  • This video is for the true space enthusiast that has never forgotten, and remembers the fallen astronauts of NASA who served our country by reaching for the stars. I know this video is from a week and a half ago but my time to make it really nice and memorable was my main focus. As some of you know, editing in this fashion takes time and effort. I truly hope I made it justice for you. If you LIKED it, you know which button to push. Thank you so much.

On February 26th 2023, NASA's Kennedy Space Center held a tribute to all of those that lost their life's for the United States space program including Space Shuttle Columbia and her crew. Space Shuttle Colombia was lost 20 years ago on February 1, 2003 while returning to Earth after a successful flight. It was Columbia's 28th mission and the first space shuttle to fly, on April 12, 1981.
I was honored to be there to show respect and remember my life long hero's. NASA TV live streamed the ceremony, but the live stream did not give it justice without the cameras angles that was needed for such a beautiful memorial ceremony. In this video I set up two cameras at the best locations and used a bit of b-roll from NASA TV's live stream to give you a much more meaningful feeling of the event. I also added footage of the crew for your hearts to enjoy.
These men and women put their lives at risk to advance knowledge of science and space for all of humanity. We remember them today and honor their services and sacrifices.
NASA and the astronauts’ families have collaborated to create a new, permanent memorial designed to honor the crews of Challenger's STS-51L and Columbia's STS-107 missions, pay tribute to the spacecraft and emphasize the importance of learning from the past. “Forever Remembered” opened June 27, 2015, at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida, where it tells the story of NASA's 30-year Space Shuttle Program throughout the Space Shuttle Atlantis exhibit.

It was hard to believe that it had happened again. The shuttle was trying to solve a lot of problems at once which created a lot of problems in complexity. I'm a bit worried about the tiles on Starship too. Stainless steel is good at high temperatures, but it's not a good conductor of heat, so if a tile falls off, the heat will stay there heating up the stainless rapidly. It's going to be interesting to see what happens with that. Thanks for the video. I bet it's a punch to the gut to you when an accident happens. It's pretty amazing that so many people have been to space and back so far and lived. Would you go up there Gus?

      Hey Nathan! 😀
It is pretty amazing I believe the percentage is about 0.03% in total for a failure of spaceflight with crew. Let's pray that noone forgets our losses. I would definitely go up, but my choice would be a Dragon capsule right now! Haha! Hopefully that will change in a few years when we'll have Starliner, Starship, Orion, and perhaps a modified New Sheppard capsule. The future looks exciting to say the least. 🤞🤞
