How exciting would life be if you already knew what to expect? Taking experiences from improv theatre, Jonah Yoelin describes how spontaneity impacts our lives. By growing more comfortable with uncertainty in life and appreciating the unexpected and unplanned things we encounter every day, everyone can surprise themselves by being more spontaneous. Jonah Yoelin was born in Gresham, Oregon in 1999, and moved to Nevada in 2005. Growing up, he was heavily immersed in the arts. As a painter, jazz guitarist, and actor, Jonah has enjoyed art his entire life, but has also been fascinated with business and entrepreneurship. This led to his choice to attend the University of Nevada, Reno to obtain a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a major in Marketing. He hopes to use the skills he’s learned in business school to bring a new essence of collaboration to the worlds of art and business. I think I say I like religion and psychology because I am looking for confidence to understand others. I am internally anxious and I am a contradiction. I am not very extroverted like I thought. I can be pretty spontaneous so I write this spontaneously as well. There are times I feel insecure of watching joyful people. I want to be surrounded by kind people. By loving and graceful people. People that will counsel me to be better and love me better. People who are joyful.
