    I am very impressed with their service! I recently bought a bag and it only took a day or two for them to authenticate and the item was shipped the same day! It came well-packaged, with eBay authenticity tags and they even provided their own dust bag embroidered with the name of their company even though the item came with its own dust bag. Overall a very pleasant experience shopping at eBay!

    I have been so impressed with their service. While its a bummer you didnt get the bag, its an example of great service for sure. I hope they are able to maintain this high level of service as the program scales.

      Yes I agree! I would rather them stop me from getting the bag so I don’t have to deal with it. Let’s hope that the service continues at a high level! 🤞🏻

    I would willingly wait the extra time to have the safety. I have bought quite a few luxury items on eBay but I stopped trusting the sellers. This changes things though. Much more interested in them again! Thank you for the video!

    Sounds like it would also be good protection as seller - the buyer can't then argue that it was a fake or try to return you something else.

    I love eBay and have been both a seller and consumer of luxury goods since 2012.
    They’re probably competing with Poshmark and bigger names like Sotheby’s. I feel their authentication services will bring more potential customers.

    Hi, so I am hoping you could help answer a question concerning eBay and the possibility of a buyer to have an outside Authenticity company to do a double check while the bag is still at eBay . IF not, can i have it done after i receive it and then if not, get a return accepted by eBay even if seller doesn’t accept returns? Also, besides looking to see if the bag is authentic, do they really thoroughly check to see if its in new condition as claimed by a seller? And finally, which outside authenticity company do you have the most faith in?

    I think it's a great idea. And it's good to hear your story of something that didn't pass the authentication service, as it shows it works. I guess my question would be about what happens if the authentication I get done whenever I buy preloved (e.g Zeko for Chanel, and Bababebi for Hermes) said the bag was a fake, what my 'comeback' would be, if ebay had said it was real (and the seller didn't accept returns).

    • @bargain.hunting.blonde
      @bargain.hunting.blonde  Před 11 měsíci +1

      That I am not sure. But from past experiences (before this new authentication service) paperwork from the authentication service was enough for eBay to side with me as the buyer and allow me to return the item even with no returns accepted. It just might be a bit more of a fight here.

    Your video was very informative, thank you! My situation is I inherited an orange Hermes bag. It’s been out of the box a couple times but other than that it’s perfect. I was wondering if you could give me any suggestions on the best way to sell it. I do have a small eBay store but have never sold anything close to this high end before.
    I’m going to subscribe and look for more of your videos to see if I can find the answers to my questions. Thanks again!

    • @bargain.hunting.blonde

      I would say step 1 is have it authenticated and if you decide to sell it yourself the certificate of authenticity will help a lot. It’s normally between $30-$50 because it’s an Hermes bag. From there you can sell it’s yourself on eBay or Poshmark but I personally sell my bags through services like fashionphile. They take a cut but then I don’t have to deal with all the fraud out there.

      @@bargain.hunting.blonde I’d prefer to send it to the best possible place for authentication. The cost isn’t really an issue since I received it for free. Does Hermes authenticate? Thank you for your time! I’m fairly ignorant when it comes to these type of items so you’ve been a big help to me.

    I’m new to your channel and I’m so glad to have found you. I am hoping you might advise me on something with eBay. I am disabled and have never had a chance to visit high end boutiques. I bought a handbag from real real and it was misrepresented. I haven’t used it except once, as it is physically painful to me in my condition. I have wanted a Certain Chanel handbag for 3 yrs. I found one on eBay advertised as new in box, but I can’t know if there are flaws and the seller doesn’t allow returns. It is under eBay authentication, does that cover a flaw I may find? What happens if I find an issue not picked up on by eBay? Thanks so much

    • @bargain.hunting.blonde
      @bargain.hunting.blonde  Před měsícem +1

      eBay authentication reviews the bag before you get it- so if there was a flaw in the description or with authenticity they would catch it (or at least that’s my experience). If you did get an item that has an issue in general you can return a non returnable item if it’s not as described. You open that case with eBay and correspond with the seller that way. I have never had a return not get approved but I could see that happening if they do not think it’s a flaw.

    I am an eBay seller. I don’t sell luxury items very often. Recently i listed a few pairs of Vans. when i filled out the shipping section for the listing eBay overrode my details and set it to eBay authentication. I did not have a choice. I knew they did this with athletic shoes over $100 but these are in the $75 to $85 range. They are going to send me a fed ex label for me to send the package to them and then they will send on to the customer. When i have Listed luxury items this did not happen to the listing and i do not recall it being an option. Sounds very easy on my part and i dont have to purchase a shipping label. Athletic shoes and luxury items may go to different facilities but i am thinking they probably work the same way.

    • @bargain.hunting.blonde
      @bargain.hunting.blonde  Před 11 měsíci

      I think your right the process will likely be very similar! Did they take a percentage of the sale for the authentication service?

    • @lienecarter6411
      @lienecarter6411 Před 11 měsíci

      @@bargain.hunting.blonde I haven’t sold one of these items yet. This just came up on a few listings this week. We pay a percentage of the sale including shipping and taxes so if they are charging the buyer for the service then possibly yes.

She has already sold two designer purses directly to consumers without any questions from EBAY. I like the authentication process so can you tell us how to join? Thanks in advance.

    • @bargain.hunting.blonde
      @bargain.hunting.blonde  Před 11 měsíci

      I did not have to pay a customs fee with the eBay authentication process. Normally customs are a percentage of the cost of the item (about 10%) if importing into the US.

    I have a buyer returning a gold chain because she says the clasp doesnt work properly. This chain went through the authenticator process and passed. If they do such a good job, why didn't they catch the clasp issue? It was fine when I shipped it. I dont accept returns but now I'm forced to give a refund because the buyer claims the item was misrepresented even though ebays authent8ctors didn't find any issue, that I'm aware of. What a scam!

    There's a post on Reddit by an eBay seller. She sold a luxury bag with RCT, dustbag etc. It goes to be authenticated, it passes & is forwarded to the buyer.
    Buyer then decided they wanted to return the item. Reason for return was BUYER FELT BAG WAS FAKE (no I'm not joking, I wish I was/ just tried to find the Reddit post to include a screenshot, can't find it) So eBay allowed the return, on a bag they just authenticated, for the reason that buyer feels it is not authentic !
    FFS someone please help me make sense of this utter lunacy!!
    The seller is beyond confused & prob tearing her hair out , poor girl.
    I am speechless. eBay you need to do better than this!!!
