  • This footswitch design was driven by the difficulty in getting the Marshall Pedal 91016 (6 button footswitch), which is largely on backorder. This custom built footswitch is functionally similar to the 91016, but uses the MIDI IN on the back of the amplifier. The design is simple and uses an Aduino Uno (or clone) to read switches, update LEDs and send the MIDI commands. In addition, the latest code version saves the state of the master select and effects loop for each of the four input channels. This will keep the footswitch synchronized with your amp, even after a power cycle.
The Arduino board used here is available on Ebay for DIYers.

    Impressive Kevin!
Is this something that a diy pedal maker like me could do without Aduino programming knowledge?

Yes! I can send you a pre-programmed Arduino Uno (clone) and you just need to wire up the rest. I understand that many people are not familiar with the programming side.

Thank you! How do we make that happen?

@@maorienteg Do you buy on Ebay? It might be easiest with shipping and all. I can list it for $20 + shipping (~$4) if that works for you. Or you can send me an Arduino Uno with a shipping label and I can program it for you.

      Thank you Kevin!!!
