The Skyline Valley update added some new weapons to the game. V63 Zweihaender is definitely a contender for the best melee weapon. Let's take it for a spin.

i think something like instigating makes much more sense on this weapon, not necessarily better, but that first hit would be absolutely devastating
Its already nearly always a one hut power attack on muties n basic attack is one hit most of the time on average mobs, bethesda totally gonna ruin this weapon soon
it doesn't need instigating for regular mobs, and Executioner is better for boss fights
I have better grognak axes than this weapon

I can never relax with an instigating weapon. Worrying about enemies who have had their health chipped away at by something else.
As a bloody melee user I can confirm you do buckets of damage with this thing. I dropped 6k on a super mutant yesterday…
Somehow my vampires mr handy buzzsaw is far better better job on my bloodied melee.
So how do you do bloodied damage with a non bloodied weapon? Bit new to the end game and u familiar to the builds

I love this weapon, just slapping the beasties and freaks of the wasteland one shot, would of been nice if it shared plasma cutter mods since its a plasma GS
I think this is the best weapon in the new update. While in a tank full health build, I've crit for 2700+ damage as is. This thing is insane.
Wiggle, the behomeths fire hydrant weapon was added in atomic shop as a skin as part of a super mutant bundle recently.
Would it be possible to test it against bosses? like Earl
this sword is fun to use, havent used my VPS autoaxe since this one dropped, cant compete with auto axe on long term boss but feels like a gundam slashing when you wear power armours

I swopped out my instigating Polehook for this. 2 hitting the Super Mutes at Grafton Steel. Plus it looks so damn cool.
Just letting you know it’s a rare drop but you can get the v63 zweihaender blueprint from Nero event!
The blueprint isn't a plan to craft the weapon. It's camp item for a blueprint to hang on the wall.
I wish it were really a Zweihaender and not just pile of pipes😮💨

Generally not. Inspirational requires you to have a teammate. So does Strange in Numbers. Taking One For The Team doesn't work if you are solo on a team.
I’m a bloodied melee boy and have been for along time and I just don’t see myself ever touching anything other than autos lol

I'm aiming for the plan so I can craft this weapon. I already saw the plan today but I didn't have the caps to buy it.
The blueprint isn't a plan to craft the weapon. It's a camp plan for a blueprint poster.
Been having a lot of fun with this one, jump into a super mutant camp and just keep throwing power attacks at their heads and routinely getting hits for 4500 damage.
This weapon is only a little more damage than the whacker smacker with heating coils but slower
Would have been nice if we can re- mod this weapon
Iv had my bfsp1s gauntlet and power fist for a while and Iv yet to see a better melee weapon. Also unarmed has better legendary perks and only uses 3 points for max damage so you can use blocker and other stuff

I have seen people start experimenting with proper legendary melee perks and zipping around. Very viable, no need for just chainsaws anymore.

best point is that melee weapons dont need ammo :)
The most disappointing part with this weapon for me is it is a loud weapon, meaning the moment you swing it breaks stealth, so there is no point in using this over a chainsaw/auto axe besides fun or RP.
Maybe if we could reroll it, feel the scythe from the scoreboard is gonna have the same issue, but I'm hoping I can at least maintain stealth with that one.
I can still do more damage per second even at lower damage rates with my dual belated chainsaw and this thing does I don’t like the slow attack speed. I got a very fast chainsaw with 40% more speed on top of it and vampire healing rate so I’m practically indestructible and I cut through enemies quicker than this thing can with my melee build
It’s just fun mate using different weapons
Executioners is a bad effect for 2 handed non auto melee. The warglaive with better legendary effects still out performs it.
I wanna try to buff mines, but other than aristocrat (i run a full health build) i dunno if i wanna go for either 40% stronger powerful attacks or 40% attack speed.
@@michelecastellotti9172 I prefer swing speed because it affects normal and power attacks. I run junkies and swing speed and one shot most things with carnivore food up anyway. Instigating with swing speed is probably better for a daily driver though. You will one shot level 100 mobs which is all you need.
Am i doing something wrong because i have all the perk cards as well and it's only 208 for me.
Food buffs and carnivore make a massive difference.

Deathclaw Wellington for strength bonus or Deathclaw Steak for a smaller bonus. Tasty version of either Yao Guai Roast, Mutton Meat Pie or Mutant Hound Stew for extra melee damage.

Not sure what it's considered. There are no mods for it and the damage numbers don't really match anything else. Seems to be a unique thing.

NO there is NO plan.
I beat a level 100 behemoth to death with the Zweihaender and wasn't even perked into melee. It was a hit for hit battle, went on for a few minutes and the behemoth didn't even get near to killing me. Oh, and my problem with it is the same problem I dislike about the rocket sledge is the constant energy buzz sounds. Need to make that sound quiet and only buzz on actual hits.
i still think automatic weapon are best mele weapon, with the vampire perk.
I'm a full melee and I've come to this conclusion:
Automatics are best for bosses, regular melee is best for crowd control(hack and slash).
@@roberts7873 i know it, not melee, but for CC i think cold shoulder is the best, it's shotgun, mean high dismember chance, and it cryo damge slow boss down really fast even it far away.
Try hack and slash with a low dmg auto axe lol

The fire hydrant would be pretty cool as it’s own separate melee weapon but it’s not going to happen considering that there is super sledge fire hydrant skin
I used it on my bloodied PA Auto Axe build.... hits 1800 damage max using power attack (no chems or alcohol)
Obviously it's not a bloodied weapon, but the buffs like need rage ect still wildly buff damage and emergency protocols on the PA give insane durability especially when you you dodgegy perk, with company tea and canned coffee you'll never take much hits, have infinite AP and even if you do take a hit you won't take much damage + born survivor rank 1 will auto stim you 😉
So you taking 40% less damage with emergency protocols
40% less (melee) with Blocker
40% less from power attacking
40 damage resist with nerd rage + 20% more damage and 15% ap regen
And out right not taking the hits with dodgy.......
Build is a bit of beast..... do I prefer it over my Auto Axe?
No. God no.... Auto Axe just touches something, and it will die.... while its number looks lower. It's how many of those numbers it's pumping out every second (it's DPS)
The zweihander may hit incredible hard..... but it's also incredibly slow, which means that 40% resistance from power attacking just doesn't cut the mustard and the it just a slower killer with a janky hit box.... like all non Auto melee... the hit boxes are in dire need of fixing.
It's bacisly a weapon that's says if you can't use me to kill in 1 hit.... don't use me over an auto axe.

As far as i know you can't reroll this weapon and there isn't a plan to craft it.
So basically worthless.
There is a plan, I have the blueprint. I believe from the new nuke event.

@coal3426 Yeah. I'm hoping they add it at some point. I'm a 2 hand melee and the weapon looks amazing. Instigating/Swing Speed would be amazing.

No their not the railway is great for dps as well as the others and this one is great for melee builds
It's pointless if we can't reroll it. I don't use power attacks, I use vats attacks.

Idk what they are thinking with these dog shit roles on weapons that are supposed to be fun to use. I like it but wow could of been way better
They are thinking that it is a great weapon for new players. Also since it is not BiS you need to do the grind, and that is the main goal.
