were especially awesome. The nuts reminded me of the lotus blossom that the Japanese sometimes integrate into their weapons and tools. 😊
"and now i need to test the strength of these blades"- cutting watermelon. "oh yeah!"
That is the most stitches worthy cut I've ever seen. That's gonna scar like crazy. Cool story to tell your friends though, I guess.
I can’t get over my mans long hair!
Threw me for a loop!
Not bad at all, mind you.
jordan5221 He looks like that Guito guy from UFC lol just taller and a little less caveman like
He’s growing it to have cut off in a test.
@jordan5221 It'll get there.
Fr!
3:32 It will cut 😂
A blade that drank its father’s blood..
I love how humble and honest the competitors are on this show.
U can’t tell me different his finger when it was cut looked like a cut hotdog
My dude pulls out the mandaid after butchering his thumb, what a boss
When Dave mentioned the parts on the guard that went over the blade, I knew he was gonna lose. Great looking blades though
"It will keal" is in the title....my day is made legendary
This is the most wholesome show on earth
This was one of the closest and most interesting builds on the show! What a cool weapon! That little detail that got Shane the win was so interesting! Both of them did a fantastic job. I love this show.
2:34 "i wanna test the strengths of this blade"
*chops watermelon*
Yeah I was thinking the same thing
Zuko used similar weapons as the Blue Spirit and in Zuko Alone
Exactly what I was thinking
this is the only comment that should be in this comment section
they were like a cross between butterfly swords and oxtail daos.
@@flannagan3799 Buttertail daos maybe? :D
Duel dao or dorndao
Great knives, great presentation, great sportsmanship. Even the way the winner is using the money shows class and character. Hope the injury healed up alright.
Where’s all the actual smithing and making of the weapons barely saw any
It's all about the KEALLL
You don't need to see just enjoy the show...
@@nicok.1491 not really, it's more about the hosts getting their faces on TV. The probably edit to allow maximum FaceTime for the hosts.
Where was all the forging? That's my favorite part
@@McGowanForge ikr, I like to know why one guys blade cuts and stays sharp while the other blade breaks and shatters. Like I said, it's about the hosts feeding their egos.
This was a prime example in how to be gracious in loss. What a nice ending.
I love how Shane has a great attitude and good manners
I loved watching these guys. They are so different but both have outstanding character, craftsmanship, and attitudes.
You can tell Doug has a lot of fun at his job.
When did the History Channel hire Jesus of Nazareth to host this show?
Shhhhhh
He is reborn
😂😂😂
Buff Jesus
@@TheFReeFRiesss thats assuming jesus wasnt buff to begin with
I thought I was John snow
When they were standing with their swords at judgement and the host said there can only be one champion I was almost expecting them to fight to the death
Andy made 2 magnificent swords. But Shane made 2 magnificent swords that were exactly like the original, down to how the blade was sharpened and the fact that the guard on one side of the blade was thinner so it could be held as one sword (similarly to Zuko's twin swords in the last airbender if you look closely at those)
Iv trained with this weapon, Shane's was spot on, training butter fly knives are light and flimsy, wushu knives for show, actual combat blades need to be strong but light and he was 100% accurate to make them marry together and held drawn as one, anything else is just two blades that look like butterflies, other guy stood no chance.
Great competitors.. as professionals and as individuals. Amazing to watch
Lmao Dave with the spot test for bonus marks in the middle of the strength test
9:05 "Andy, Shane, we couldn't decide the winner so it'll be a duel to the death".
This is my favorite forged in fire ever just because of this legend.
Thanks again for including the weapon history!
love the extra history yall adding
Both did really well. Build quality and finish were both awesome.
These two were great sports, one of the most healthy and awesome competitions
Doug, turns around covered in blood with two knives in hand: It will Keal
Andy is such a good sport. Cool personality too.
much respect to andy! He has lot of class!
I swear Andy was dared by friends to say as many innuendoes as possible.
"I can't have nuts that are too big, and I can't have nuts that are too small, my nuts need to be....just the right size"
4:04 He knows what he's doing
4:10 I see what you did there
Andy is the kind of guy I will have as a friend¡ Nice attitude¡
That mad respect from each one of the competitors is wholesome.
**Almost burns down barn and blows up propane tank**
"That heat treat went very well for me"
Man the sportsmanship ❤️ I loved it!

Doug: "Your blades sir, will cut"
Andy: "Yes I'm aware of that"
I love the respect that is shown In this show
That's the best Loosing Winner I've seen. Great Job
"One-Chop" Shane. :-)
All the extra research and detail he put into his work gave him the win. Andy did good work, but Shane's extra efforts pushed him beyond.
4:07 he knows exactly what hes doing there LOL
I love the history lessons in the beginning
I know those mountains! Shout out to Shane in Payson, Utah! Well done, Sir!
A new forged in fire is always exciting!
"I can't have nuts that are too big, and I can't have nuts that are too small, my nuts need to be just the right size" truer words have never been spoken, i'm a fan of his philosophy of life
I love the sportsmanship in this show every episode is so wholesome
I love to see the Guan Dao (Dragon Blade) being made in this show.
Andy's voice is sick ! He made me listen to his words carefully
best episode I watched until now👌👍
Nice episode
Good sportsmanship
I love both of these guys
They didn’t slack with the spare time they actually tested
I love the respect going on in these clips, not sure why youtube spat them at me but im liking it.
Shane clearly did a lot of testing a research which is what swordmasters should also do when crafting the weapons. Is to learn why they were designed in that style. Shane showed why a little research goes a long way :3
good episode
One of the best video's I have seen ever 😳
"where are my nuts"
Someday i'll be mature enough to hear that without laughing, but that day is not today
That wasn’t only respect in the beginning, it was love ❤️
Amazing sportsmanship
Both these competitors seems like genuinely good people. I wish they both could have won
Forged in Fire is the best competition show ever
I doubt that anybody will EVER see this, but if ANY of you all have a way of me contacting Shane (the winner) from this episode, then please let me know, cuz I'd love to get him to make me these Butterfly Swords since I'm very fascinated by these current weapons and I love the history behind them
4:04 squirrels when winter is coming
Loved the way u wrote “kill”🌚
When dude said "Where are my nuts, I can't have nuts that are too big, I can't have nuts that are too small". I was rolling..
Why is he talking about nuts like that
You could say he’s a bit of a nutcase
Yea he’s a real nutjob
What a nutter
Because he's feeling the... NUT
What can I say, I guess he loves his nuts
"This will cut" "I mean my thumb is a testament to that"
I'm so addicted to this show
Hi! Thanks for watching! Subscribe to never miss a new video!

That "Over and Out" at the end hits differently when you realize you are never going to see that person again
9:25 lol musketeer hair is wild
It would be so crazy if one of the episodes in the end was like "last test fight to the death".
he put tape on that wound😂🤣 that would hurt coming off 😅
i thought the other guys “looked nicer” but as usual the judges made the right decision for the winner, his could be held as 1 sword and were made correctly. looks arent everythingxD
The detail in the dulled first 1/3 of the blade combined with the single handed hold were the clear difference. Nice work from both though.
Dude: cut my hand
Doug: IT WILL KEAL!!
This gave me Goosebumps 3:32
