Federer won on all possibillities. (Hard court, Red Clay and Blue Clay.)
blue clay is special
It went, hard court, blue clay, clay. Sick
Funny that Nadal won the hardcourt version before Federer and Federer won the claycourt version before Nadal...
@Kristo Veeroja and nadal would have fucked federar's ass hard in the final.vamos rafa
@@sureshrainamousi4581 LMAO Fed would've won just like he won Miami against him that year, and Madrid was an even faster surface.
@@replicantona head to head.nadal always fucked federar in all surface.remember wimbledon 2008 final. which surface federar's favourate surface grass.vamos rafa
@@sureshrainamousi4581 indoor hardcourts mean Nadal sucks there
@@menon_ji4984 nadal beat federar in australian open final 2009 . Which court hard court.vamos rafa.3 time us open champion.which court hard court.nadal is the man for all surface.vamos rafa.
_Sucks for Theim to make it, to the finals twice and losing both._
Its such a shame that there is no MASTERS SERIES 1000 for grass 😢
True dat. It would be a very good experience for the tour. Hope ATP realizes that one day
Ramiro Sánchez I thought the plan for 2021 was to either make, or change a 500 to be a masters 1000? Unless I’m mistaken
@@sureshrainamousi4581 frustrated Rafatard. He can't even win in clay let alone grass and hard.
@Berk Arslan 2008 is 12 years ago. Lot have been changed since then, biggest change is Novak.
@Berk Arslan Court Speed Change occurred in 2000 not after 2008. Federer wouldn't have won Wimbledon with faster courts of 90s. So don't be salty. Nadal still doesn't know how to play in faster conditions.
That blue clay looked gorgeous, too bad some players complained immediately.
It was amazing to look at! I think players need to stop whining and adapt! They are pros after all
You said it because Federer won, right? 😂😂
@@tennisraduNope; I said it cause I love that blue clay.
Read the reports first and then judge. It may look beautiful but was it safe for players to year after year participate on it. If you watched the highlights, you would see players slipping too much on it. There was even a mention by the people who made it that there were some unexpected side effects. The surface should have been thoroughly tested first in smaller tournaments and such first. Yes players can complain but that doesn’t mean that there was no merit to it. A few mentioned that the surface might as well be grass and needed their grass court sneakers for it.
Furthermore the surface might as well be a warmup for Wimbledon if that were the case. Which would mean it should be played after the French, not before.
@@JiraiyaSama86 Madrid's clay was always suspect. Players complained about it from the advent of the switch to clay. Had they remedied the clay consistency/quality so that the tournament played more like the rest of the Spring Clay swing first, the switch to blue clay would have been inconsequential, and maybe even celebrated. The tournament organizers jumped the gun, unfortunately.
Nalbandian, the best backhand ever.
Quite possibly the best two hander Yes! In terms of pure shot making that is... Not the best defensive wise but for offence, he could do anything with it.
We still miss him.
That 2010 championship point is brutal...
Never knew Nadal won it when it was a hard court masters. 5 for Rafa (1 on hard), 3 for Roger (1 hard), 2 for Murray (last 1 on hard) and 2 for Djokovic.
that match against Ivan was incredible. One of my favorite matches
I actually remember that match very well. Was way back when Madrid was towards the end of the year. Was indoors if I’m not mistaken. Anyway Ivan had the match but somehow collapsed mentally it seems, and found a way to lose. That’s how I remember it anyway. Still fair play to Rafa as he hung in there and got it in the end.
First and only indoor major title Nadal has won.
Good video I like your videos let’s go roger you are the best
Why did they change the blue clay?? 😒
It was very beautiful
Because Djokovic and Nadal didnt like it :(
Nicolás Massú lost final 2003 and Fernando González in 2006. Both players tennis Chileans.
Explain that trophy tho.
it's a coat hanger.
@@vanshagarwal2362 it's a gun rack

Nalbandian the Best!!!!! 🇦🇷
VAMOS Rafa
This time for Thiem🌟
Looks like zverev is gonna tank in points lost😂
Gillou, nooo...
now îț îs Thiem time
Oh David at his best, beating Nadal, Djokovic, and Roger in same tournament
Shanghai is the replacement of the hardcourt Madrid, current clay Madrid is the replacement of Hamburg. ATP you have emerged two different tournaments in the video, what a fucking comedy.
Zverev better get his stuff together or hi ranking could take a major hit after Madrid.
I bet $1000 he is not gonna reach SF.
0:16 Massu ;(
Who designed this trophy lmao
*3:11** that's one ugly trophy, the person that came up with that Idea needs to be thrown in jail.*
jason4275 its really cool and unique
It's interesting to see that *NO ONE* has been able to defend Madrid title (not counting Nadal 2014; that was luck)
it's just a weird tournament
Luck? He got injured in other matches too, this doesn't mean the opponent didn't deserve the win
roter13 it was weird due to the effects that the altitude had on it. It plays notably different to a degree compared to the other clay courts warmup tournaments. I believe someone mentioned that hard court specialists would feel almost at home here.

Fourth comment omg!!
