- "YOU TAKE TOO MUCH, YOU TAKE TOO MUCH! " Only time I have ever been yelled at when eating in a restaurant. How many pounds of food can I eat in 30 minutes is the theme of this video.
For context I spoke with a man claiming to be an owner of this restaurant and had a very detailed conversation with him. I told him I didn't understand what this was all about as I had filmed there previously and the workers were supportive and even thanked me for coming to film there. Their Facebook has multiple comments thanking me and welcoming me back. This gentlemen said he would look into it as that worker was off that day but would be in the next day. He said he would call me back tomorrow. I waited over two weeks for this return call and I have still not heard back.
I do not know if this was a situation of one worker just having a bad day but as you can tell from the banging of dishes something was going on.
I wish them all of the success they deserve and hope their store gets franchised and becomes the Walmart of buffets. But since this is an hour away from my house and I have numerous other choices, I don't see myself eating here again.

CLARIFICATION OF SOME ITEMS
1) I try to be a positive person and see the glass as half full, and I can a lot of the time. So when I say I am a full time CZcamsr, it is because I was laid off from my IT job on 7/30/2021. I filmed this on 8/3 which was the 2nd work day that I didn't have my IT job. So as opposed to being negative and thinking "I have no job", I spun it to "I am a full time CZcamsr!". While I do make $ on YT, there is zero chance I can support a lifestyle with that $. BUT that is now, maybe it will change in the future! I am however being sensible and looking for a "normal" day job.
2) The description of this video has some added details about me talking with the owner. It is all good, just not a place for me to continue to visit. No harm, no foul.
3) Businesses usually love when CZcamsrs with a decent sized following record. Many times the YTer is paid to record and gets the food for free. I was not in this video and I paid for the food. It is viewed as an advertisement for them. This was an employee that had an issue, not the restaurant owners.
4) Many people have concerns with "you ate too much" "you should pay more"... I am not doing this in my personal life. I only do this in videos where the restaurant gets their advertising. In my personal life I have absolutely eaten more than the average person at buffets (not 10 lbs worth). That is how I found out I could eat more than other people. That said, many, many, many times I took my family to a buffet (wife + 3 children). Those four were all vegetarians. They ate no animals at all. No cow, pork, chicken, seafood not even gelatin or marshmallows. I would pay 5 full price meals (not kids meals) at the buffet and watch them eat salad, mac and cheese, pizza...while I ate from the other 95% of the buffet that had meat on it. The buffets loved to see us come in. One time it was $40 x 4 = $160 for their food which may have cost $12-$15 tops. Knowing that, the people that think I should pay for 2 or 3 buffet meals when I film, do you also think I should ask for a refund when I take my family for mac and cheese at a seafood buffet?
5) Lastly why are you even reading this far down LOL. Life is too short to worry about things like this. Do something fun. Go be with your family or friends or take a walk or read a book. We are all blessed to have waken up another day. Let's make the most of it. Let's "Stack some Wins" today!
This was an interesting video as there is always a first for everything. But I wish them no ill will and all the success in the world. I have a lot of other options to film at and I will be exploring those places instead. Enjoy the rest of your day.

I can only imagine what you have to go through at an all you can eat restaurant! Twenty years ago I was at a Chinese buffet in North Myrtle Beach and an old woman comes out of the kitchen and says " You go home now!" repeatedly. I was on my fifth plate and was going to leave but then I had to eat a few more. LOL

Christ that sushi chef sounds like a sad act, it’s probably the second time he shouted “you take too much” that day after his recently ex-partner took more than 50% of his belongings. You’re a legend BOB, many better places to eat.

you have to consider though sushi is more of an art, it's not a food you eat lots of until you're full it's usually given in small servings and respected more of an artful thing. Sushi is difficult to make and prawns/shrimp take a long time to prepare you have to de-vein all the shrimp and remove shells which take a long time. Also shrimp are expensive, sushi try buy the best quality ingredients so when you eat a lot it's like a big loss to them since they're paying for the best quality ingredients usually at a higher price not expecting to serve large portions of it. The sushi chef just basically said what every chef thinks when a competitive eater comes into their restaurant, the chef could've just not said anything and kept his thoughts to himself to be polite but basically he just said what every chef is thinking. As a chef myself you never want to have a lot of food to prepare you always hope for an easy day

This type of sushi is not an art in any since of the word. Unless it's from Iron chef Masaharu Morimoto it's anything but art. And trust me. The crap they use is frozen and pre deveined. Get a clue. You honestly think someone with 9 years of training to be a true sushi master is going to be working at your local shit hole in the wall Chinese buffet? He's just mad because he's making 10 dollars an hour and actually has to work. Get it straight. Plus its 90 percent rice. If that's expensive to make then I need to go back to the store and get my money back for that 3 lb bag of rice that costs 2.50

Wow, after all the good experiences here that we've had that's so shocking! And after only 7 or 8 pieces. That's barely over one normal roll. I'd understand more if you had two full plates full, or even after coming back for another round. It's a buffet. Period. They should expect to run into a few people that can eat more than your average person. Either way, great video as always. And if you ever want to head up to Teppenyaki with me, just let me know! I'd love to show you the place, it was amazing when I went.

It's impressive to see how much you eat in one sitting. I was much bigger than you in the past and I ate a lot. Like 30-35 hot dogs with bread in one day. Nowadays I'm skinny/normal and very healthy but I really appreciate your videos Bob. Not that amount in that time. Once I am over 20 lbs of good it becomes a little work. Also the less time to eat it would wear out my jaw. This was easy peasy, bit of course I have been doing this for 20 years

I do hope that before you left that restaurant you mentioned to the manager what had happened and at over 130,000 subscribers will probably see this video and hear about the taking too much food that's BS because you paid the amount they asked but how many people come in there and, only eat two or three percent of the food that they're being charged for being all you can eat. I just retired out of the food business I was a chef any meat market manager for over 45 years so I know the food business. If that was my place I would be glad you came in and videoed it and I would make it that you really liked the place'cause all I'm gonna be doing is making money on it. I don't get these people that open an AYCE restaurant and then complain when people take advantage of it. You'd think with all the money at risk of doing that they'd do some statistical analysis and set prices that accounts for the occassional extreme ends of the bell curve that show up.
or you could be decent and tell them you are going to eat a lot of food and pay a bit extra. That is what I would do rather than take advantage. But I guess some people think taking advantage is okay if you can get away with it.
Your exactly correct. If it wasn't that way they'd be out of business. I like buffets solely for the variety and I don't have someone bothering me every 2 minutes so they can try and earn a bigger tip

I always eat as much as i want. But i can only eat what i would consider a regular amount. However at a local chinese restaurant about 12 years ago, i was told i had to pay 2$ more because i had eaten to much ketchup. I swear this is the truth, i used maybe 4 of the little to go sauce cups. Ive never eaten there since, and the restaurant is still open. Its also a very good place to eat also. Kinda sucks

That happened to me twice. I was kicked out of a place once. They told us we ate to much and to leave lol. The second time was a little weird. I was at a Chinese buffet for a late lunch. We were there about an hour and they changed from the lunch price to the supper price. I didn’t pay any attention but they had put out crab legs. I grabbed a little of the seafood thinking I was good since I was already there and eating. Nope the guy comes to the table and said I took dinner only items and would be billed the 3.00 extra. So I proceeded to stay for another hour and eating all the crab legs and shrimp I could. Guy was probably sorry he charged me for the dinner lol. Glad your a full time tuber now Bob, congratulations!
