The effort put into artificially aging the kart is magnificent.

I mean, every time I see one of those kind of videos I have the same doubt, but not having a kart, I can't judge.
@@gufo_tave I'm a car mechanic, that shi isn't rusted whatsoever, it's paint was completely okay u can literally read clearly the writing on the kart, that shi ain't rusted
Grass growing under the tarp, not one leaf, no puddles of water, or bit of dirt on anything except the kart. I have no doubt it had been neglected, but playing it up wasn’t necessary, IMO.

would love it if you would make in depth video series about how you restore these things, what chemicals you use and how to prep surfaces and stuff like that, i just restored my own kart and it came out nothing like this, great work!
He doesn’t really restore, he just cleans
Love these videos man, would be nice to have some text captions in the video of what liquids/products you use and the purpose of them, just a short text description or something. (I wondered what the green stuff on the bar was, i would guess rust converter, but would be nice to see what you use.)
I believe it is bluing fluid, typically used on some guns along with oil to help prevent rust and the like.
@@Drifterdan1 It is, i researced it, but still would be nice to know why it's used, what the effect is and the used brand. with also all cleaning products. Just a bit more in depth with text.
This is the best restoration video I’ve seen in a long time. I absolutely love this! It’s very relaxing and just top-notch …thank you.
Tip: Steel bolts in aluminum parts are easier/better to remove if you give them a hit with a hammer especially when they're rusted, this makes them easier to remove, but more impotently prevents the aluminum from cracking or tears. Some WD40 also helps! (you might already know this but, there you go)
reused brake pads.... bearings, gaskets, piston rings, the piston.... i'm crying. For the rest of the work in the go kart, like, cleaning, sandblasting and paiting, good job.
And I’ve never seen a brake caliper piston fall into place like that before either 😆

Damn these bolts get lose really easy with all the rust going on around. Amazing how only the boltheads seem rusted.

I'm not sure, but you should've 3d printed or tried to find online those gaskets on carburator instead of reusing the old ones.

I disagree you wouldn't be able to get that kart to look that new, just "cleaning" it all the paint was restored to new .....close enough for me.

Good work for the side of restoration, but very bad job, for mechanic side of the cart, brakes etc... every mechanic crying.😢
Not one leaf, a drop of water or a bit of dirt on that tarp. The restoration is nice, but that setup wasn’t necessary and only took away from the rest of the video.
