#MASTERSOFWOOD - Jak na to + styl
Came here from Matt's channel. Really appreciate that this was WAY different than what Matt is used to! But both Matt and April are awesome! Kudos you two!
The two of you are great fun to watch.
It is such a treat to watch miss April work. Thanks for all you do.
Awesome video, loved the fun you had together.
... Happy new owner of a Triton MOF001... now to start planning a table to mount it to,
I love April's thought that Matt would be bothered by the warped board.
I also really love this type of design with the slanted shelves. Such a good use of space. I made something similar as a wall sized spice rack for a cook, where as long as you wrote the name of the spice on the jar lids, you knew what everything was, but it used way less space this way. I did angled dados instead of pocket holes and hung with a french cleat though; but for a shop project the quick efficient way prevails. Great work y'all!
Fractions and lumber, yes !! Love the video !!
LOL :D I love to watch you working, but when you are working together... Double fun :D great video, greetings from the Slovakia, Europe 8-)
I can just see it now . . Matt Cremona drilling pocket holes into everything that is within his reach !
Matt you’re a craftsman don’t sell out, you work is on a different level to this...
Forget all the haters April. Great Job as always! :)
Thank you for having so many videos with captions!
Nice job as always!!!!
Way to go Matt! Your first pocket hole! Well done April and Matt! Great project! You guys look like you had a lot of fun!
When will the SketchUp file be available?
Hello Ryan, you can download it via the link in the description.
@@Tritonwoodwork Thanks, if on a mobile device the links do not display unless you "request desktop" version.
I love April's workshop, it was a lot of fun watching it all come together over the last few months
April how well does the Saw stop dust collection work on the over head arm? I see saw dust on the table top a lot in fact, I suspect that the DC was left off form the videoing of this.
April is a very practical “builder” of things - Matt is a “woodworker”. There’s an overlap, but not the same thing, so this video makes sense.
April is sooooooo beautiful!!! And talented, to boot!!!
I went to elementary school!!! That was funny
I love these 2 together.
And you thought you would never use the math and algebra after you graduated High School. LOL Greetings from S.E. GA. Great project and video. Keep the videos coming.
Thank you for the video you did a very good job.see u later april bye.
This was a good collaboration. You worked well together. And fractions suck. In my shop, feet, inches, half and quarter are sometimes used but anything of precision is metric.
Cannot find the plans for this. Also, just curious how Triton Tools feels about the recent Armor Tool pocket hole jig she is currently using. Is she no longer a brand ambassador?
Please tell me you guys worked on another project together for you own channels as well.
I got to ask why the walls are covered with plywood ? Did the building /fire code code sign off on it because I always thought you needed to use Sheetrock on walls . Maybe just in my state I don’t know .
i just love your videos, been watching a long time. i am very proud that you have come SO far and love your new shop! however since yeti no longer supports the nra youth sports shooting program i can no longer support them! good luck and go girl!might want to keep that sign hid tho.
Cool vid i think I’m going to make it now !!!!!
2 of the best youtube woodworkers - Triton you picked some good "Brand Ambassadors"
What a fun video! Not only learning how to make a great storage solution but their interactions made the video even better! Great call Triton on these two great Brand Champions! You knocked it out of the ballpark!
Great show. Loved the interaction be tween you too
great job
Cool and simple
Awesome video! 👍👊 ... great job April and Matt! 😃👍👍👊👊 Seems like you guys had a lot of fun!
thanks Fred!
The unintentional comedy is gold haha ☺️
Pocked holes are so damn useful. In a month ill get my first house and the entire basement (and garage?) will be for building stuff. Im sure ill learn to glue stuff and make rabbits and all the other pro stuff 😜
What's behind the plywood on the wall? I got concrete block walls in the basement and i cant block moist in between yet i want something i can screw and nail without thinking much... :) Plywood can be replaced!
Behind the plywood in April's shop? It's just regular stick framing and insulation. She has a whole series of videos about building her shop which are excellent and I highly recommend (they're what got me hooked on her channel!)
They need to start a new channel together: Extremely Awkward Woodworking
that would be really great :) I'd say we'd all do nothing all day but watch that channel :-))))
It was odd seeing April being awkward. It might've been part of the sponsorship agreement... I guess.
I felt like I was watching my sister on her first date.
What did he answer at 4:27 about the fractions? Double the?
i followed the link for the sketch plans but couldn't find it.
Doesn't the pocket holes fill up with dust if you have them on top, or do I miss something? Anyhow, it was an entertaing video! 👍
thank you .
April, maybe you should also look at the French cleat method. You may find this very useful your workshop.
Am I the only one that noticed like every screw was sticking out the side of the cabinet? So were the screws too long? Or the pocket holes misplaced?
nothing an angle grinder can't fix :)
Hi April..love your videos..where can I buy the Triton pocket hole tool..?
How about triton.com?????
It seems you and matt cremona had some fun on this project
Matt was thinking...."It would look better with shelves of Maple crotch live edge boards"
fantastica!
Matt will probably need to go to confession for working with dimensional lumber and not home sawn slabs. :-) Great job you two!
probably a good idea
@@mcremona Not to mention the pocket holes.
@@RossWilliamsDC what pocket holes? ;)
and for getting very noticable WOOD
need more crotch in it
5 out of 4 people have problems with fractions.
Ha ha ha ha.... Hey I resemble that remark!
The metric system--for those who need all 10 fingers to do math. :)
@@tzkelley that is why medicine went to metric rather than appocathary
BOL, Funny!!!! :)
With the kind of stuff that April works through - quickly and well - I was thought she was joking about the fractions ! It's amazing how differently minds work.
Why are there nine sixteen ounce containers of Titebond 3 on the shelves?
I'm your big fan~★
I like to have things visible without objects in front of them too. My kind of shelves. 👌👌
be patient with the new guy, I think he has potential
Why didn't you use your french cleat system? That way you could change it as time goes on!
i love april
Where are Triton tools available in the US?
Hello Frank, via this link you can find your closest stockist. (or online!) www.tritontools.com/en-US/Home/FindDealer
Tritons pocket hole jig looks just like my harbor freight one.
When will the Triton pocket hole jig be sold in the states and who will be the first dealer. Will it be sold at the same price as the Kreg pocket hole jig?
It will be cheaper than Kreg. Kreg is grossly overpriced (at least it is here in the UK) Triton pocket hole jig is roughly half the price of Kreg jig
Pretty
Fun with fractions!
Interesting comparison between Minnesota elementary school math and Texas...
@@pileofstuff Actually, I think Matt when to a Canadian elementary school.
@@kortt If so, that explains his superior education! ;-)
Nice
Matt it just occurred to me that your last name Cremona is synonymous with the area of Italy that is famous for making the worlds best violins, by Antonio Stradivari. The Spruce trees (wood) outside of Genoa and (Cremona where Stradivari is from) make the richest sounding instruments. Violins, Cellos etc. Are your ancestor from there? Is it a grand coinsidence that your passion for wood, comes from this? Please get back to me.....
April is the best. Please include more videos of her. She is an inspiration to us all.
The link to buy the jig is not correct.
When i went to the link and try to buy I got an error.
I like the video april and your friend too I like your project good job you two see u april God bless u and your family.🌯🥨🍔🍟🍕🍲🥗🍿🍳
Lookit Matt, pocket holin' like a champ ;)
Make Brooklyn 💪
Can I see well? April has a T-shirt featuring Makita. :-)
ทำกันสนุกสนาน ทั้งสองคน
i love my teacher april
Is this really the best Triton can come up with to put these two #mastersofwood to work to show off the Triton Tool line? I'm really underwhelmed by the project.
Canned videos dictated by sponsors takes the interest right out of the project.
To be fair they're both far from masters. Matt is a good worker but his design sense is pretty bad.
Safety glasses work better when they are not on your head. LOL
Hey April!
Please don't take this the wrong way, because I am not a hater. It is just curiosity ever since you showed us what the shop was going to look like. Ok, here it is, why the huge shop with the really high ceilings that will make it a pain to cool and heat? Do you plan on making a second floor? I think it is great you have two designated areas for welding and other metal work. At some point do you plan on expanding your business where there will be more employees will be hired? I think of these questions everytime you or someone talks in the vast shop and you can hear an echo. there's no judgment just curiosity. Thank you ahead of time.!!
I can't speak for April but generally speaking 12' eves are standard on shop buildings over 2K²'. A lot of vehicles and equipment exceed 8' in height, basically requiring a 10' door which usually requires a 12' eve. Building a shop that size with less than 12' eves would devalue it from a resale perspective IMO.
Plus, she's from Texas.......
Also in hot climates it is better to have higher ceilings so the heat gathers up high and not right where your head is, therefore keeping you cooler.
Cute Cartoon !!!!
Wish he wouldnt whisper so you can hear what he says, what the hecl was his response for the trick pn figuring out half of a fraction!?
Double the bottom number...i.e. half of 5/8 (.625) is 5/16 (.3125).
👍
🌎
Gone are the days of unsponsored videos with a final wave at the end.
This isn't April's channel.
It's kinda strange seeing Matt with so much free space around him!
it was kinda weird but I liked it
@@mcremona it was weird hearing you have an echo in that big shop!!
April, Matt, how far do you guys live from each other? :)
1200 miles
April is an insanely talented wood worker!! I have been following her on her channel for about four years now!!! She has a great sense of humor and has wonderful projects!! Wish more women had her talents, but then again April doesn't just slam people like a lot of other women do either, so she is more of a positive influence for EVERYBODY than most people will give her credit for!!!
I used my hands as a hammer for 30 years because speed mattered. I'm now 70 trying to do stuff in my shop and am in rehab because my hands won't close properly. BEWARE!!
Hello I have a question. Is the person with you Arabic?
I tried to study fractions.... I only got half way through.
Metric is faster and more accurate.👍
bonjour elle bosse bien cette jeune femme elle a aussi de bonne machines et un savoir faire super j aime
Yea, it seems like an awkward first date. Or did something awkward happen before the video??
That is a very good question which the haters may not have considered. Matt said this video was made in the morning and he admits to not being a morning person.
3:06 "Drill in the shelves"? Huh?
Someone at a desk who hasn't picked up a tool edited this video.
They work well, but Triton needs to have better editing. This felt like a wedding video and the sound was very echo-y throughout the video
Idk why but each of your own channels vids seem much better to me. Sound wasn't good in this one and there was little actual content. Maybe do a collab on your own?
No french cleats??????????
Matt's built a Queen Anne Highboy..............from the tree. Just saying........
Yeah lol, too bad it looked goofy as hell. Very under sized cabriole legs for aesthetics and drawers so high you can't even see in them lol. He's a good woodworker but he lacks good design big time.
Is Matt wearing a mic? The audio is terrible.
Ah yes. Triton Tools. I stopped watching and reading about Triton as it just makes me envious. No Triton in my country, and shipping it almost double the cost of anything. I'm here cause I saw April and Matt.
You would be an amazing shop organization consultant.
Safety glasses protecting hair? Hmmm?
Dimensional lumber, pocket holes.... Matt is probably thinking "I´m in it for the money"...
Yeap.
Agreed. This is cringe worthy watch him in this video.
I think safety glasses are actually supposed to cover your eyes...i think. LMBO
Avoid fractions by being sensible, following the rest of the world and working in Metric! Greetings from Ireland, where the only acceptable imperial measure is a pint!
I wholly agree
Nonsense it is all what you are used to.
@@ericcorse - I am of an age where I was taught linear measurement in both Imperial and Metric, slap bang at the time when we were in the throws of metrification. I am able to work in both and as a boat-builder, more often than not find myself working in Imperial. Metric is easier, full-stop. I'm not having to do fractional division, I just have to work to the nearest "1" or at a pinch half. Plus, it's all multiples of ten, so even a mathematical simpleton (I'm actually numerically challenged and have dyslexia) can manage to do the maths without too much hassle.
@@timmymojito I understand metric is more straightforward but I have used both all my adult life but I don't have trouble with either. IMO it is what you are used to.
What’s half of a millimeter? 0.5 mm or 1/2 mm?
Matt using pocket holes is like getting Gordon Ramsey to your house to re heat baby food. A bit over qualified.
More like, Gordon Ramsey coming to your house to re-heat baby food is like Matt Cremona building a Jay Bates project.
No offense, Jay. Needed to give you some credit for this as my two shelves like this were built off of your plans.
But seriously, I’m waiting for Matt to have a video of him growing the tree.
Le porto le mutande ,tu perché non le porti?
I don't throw away scrapes got my coffee table and end tables done it's made outta 60 year old Cyprus that grandpa took outta his aunt's house when he built a addition on her house them old farts didn't throw nothing away
When are you going to go Metric? No worrying about fractions.
No, just worrying that you need to do things like "what's half of 1155 mm?" I'm not saying metric isn't superior, but let's not pretend it's flawless ;)
