I built the first platinum green home in the U.S. and was built back in 2003. The house structure is 100 percent styrofoam and after the final SABsCrete is applied the house has a strength of 250 lbs per square inch in strength. Non flammable and none porous and has an energy efficient rating of of R180…four times more efficient than a stick home. It registered in Scottsdale as platinum green home and has been visited by Mary Manross( major of Scottsdale in 2005) and the Premier of Turkey, who cut the ribbon on the house. It been in national TV three times. The most amazing house I’ve ever owned and structurally amazing and it is highlighted with ASU structural engineering class and Wellington Ritter, who is the Dean of Architecture has visited the home……. Scottsdale Mountain area.

I sold a home in North Scottsdale that was a styofoam built home. The seller was an amazing man & I learn a lot about the strength & energy efficiency of styofoam from him. It was a harder home to sell because people did't understand it... but the person that ended up buying it was very happy!

Camelback Mountain is much more in Phoenix than Paradise Valley.

I know the entire valley and most new developments are gated with sadistic homeowners association guidelines. The water rights removal for these locations will leave these properties worthless...😂😂😂go ahead and buy them..

I thought the wealthy in Phoenix were in Fountain Hills.

That $75,000,000 "listing" is giving off those "shady developer that lures in investors, only to get part-way through the build before he ghosts everyone, and goes into Chapter 11 to weasel his way out of accountability" type vibes.
Plus, it's a really bad idea to be building gigantic homes like these anyway. Especially given the current global economy, and the rising tensions between the Have's and the Have Not's.
But I suppose the vast majority of luxury properties are just another way for wealth to be shuffled around, and not so much about building a home in a community that you actually care about, and want to improve the quality of life for as many people (who also live in that area with you) as you could otherwise.

I don't even own a home, and I know better than to shop at Costco or watch Hollywood movies (the driver of this sh!tty, shallow consumer culture). I also live better than royalty centuries ago. These houses are so unnecessary, and I can't help but think people with this much money interested in purchasing these are most likely spiritually deprived with a juvenile consumer mentality. If you need 15 fancy cars to excite you, you're not living, IMO. Additionally, why would someone want to look down a runway? Doesn't that mean loud, polluting planes are flying over the indoor/outdoor living house?
I suppose my thinking may have something to do with my wealthy parents working hard to build the mansion of their dreams, only to succumb to disease and die in their 40s and 50s (Costco shopping). No one escapes the great equalizer no matter their zip code. Thanks for the eye candy, though. That was plenty.

In some parts of the world having a 2 car garage and 2 new cars is like owning 15 cars in a 15 car garage here. Everything is relative.

@@GrumpyCat-mw5xl If there are 2 working adults in a household, having 2 cars and a 2 car garage makes sense.
Having 15 fancy cars is incredibly excessive. Should they be allowed to be excessive? Sure. Are they likely spiritually deprived? Absolutely. If they get a terminal illness, are they going to continue to enjoy those cars? No
