Depending on the city, even before "quiet hours" you can still have the cops called on you if you're being ridiculously loud, especially if it intrudes upon the peace in a private residence. I believe it's if the noise is above a certain decibel more than 100' away from the source, ie a speaker.
Someone in our neighborhood had the cops called on him by multiple people in the middle of the day on Memorial Day because he was throwing a rager of a pool party with the music cranked so loud that it was literally rattling windows and could be clearly heard inside everyone else's homes. At that point it's just stupid.

So many of these kids are disrespectful. Obviously, their parents didn't teach them manners or how to respect others. We are going to have a whole generation of people who think they are entitled to everything they want. Most will have a hard time holding down jobs, because when their bosses tell them what to do they either won't do it or will quit. I worked with some young people who were temps, we spent most days having no clue where they were at. Once I found a guy hiding behind stacks of product in a backroom on his cell phone. I told him, if I have to work so do you, if you don't like that you can leave. They fired him.

She has no appreciable voice. This is why I parent with my ears open. I'd hate to disappoint her in the way this parent did... She looks to me to show her the way, she follows along behind me because there is nowhere else for her to go. I take that privilege and that responsibility very seriously.
