Took about 20 tries but I finally beat this mission again. Games aren't made like this anymore

It would be drastically easier if Tommy could walk when crouched and aimed better from a far distance. Plus, the gun selection system is very slow for situations like getting down of the car and selecting the weapon you need. It's true, games aren't made like this anymore - sometimes for good.

This mission still gives me the shakes. This one time, I made it all the way to the hospital, parked up, then one of Diaz' guys comes out of nowhere, drives over the sidewalk, runs Lance down, and makes me fail the mission.
I’ve seen that happen before on another video and that is literally the stupidest way to fail. Especially after all that trouble in this mission
There was a time during The Job when I was walking into the bank with the crew and Cam was run over by a car and mission failed

For that mission you just need a sniper rifle. Instead of following the train head to the level crossing with the parked car and kill the engineer and Vagos with the sniper rifle.

I also am a complete idiot and didn't think to take the garbage truck to drive Lance to the hospital because those dickheads can't destroy the truck be crashing into it, they just wreck their own car instead. This mission is actually easy as fuck.
wafflcoptr For the Hydra mission you just need to land the jet at the verdant meadows airstrip, exit it and go destroy the boats on your own without the jet. To lose the other Hydras, carefully land at San Fierro and they will crash.
This was one of the most unreasonably difficult missions... I would say it would be in the top 3 hardest missions if not the most.

Yes, but it had various problem in the HD format, so I re-upload it.
The hardest part isn't even shooting the guys. The hardest part is when 5 cars crash into you immediatly and blow up your car.

I even used a cheat code to spawn the military tank and the dam thing glitched and the tank fell on me

I used Diaz's silver admiral from the Guardian Angel mission for this one. The car is immune to bullets, fire, explosion, and damage. I just did drive-bys on those goons, and didn't take a single damage
Wu Liwei here's a tip get a helicopter park it buy the entrance kill all the goons free Lance and go back to the chopper and gain altitude as quick as POSSIBLE then fly to the hospital.
This is the way.

Bro. I played this on my uncle's laptop with a touchpad and one of those red mouse sticks. This and the demolition one (where you have to fly a drone) were the most difficult for me.

I took me 4-5 times to figure it out,but it is best to kill all of them before you get to Lance and then drive him to the hospital with trashmaster,it's the easiest way...
Or collect 90 Hidden Packages before attempting the mission. That way the Rhino Tank will spawn at Fort Baxter Air Base (Vic's old army base I believe) and then just use the tank in the mission. Makes the chase to the hospital easy as hell

I finally beat this on PS4 using the garbage truck. It doesn't always appear though, sometimes one of the bad guys would come up in it and sometimes not. It's great though, a lot easier than using the car on the side of the junkyard.
No you have to have the right gun, I kept using this one gun the whole time and I kept dying you need to pick up the gun that they drop it kills them fastrr
or you can just go to the alleyway with the red bridge and avoid the chasers
this was propably the hardest mission in the game for me. I completed even the last mission on the first try but this...propably 20.

@@AchtungBaby77 that mission is actually quite easy if you have all the buttons in your keyboard. I remember 10-15 years ago I didn't have a keyboard with numbers on the right so it was impossible to me to pass the demolition man.
"Demolition Man" was a cake walk compared to "Death Row"!

Guys! If you’re having trouble with this mission take the garbage truck to transport Lance to hospital. It sounds weird but trust me the garbage truck may be a little slow but it’s very tough. This is opposed to driving a regular car and getting it rammed multiple times by Diaz’s men to the point where the car is damaged and in flames and therefore resulting in Lance’s death. Also stock up on weapons before you start the mission preferably the shotgun. That will blast the men on the ground away.

This mission is total BS,
1. All the enemies just pop up out of nowhere, start shooting you
2. If you reach lance when he has a quarter of the time left, he automatically dies meaning mission failed
3. When driving lance to the hospital, all the enemy cars bashing into you is too much that it sets your car on fire really quickly so you have to get out while lance is either still sitting in it or just getting out and it explodes...
I've attempted this mission 7 times now and all 7 times lance has died due to exploding cars or reaching him with loads of time left and I aparently didn't get there in time...
Use cheat code "panzer" to spawn a tank. Kill most enemies with a tank, then kill the rest of enemies with a mini gun (cheat code "nuttertools" ). After you kill all of them rescue Lance, then go into the tank again and then go to hospital. Tank can't be set on fire in GTA Vice City.
I suggest you use the FBI washington prior to this mission. If it's still present after you rescue lance, it's quite effective at outrunning comets.

Because in this mission, Tommy doesn't work for anybody, he just rescues Lance. In other missions, he works for gang lords, mafia, all kinds of shit, and those people pay him.

I remember the first time I passed this. In like the cheatiest way with no cheats, if that makes sense lol. The car was on fire so I ditched it near the hotel and just legged it all the way to the hospital and miraculously, none of the ramming cars spawned.

After saving Lance and leaving the Junk-yard take the first right and go
over the steel-bridge. Then you will avoid Diazs men and have a easy drive
to the hospital. Another great tip is to use a helicopter.
That is how I passed it, I used the steel bridge.
I am playing these days, since I wouldn't stop talking about it to my husband how I used to 'play' this game. Until this mission I was doing quite well, but this mission I just can't pass... But I am happy reading the comments that it's not just me playing terribly 😅

So Lance apparently didn't learn his lesson from two years ago when he got knocked out by Mendez twice after attempting to take him out on his own.

I didn't have that much trouble with this mission. I did fail it a lot, but mostly by trying to use the helicopter. If you load yourself with Uzi ammo you can pretty much run through and shoot everything.
The last bit is pretty rough, though.
this mission is one of my favorites, and one of the hardest for me to finish x . x but i love it! haha
As I said, write in english because nothing has sens. As you can see, I talk english so you don't need to let google to the dirty work.
using a chopper really helps with the mission, plus, collecting all the packages and completing the pizza boy and vigilante missions helps.
This man is a real gamer because he doesn't use any cheat to play the game
FUCK YES, FUCK YES, FUCK YES!!! Here's a hint: use the Trashmaster. It takes a ton of hits to kill destroy it, and other cars get on fire way too easy when they ram into you. However, it's slow as hell. ;)

I don't remember, I haven't played Vice City in a while actually, but I stopped at the mission where you are shooting down boats with a R.C. plane or something. I moved on to San Andreas eventually and beat that, and currently I'm working on Grand Theft Auto IV, Liberty City Stories and The Phantom Pain, but I've been wanting to play Vice City very badly recently.

The easiest way to do this without cheats is to collect 90 Hidden Packages and the Rhino Tank will spawn at Fort Baxter Air Base. This make driving Lance to he hospital a breeze because the Diaz gang will ram the tank and accidentally blow their own cars up.

I feel like this is the best mission in the game, combined with the next one it feels like the peak of the game and story. After those two missions you do some property stuff and the then battle Sonny which feels like a retread of killing Diaz because it takes place in the mansion.

This mission has to be one of the hardest missions available for the 3D universe, it's straight up there with Espresso 2 Go or any mission where you have to go back to Portland after killing Salvatore.
There is a Way in order to beat this mission
Step 1: Spawn a Tank (Rhino)
Step 2: grab a shotgun and keep shooting
Step 3: when you rescue lance take the tank
Step 4: if the cars are chasing you they will blow up
Step 5: just drive to the hospital
Easiest way is to take the trashmaster, and then Diaz's men can't crash you.
I forgot where you get the Trashmaster
I drove down that one street where I could drive in that alley, & then drive on that empty area behind all the buildings behind the downtown area. Then I drove through that back section to the narrow space to get to the hospital.
I've done this with the sea sparrow helicopter . The sea sparrow is available at the Diaz mansion after collecting 80 hidden packages .

It was released after, but Vice City takes place in 1986, and VCS is in 1984.

My biggest problem with this mission wasn't even to go up to Lance and save him, it actually was that the cutscene just wouldn't trigger at all, and because of that, Lance would just die even though he was saved
I'd recommend doing this mission with the Sniper Rifle. You can get one at the North Point Mall. It pretty much lets you take out all of Diaz' men from a safe distance and you can get to Vance right before he dies.
Stand in the streets right in front of the junkyard, but not too close to the point where the guards start shooting. Snipe all three of them off, then get back into your car and get inside as fast as you can. Stand where the guards you shot were, snipe the ones coming after you, then move forwards. Once you're close enough to the guy on the crane, snipe him off. Move underneath the conveyor belt and snipe the three guards off near the building where Vance is being kept. Run over to him and you should be good.
The car chase isn't as difficult as it relies more on surprise. Just make sure they don't corner you when you get out of the Junkyard and then make a mad dash towards the Hospital.
Top tip for this Mission:
Obtain the Grey Admiral from Guardian Angels. It's easier then.

it took me 12 tries to do this but i finally figured it out.get a car and ram through the 3 guys at front entrance (you may only hit one or two so kill the third one fast.be sure to use the shotgun as it takes them down faster. when u finnally kill all the guys at the scrapyard drive away with lance in the garbage truck it is the most durable car at the scrapyard.diaz's men will constantly be on your tail but will do more damage to their cars just by ramming the garbage truck .hope this helps .ps armor is a must

Well people are talking about how difficult this Misson was but trust me I completed it in my first try. But demolition man kicked my ass it took me about 4 months to complete demolition man.

Why exactly is it shit. IMO it is the best rescue mission in the series.
pelucheCR7 because when you are escaping, the cars chasing you ram into your car until it catches fire.
lance either is not quick enough to escape your car on fire, or he gets run over while trying to escape. either way, he dies almost every single time
Tip:Get the helicopter in the vcn headqauters it’s located on the upper right (>), next to is the entrance/exit bridge to prawn island and that is located in the upper right kill the gangstars then get into the helicopter once you land diaz men will be after you, but they are far away so no need to worry about Diaz men.
Tip 2: If you have all 80 packages a helicopter will spawn in diaz mansion/vercetti estate the helicopter has a m60 attached to it so you can just kill the gangsters on air.
I used the sanchz bike for this, it is a lot easier to control than a car plus you can drive to sneaky lanes where the goons won't be able to follow you.
