I pre-mix gas for 2-strokes most of the times. When I have to fill up in gas station, I add the 2-stroke oil first, then I fill up the gas, it mixes with the oil while pouring it in at least mostly. The rest of the shaking will come from riding around
My 2 stroke is 27 yrs old. Uts running beautifully. I just dump the oil in the tank and them fill gas. None of this retardation is needed. I dont use the oil reservoir or the oil pump because ita too risky if it stops working.
For those saying that there's no oil. Look a little bit closer, check for a little black puddle more towards the front wheel. Because it wasn't there moments before.

I don't understand why these dudes don't throw half a gallon in, dump the oil, then fill the rest of the way. It probably mixes better that way and you aren't gonna have any issues with your plugs.
The easiest way to do it is to premix it in a fuel container then add to the tank. If you cant be bothered to do that then when you get to the pump add a little fuel, dump in the mix then fill the tank, it will mix as its filling.
I just hold my front brake and slam the forks all the down to the bottom of my shocks like 8 or 12 times,but its only when I start it cause the oil settles from the bike sitting.I mix my gas in a 5 gallon gas tank before I pour it.

@@sameoleclift than youre putting too much oil in if youre having fouling issues. Plus, a smoker iwner should always have spare plugs on hand. Brap it on idle to burn off any buildup or gunk and the oil measure cup for smokers is ideal.
if there's enough space in the tank to add a gallon of gas or so, the swirling motion of the gas shooting in will mix the oil far better than just wobbling the bike a few times or flipping it upside down and loosing gas out the breather.
That way of mixing it is the way of making struggle food😂 i’ve actually seen some gas stations that are pacifically meant for those bikes that automatically mix the gas for you then pour it in
If any unmixed gas gets to the cylinder it will sieze the motor. If you are doing it like this, fill the tank half way then add 8oz of oil (32:1 - 4oz per gallon - tank is 1.9 gallons) then shake it a bit then fill up the tank and shake it again.

The thing with 2-strokes is that the exhaust doesn't get hot while idling, it's just slightly warm. It's hot only when you're ripping it.
