subscribing on the strength of this video. Being self taught and having a fool for a teacher I need things explained simply enough for an idiot to understand without being made to feel like an idiot.
The very last piece of advice "use both fences so that the mitre cuts align" is actually crucial to get perfect results. It is harder to do on a frame though...
Thanks for posting, April. Even this 82 year old can learn a new trick or two.
I love how you keep it simple. There are no unnecessary, time-wasting operations.
I've had my table saw for a few months now and I'm definitely finding a need for a cross cut sled. I got on CZcams and came directly to your channel, April, and I found this video. I'm not a professional wood worker....just a home handyman and hobbyist, so I don't need a super serious sled (for now, lol). This video is perfect for the cross cut sled and that 45 degree jig will also come in handy. Thanks very much for sharing your videos!!!
Glad you found it useful. Thanks for watching.
I’m so new that I’ll be back in 2 weeks to watch it again 😅 Great work girl! 😊
I keep throwing together temporary/throw-away jigs and sleds like these just as fast as possible when needed, from the crummiest CDX scrap I have laying around. They last long enough to do the job at hand and then they end up in the scrap pile where they unflattify, warp, twist, de-laminate or otherwise are rendered useless the next time I need them.
Partly it's a function of not having any good place to hang them up where they will be safe from damage, but I also figure, "Some day I'll have some time and I'll make really good ones from nice solid materials and I'll equip them with stops, toggle clamps, etc."
Some day never seems to arrive.
But the ones you've done here are nicely thought out, quick and easy to make, and durable enough to last well until "some day" really does arrive. Seeing as how I am in isolation like everyone else, I just finished a nice storage cabinet to tuck under the right wing of my table saw, and there's plenty of room in it to hold not only the push sticks, tenon maker, and other "good" jigs I've made, but these as well. I think I know what tomorrow's project is going to be.
Thin strip jig looks super easy! Absolutely no reason on earth to make jigs complicated. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge.
Hi April, good basic stuff. It is nice to see you back with traditional woodworking.
Thank you, April. Appreciate that you included plans.
Simple but very helpful accessories.
Thanks April I've been thinking about building a cross cut sled and you came through with some good starting points.
Thanks for the frame jig. what you did in 30 mins took me all day but rewatching your video 4 times gave me the perfect 45 degree corner I desired.
The timing is crazy on this April! I was literally watching table saw jig videos all morning before starting to build all mine, and 2 hours in, you release a video this EXACT topic! 😂 Thank you! 😘
I am very impressed with your knowledge and skill. It is most unusual to find a young lady who is interested in woodworking arts and also great with communication skills for video. I am sure you have a pile of edits we don't see but I am still pleased each time I view your presentations.
Thanks for the useful tips you have given, Wishing everyone a good and safe week.
Already built a crosscut and miter sled but now I will build the "thin strip" sled as well. That is a great idea. Thanks April!
To you and your family, stay safe and healthy.
Thanks,
John
Nicely done and seems much more simple than many of the sled videos I've seen. Thanks.
Bare bones is all I needed for a quick project I am doing. I did not want to build some crazy involved jig that does a 100 things. Thx for the vid April.
Thanks April, I was just about to make a plan for miter cuts for my table saw , Great timing
Brilliant, thanks very much for the detailed run through. Being as I'm currently self isolating I shall be heading to my workshop and making these.
You made it look so easy. My table saw arrived today. These jigs are the first things to be made. Thank you.
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching.
Loving this, will get on this soon. Love the rooster crow at :23.
Hallo April ich bin Stefan aus Deutschland und ich finde deine Projeckte Klasse.
Mach weiter so und bleib wie du bist.
I now feel like I can tackle making my first cross cut sled this weekend. Nothing fancy or expensive hardware, but will get the job done all the same. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for the great video. During current self-isolation, this video helps to spend time interesting.
What great ideas. Thanks for sharing these with us!
Great video April, even this old dog can learn a new trick or two. Stay Healthy !!!
Great video, thank you. love it's simplicity.
Thank you April, Simple, useful, well explained and great ideea
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.
Amazing video April. I am slowly putting my home shop together and everything you do is an inspiration. Thank you!
Hi April, I've been watching your channel for a while now and love it. I have a small shop in my garage (which needs a bit of a sort out).. thanks for the free plans for the table saw jigs, I've been meaning to make something like this for a while and never seemed to get around to it. You have given me the push to get out there and do it! Great to see another woman who loves woodworking as much as I do! Greeting from Canada (Alberta).
Always look forward to your videos whether they are beginner tips and trick or more advanced. You and the channel have come a long way and I applaud you. You are great
Nicely done! This is the type of videos I enjoy watching. Thank you!
Kool!
Thanks for the vid, probably the best one I've see as a new woodworker needing Jigs for my table saw.
look forward to your next project.
Thank you for the plans. Also keep up the great work. You are helping me out being a better woodworker.
Both my son and I just bought table saws and want to stay safe with one of most dangerous tools in our garage. This video was a great start of Jigs and safety Thanks.
Once again a practical, informative and simple instructional video. Thank you April.
The thin strip jig is brilliant. I made one after watching this and it works great, thanks for sharing
Excellent!!! Thanks for share your work.
Good job April ! Three very simple and VERY useful jigs that really help a lot around your shop when using the table saw. They do make working more fun and accurate! Thanks for sharing with us. Fred.
Great video. On my crosscut sled I painted the back block red (to remind me of the danger), and I waxed the bottom so it slides real easy.
Awesome tips April Thank You
April, I've been wanting to build a crosscut sled for awhile; storage in my French Cleat shop has been an issue for me. While watching you build this it dawned on me, I can put the cleats on the top corners of the front and rear fences. They won't be very big but should be sufficient for the task. THANKS !!!
Good projects. The thin-strip sled is a good addition. I would make the two larger sleds the same size, just for storage efficiency.
I really do learn something new from watching your videos. Your ripping small piece jig is simple, easy to make and pretty genius. Well done and thank you...
I good project for self-isolation. Thanks for all your work and advice.
very helpful! I tend to over complicate some things and dont end up doing it due to time. This will get me going and likely will do well for years to come!
April, when I acquired a new tablesaw one of the first things I made was a crosscut slide. Since my area is pretty wet, I did not want the tablesaw table to get rusty and made the slide big enough to cover it. 16 or 18 years later, it has worked both as a crosscut slide and as a table protecter.Dave
The thin strip jig is just what I need this morning. All of the jigs presented today are good ideas. Thank you for sharing, and keep healthy.
Nicely done April, definitely must haves for every shop! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Awesome Jigs April!!! Will definitely use these.
Hi April, you are truly amazing and professional. Enjoy seeing your works
probably the first thin strip jig for table saw. Thanks for sharing
I made a cross cut sled some time ago but shy'd away from a mitre jig this video has de-mystified the process also the thin strip jig is one i will definitely make.
Thanks April, great video.
Thank you for the plans
This is the first time I have seen the thin strip jig. I’m going to make this . You are easy for me to understand. Thanks for making the videos. Tommy
Yes first time for me as well. I'm making one tomorrow
Made a variant of your miter jig and it is wonderful. Thank you!
So much better than 1 jig in 3 videos!
Thanks for the video! I have been wanting to build these for mine.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. The shop looks amazing.
Thank you for the video and the free plans!
Very clear and detailed description of the process. Based on your example, I'm going to make a 45 degree miter jig for my home woodworking shop. Thank you very much for the lesson! You are the best.
Awesome! Glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing that, well done!
Super simple, great quick project for being stuck inside.
I discovered your channel today. You are awesome! You are a brave, strong and very talented lady. I am learning a lot from you.
Thanks for sharing
I just got a table saw, so I came online looking for some information about using it and different tips and techniques. Wanted to say, of all the videos I have watched, you're the one that has taken the time to really explain what you are doing and why. I appreciate that a lot!!! Thank you.
I made this miter sled today, thanks April!
April, as a newbie I need all the help I can get .And although these items you have made are basic, they will help me to get started.thanks for showing us these gigs. It's s great start.
Thanks. As always, a great video.
As always, another great and handy video. Thanks!

Kerja bagus April...
From...BrothersWood INDONESIA..
Your outtakes and bloopers are like my everyday woodshop experience 🤣
Excellent video now i need to build all three of these for my saw
So helpful, thanks!
I really like the Quick & Thick glue. I have been using it on segmented bowls I have been making. I really like the thin strip jig. That is one I will have to make.
I now know what I'll be doing tomorrow. Thanks for this!
Once again, another great video!!!
Good stuff, young lady. I hope you're getting some relief from the kidney infection. Take care.
Thank you April, another great video; interesting and informative, I am another one of your subscribers, who have been watching table saw sleds videos, for the last few days, it was great to find yours.
On another note it has been great to see the progression of your workshop over the years, brilliant
Take care and keep the videos coming
Sam N.Ireland
Great video. Well explained and easy to follow
Great table saw tips 👍
Hi April, I have watched polts of videos on making sleds but this has to be the one that describes the processes the easiest. I still have to make my sleds so I will be using your methods. Cheers, Huw
I am very jealous of your shop. I think I know what I want my future shop to look like!
Hello April , you are a restless girl I so proud of you . but today is my very sad day coz we lost my favorite singer Mr.Kenny Rogers and I hope on your next video can you please kindly let your background music the Gambler by Kenny Rogers finally I wish you all the best and to be safe you and your beloved family your love one as well from this CORONAVAIRUS God Bless us all and take care
Jut downloaded the plans. Thanks April!. I watch your videos but rarely comment......you are an inspiration to this old man, and fellow Texan. I concentrate on making freehand cut wood signs with a router (I follow Eric Rhoten on CZcams channel "Oldave100" and have attended one of his training seminars). I have needs for building all three of these jigs. So your timing was perfect! Thanks again for all you do for all of us!!
I loved that you pulled your hardware out of a junky old shop drawer and not some custom cabinet that you spent 3 weeks and $3000 building.
Great tips and tricks. Thanks for sharing.
Lovely as always.
Thanks so much for these. I made 2 of them today and will try the third next weekend. I was suffering from analysis paralysis and you helped me get back to simple. The biggest fear I had was the runners and your first jig worked great.
Awesome! Glad you found it useful. Thanks for watching.
You never let us down.
