    That hole at the end, that has a bigger hole than the screw provided is actually for the factory clip. Theoretically, that hole should line up with the factory hole of the skid plate and bumper, and you can use the factory clip to secure all. That is why you are also short on screws.

    I just installed mine, thanks for your guidance, you saved me hundreds from having someone else install it. Although, even after careful placement and propping up the front lip to help meet height, I still wan't able to get it flush on both sides, it still looks great though.

    • @XxLIVExX24
      @XxLIVExX24 Před 3 lety +1

      The same one you got, carbon fiber print. I am guessing I didn’t dry fit it enough. I was having such a hard time doing the dry fit, I found it was just easier to just apply the tape for dry fitting. While doing so, I noticed the lip needed to be stretched out on both sides for both sides to properly be flush. But it was bard for it to hold in place that way so I just like it compress a little and that is why one of my sides is like 1/2 in h from flush. Still unnoticeable Looking at it 6 ft away.

      Chad was under the impression that HiRev will be of much higher quality. Unless it’s an expensive part from Japan or Euro, most of these parts are sourced from a few same suppliers from China. I do buy parts from eBay. I figured, they’re so inexpensive, I can just throw them away if I dont like it. Most recently, I purchased a $42 roof spoiler made of PU. Not knowing it’s a flimsy material, I decided not to use it and get another one made from ABS material. I dont want to return the PU, because return shipping was going to be $22..lmao
      Chad - thanks for warning us about what not to do, especially the pushpins.

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  Před 3 lety +3

      We get plenty of snow here in New England. With the car lowered an inch I do end up scraping the bottom of the spoiler on inclines. I also need to be careful not to run into parking curbs. It is a challenge trying to keep it from getting damaged. With that said, it’s been a year and it hasn’t worn well. I’m releasing a video this weekend in which I’m replacing it with something much cheaper and more durable 👍

    My 2018 Accord 1.5T just had a fuel injector fail at 58k error code P0172 (posted on my channel). Modern Honda look amazing but once the 3yr/36k warranty expires you're on your own and you have no idea how expensive modern Honda engines are to fix. Oil changed at 80%, Shell regular used 80% of the time, always did warm up the car in the winter. Dealer so out of touch they recommended brake fluid replacement at 30k. I've never seen this part fail in ANY of my past cars. When asked why the injector failed so early Dealer said they see them all the time and cost of replacement is $1600-$2500 (must replace all 4) and the new injectors warranty is only for 12k/12mos! I was in love and bought the 1st Accord on the lot with series ending in -0001 but when I made a case with Honda to see if it could be part of a bad batch all I got was crickets from Cust service and VM of the case manager for weeks on end. I fell for all the influencers stating the Accord was the best in it's class.

    Good video, sorry you got a crappy product. Can you do one on how to remove and paint the chrome upper part by the Honda emblem on the bumper? I see yours is already black but mine is chrome and it’s bugging me.

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  Před 4 lety +1

      That was one of the first things I did when getting the car, change to the Honda OEM black chrome trim (unfortunately, I did not do a video on the install). If I were to do it again, I wouldn't have paid for a new piece, but rather applied a matching black vinyl as a "chrome delete". There are a handful of companies out there that offer the vinyl kit to make this change.

      S fabricator. I had this and that flare on the ends of the lips Really bothered me after a while( like in my picture). It’s pricier but it’s cleaner look for me. However being that it is of exceptional quality. It’s heavier. But it does come with everything this needs to be install. Nuts and bolts. One solid piece. I’ve had installed for 3 months and I drive like a mad man. 🤘

    Even super expensive high end full body kits have imperfections. I have never seen one that didn't need some kind of body work. Its because of the molds they use and the mass amounts they make, they just don't care. But its ok in my opinion. If you really want a Sema show car, then put some work into the pieces and they will be perfect. But for your everyday driver, who cares
